Lola is a book lover with a *slight* romance obsession and a passion for love. Especially love between sassy women and huge, growly magical men ;)
When she's not reading or writing up a storm, she's hanging out with her husband and three kids, or baking something sugary that she *probably* shouldn't eat (but will).
A guide to her books can be found on her website. All of her series can be read entirely on their own, so there's no necessary reading order.
The beginning made me super suspicious and leery that the author was going to sexy-fy a douchey, controlling asshole. The power dynamics were off and I was not happy with it.
UNTIL...
The heroine sets boundaries. Like seriously. She did what my therapist says we all need to do. She lays out what she will put up with and what she will do if he continues his controlling way and she DOES NOT BUDGE.
There is no body betrayal here. She may want him, but she wants ALL OF HIM. She doesn't want his piddly offerings. She wants him at her feet... And by her side, cause she's all about partnership.
»The first time we touched, you eased my pain. That's when I knew you were mine.«

❥ 𝑲𝒂𝒕 𝜗𝜚˚⋆ I adored her. She‘s intelligent, very nice and stands her ground against Callum. Her inner wolf was funny af.
❥ 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒖𝒎 ⋆✮ He‘s a grumpy royal fae with a soft spot for his woman.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 I really love Lola Glass and her amazing books. She writes the perfect Fantasy romcoms with a lot of humor, some smut and an interesting storyline. This one was a good book as well. It‘s a quick read due to the fluent writing style and pace. I enjoyed the plot, the characters were well created and the love story is emotional with some twists and turns. Kat and Callum have good tension and I liked them as a couple. Kat is the typical sunshine character while Callum is cold as ice. Their dynamic was kinda funny because Kat had Callum wrapped around her little finger. This book was fun to read and it kept me entertained.
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 ₊ ⊹ protective and possessive hero, forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, he falls first and harder, fated mates, one bed, fae king x werewolf woman, touch her and die, secrets and lies, romcom, fantasy
One of her best series to date. I NEED the next books immediately. Mutual sexy pining, he’s convinced he could not POSSIBLY fall in love. She’s like “nice try bitch you shall love me.”
First, the world building is confusing and not explained well. Women are alphas and men are betas. But not all alphas have to be alphas. And alphas don’t hold any power? But they’re in control?
The FMC’s sister Gwen dumps her fiancé for a beta named Simon. The FMC spoke against Simon and her sister and parents disowned her over her misgivings. Simon has several alphas and is sleeping with all of them. But Gwen is the alpha over all (or majority) of wolves in the city. But she wasn’t in control bc Simon was beating her.
The FMC explains alphas are well treated because Betas are “a dime a dozen” and alphas are in control. It doesn’t seem that way.
FMC makes a big deal about being rejected by her whole pack but her business is successful because (according to MMC) the shifters are supporting it bc she’s one of them.
The world makes no sense. There’s contradictions and underexplained bits that don’t fit.
And Gwen’s behavior is never explained. She dumps her amazing fiance that she was nuts for and no time is given to this. Then she says she is sorry and their parents just hug the FMC like nothing happened. There’s no emotion at all in relation to her family. None. FMC is sad and upset but that’s it. The characters are flat and undeveloped.
And the business? You’re telling me her business grew from one location to a total of 23 in 5 years AND she was single-handedly running the business herself. For all locations? What? This is such fantasy nonsense.
I just am so disappointed. This was just not good. I didn’t even finish the epilogue.

There were a lot of moments where things were told to us rather than shown and I really hated that. I was especially disappointed to miss Kat’s family dinner where she reconciled, or at least made the steps to, with her sister and parents. The way Glass had written these particular moments felt a lot like she was just going through the motions, like she wanted to just get them out of the way.
I liked Callum and Kat enough, they were pretty inoffensive, but I wanted more from both their characters and the story itself. I think there’s a really interesting premise here that would benefit from being fleshed out better. I particularly liked Callum’s story, his powers, his chronic pain and the troubles he has faced because of it, the loneliness it has caused him.
Though I do think Glass has quite the talent with side characters because I loved Liv and I especially loved Merrily. Although, probably not enough to tune into their instalments.

The werewolves were barely werewolves. The fae were barely fae. The “royalty” were essentially just important without any ruling? This book felt like a romance book that just threw some basic fantasy elements in to make it “more” or “different” but it totally failed at developing what could have been a really rich world full of interesting characters.
3. Kitabı da merak ediyorum.
As usual, so cute (even if he basically abducted her. We all have our flaws.) I can't wait for the next stories in this world, or for the "longest book she has ever written" that isn't quite ready yet, as she tells us in the afterwords. I'm so stoked 🥳🥳🥳
Lola Glass is officially one of my very favorite authors. Her books are such a fun escape, like a mini vacation. Her characters, world building, and plots are enjoyable but not complex. There’s no trying to figure out what’s going on, just an easy, engaging story. Every book I’ve read, is a pleasure to read and I always finish with a smile.
Pretty Little Wolf, is the first book in the new Fated Mate Bonds series. It features a fated mating between a powerful fae and a “pretty little werewolf”. The only thing is, the werewolf doesn’t know they’re fated, not even after her mate kidnaps her!
Fun, romantic, spicy, paranormal romance with amazing characters and a slow burn plot that will have you impatient for the next book.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So….this was kind of disturbing even though nothing really happened?
They make a deal, he lowkey kidnaps her, she’s just like “fair enough“, she really wants to bang, he is literally terrified of that and most of the book is about the FMC trying to get the MMC to have sex with her. And how does she do that? Well, her ✨biology✨ makes her heat soooo unbearably painful, if she doesn’t have sex with the MMC…so he is basically guilt tripped into sleeping with her because “by trying to avoid hurting her he physically hurt her the most“ or however he says it… What the fuck?😅 How is this the solution the author came up with? That is terrible and sooo wrong on so many levels.
I was going to give this like 3 stars originally but the more I think about it the more uncomfortable this whole plot makes me…1✨

