This was definitely an emotional rollercoaster.I felt so many emotions while reading this ,i was on the verge of tears.I never do, there's rarely anything that makes me but oh god, this? It felt like I'm reading my life story written in pages, all my intrusive thoughts, thoughts that I never want to think, those I buried deep inside poured into the pages.
I'm still not over the fact how this book made me feel. I don't have words except it was beautiful. It felt like someone understands the struggles, the pain and provided comfort. Every page encourages you to embrace your scars without shame and to see healing as a powerful, ongoing journey. It’s the kind of book you return to when you need reassurance that your feelings are valid and that strength can grow from even the most fragile places. A heartfelt, empowering read that stays with you long after the last page.

A must read for sure!!

I just finished Hidden Narrative by sohini and I don’t even know how to put this into proper words. This book made me feel so much at once.
In the beginning, I was completely shattered. The way she writes about pain, grief, family trauma, love, abandonment and identity felt so real that I was in tears. It did not feel exaggerated or dramatic. It felt honest. I saw parts of my own past in those poems and it honestly hurt, but in a way that felt understood.
As I kept reading, there was so much healing between the lines. Her words felt soft, like someone gently reminding me that I survived and that I am enough. Sometimes a poem felt like a hug, and sometimes it felt like a quiet truth I needed to hear.
I felt seen while reading this book, and that is something very rare. I have so many favorite lines that I had to pause and just sit with them. This book feels like a close friend who understands your pain without you having to explain it.
Truly a five star read for me.

This book felt like a quiet form of healing for me. It gently explores the thoughts we often hesitate to admit to ourselves, the kind that may feel performative when spoken aloud, yet are deeply necessary for growth and self-reflection.
What resonated with me most was how it reflects on pain and how early we begin carrying it, shaped by our surroundings long before we fully understand it. That sense of uncertainty and emotional weight is portrayed in a very relatable way.
The writing is simple yet impactful, comforting without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of book you read slowly, highlighting lines that feel like they were written just for you. A meaningful and soothing read that stays with you.