Honestly I don’t think That Lola glass could miss right now. Every series just gets better and better. I loved the FMC- I love her sassy wolf- I love the MC - and the side characters are all fantastic. It’s a good sassy romance with a found family and strong female lead.
This book had moments of four stars and moments of two stars so therefore I’m giving it three stars.
The good:::: The MMC-I genuinely understood where he was coming from most of the time, and I didn’t dislike him, and when he became obsessive about her, it was really well done The gravel that he felt in the emotions that he felt when she was in pain was done really well as well The FMC- she was very strong. I liked her wolf, and I liked her thought process and how she went about everything.
The bad:::: The MMC genuinely does not make a decision to even come close to having a relationship until the 88% mark when the FMC is in severe pain for days on end They both drop that I love you and it kind of felt out of nowhere cause I genuinely didn’t feel like their relationship actually grew to that. I think that they just spent time together and it felt like I’m manipulation on both ends. The other books that we’re supposed to be getting is everyone else-their stories— and I kind of don’t want them to be honest. It’s so messy. Everyone’s story is just a mess The next one is gonna be a three-way relationship, which is dumb. I genuinely hate her sister, so I don’t know why I would want to read that and then we’ve got a bunch of miscommunication tropes happening all the time.
Honestly, I don’t know if I’m gonna continue the series because it’s just kind of a mess
2.5 stars -If he ain’t fae, he ain’t bae lol I remember my fae days -all I wanted to find and read were books with fae in them —oh man the many “a court of something” books that were out there lol Anyway, in this book there is a dark powerful fae king who found his fated mate in a werewolf fmc who needs funds to open up a cafe so she strikes up a bargain with him (not knowing he’s her fated mate) This was just silly smut that was entertaining- a palate cleanser if you will.
This book was what I needed right now. Even with the bad writing, I could feel the tension between the two characters.
For 384 pages, there sure is a lot of telling instead of showing - which does bother me. Why are we skipping conversations? Being told things like 'he whispered dirty things for the rest of the night' instead of telling us what was said? This feels less immersive to me.
The world-building does not make sense in any way, shape or form. The fae are immortals and royal, but there is also a council that runs the town. So why do we need royals? The female werewolves are Alphas and the male werewolves are Betas but there's no explanation on why this is important. We also don't see any examples on why that would matter in the world outside having a seat on the council. Kat gets cut off by the werewolves because her sister becomes the Alpha, but her cafes are succeeding due to the werewolf support of her business. None of it is adding up!
The conflict with Kat's family gets completely blown through with a 'hug and apology'- after five years of no contact and holding a grudge... this also makes no sense.
There are multiple passages and sentences that are written in a way that are unclear. I found myself having to re-read sentences multiple times to try to understand what they meant. Some editing would help this!
There is no plot outside the romance- but maybe that's for the best.
Unfortunately, I did like Callum. He felt real and fleshed out to me as a character and I felt his tension in trying to do the right thing but not wanting to ruin his one chance at a fated mate. While abducting your fated mate is not ideal, she folded pretty quickly (a problem I have with her character development), and it worked out in the end.
Look, I read it in a day and it made me feel something. Depending on what you're looking for, you may find that too.
I'd love to edit the fourth book before it comes out, PLEASE hit my line.
Lola Glass writes paranormal stories that have all the supernatural vibes with romance and love weaved through for that epic experience. There’s a reason I continue to go back for more with her books and it’s because I love getting swept away into other worlds where werewolves are possessive alphas, omegas are treasured and fae royals are obsessive stalkers.
This was a great start to a new series that I know is going to be another favorite. This was a really slow burn romance but was perfect for the story. I loved the banter between Callum and Kat, the budding friendship with Liv and Kat and all the sexual tension Callum was holding in.
I can’t wait to read more of these royal fae and their unique magic.
Honestly might be my favorite Glass book to date… really enjoyed Callum and Kat, and the book was just long enough to really feel like it had some meat to it.
I was worried Callum would be a bit unlikable until he sorted his fears and feelings, but our little “light-stalker” was incredibly charming and sympathetic. I felt for his situation and wanted to know more. It was easy to root for him. Kat was just as likable, and extremely relatable. She wasn’t sassy per se, but she stood up for herself when most women would, even when she felt bad for Callum. I felt their relationship had a natural emotional progression and they both made choices that made sense.
I wanted more spice, but was there was emotionally charged and decently written. I absolutely loved the side characters/found family. All of their interactions were hilarious and I can’t wait for future books. A great new romcom-esque shifter pallet cleanser from Glass, with a bit of miscommunication, a dash of sarcasm, a lot of stubbornness, and a swoon-worthy fated mates romance.
this was my first book by Lola so i went into this completely blind. A non reader friend asked me to check it to see if it was worth her trying so I gave it a go and I loved it so much. I thought Callum and Kat were great together and rounded each other out. The side characters were just as good and can not wait for the others Faes to get their books. I will 100% be going back to read more of Lolas books.
A nice refreshing easy read. Didn't really captivate me but served as a nice little pallet cleanser. May read the next one but I might not not sure yet really.
Listen it’s a lil cringe but that’s inevitable. For miscommunication they resolve it in a manner that doesn’t seem too dragged out. Pretty good quality.
Sidenote tho like are we not all tired of the weird nicknames every ML gives his FL? Like what happened to babe, honey, and darling? It’s not that bad here, but I swear every other book I’m seeing little this little that. 🙄
