Ard is back in Avente, but it seems the ripples of war are still flowing and he finds himself in the crosshairs of a group looking to take advantage of two kingdoms with their leadership removed.
At the same time, Ard joins the Enclave's Elders to prove a point to them and everyone that he's not to be triffled with. But he can't just let a group that tried to come after him go and Ard decides to go on one last mission to remove all threats to his budding family.
Born and raised in the agricultural midwest, I moved every year after school even as far as Shanghai before settling down with my wife in Chicago.
I have always enjoyed Wuxia stories and became thrilled when I discovered harem stories spreading to western books. I've written down my day dreams for years as an idle hobby. Inspired by the harem genre I'm finally fleshing them out into full blown novels.
I'm excited to share my stories with you as I turn them into novels and series.
Gwen really has a stick up her a$$. She really shouldn't have given in to the former professor. I feel like she's shown how little of a spine she really has. I feel like Ards family has no right to be be so afraid of her when she rolls over so easily.
It only took me about four days to devour this entire series…I loved just about everything about it. Honestly, I’m going to miss Ard and his harem now that the series is done, but I agree with the author that keeping it going at this point would just be dragging things out…although I would love to see a series in the future starring one or more of Ard’s children. It would be interesting to see how they handle the power that comes from being part of that family, and I’m assuming they are all demigods?
All in all though, this was one of the best series I’ve read and also one of, if not the funniest series I’ve read as well. Very well done
I love Bruce’s work, and this is no exception. I’ve absolutely loved reading this series, one of my all time favourites. The characters in this one were so good I can’t even fully put into words. Ard is probably again one of my all time favourites too, and how he interacts with the world and the other characters is just on another level. Absolute top quality writing there.
And to top it all off, the series was ended leaving you feeling satisfied. No real big cliffs, no big unresolved plots. Just damned good feels.
Can't believe this great series is truly done. The setting was great, the magic was awesome and the twists just made the tale ever more fun. The finale was just the perfect last bite to closer the tale. Maybe we will get a sequel in this world where we hear tales of the mighty 4 sphere godmage but for now I say to anyone that wants a story that from start to finish, has the characters use sass over just raw anger and power to give Ard's Oath a chance. You will be thoroughly delighted.
While certainly a quick end to the adventure of Ard and Co, it felt like a nice way to do it. Ards story feels so far like one of my favorites from Mr. Sentar, strong characters and a well established world. I think if there was motivation for it this world had potential for even more, but I'm also happy with what we got. Looking forward to your next projects :)
This was a great series, I do wish we slowed the ending down a little more. I didn't get a feeling of actual conclusion and it sucks because you get the hollow feeling. The end is by no way bad but I just didn't not click with me, Dragons Justice kind of had the same thing with it's ending but not as bad as this. Regardless this was an amazing series with some of the best characters Bruce as ever written. Looking forward to a new series soon.
This book returns focus to the characters and their relationships, which remain well written and interesting. The balance between character moments and plot moments is good throughout. The plot itself is very rushed, giving us little time to explore the world and undercutting the threats significantly.
Overall, a fun read, but without a compelling longterm expectation.
Terrific ending to a fun, always entertaining series. I really liked that some key characters from the series were given a moment or two in this final chapter: Izzy and Freddie in particular. Ard , reluctantly, continued to mature, and it was to see he and Gwen establish a positive, growing relationship. So many wonderful characters ( Merribelle, my favorite) will be missed.
This series had its up and downs for me, but Ard was such a charismatic MC that even at its low points it was fun to read. That said, at first i thought the end was a bit too abrupt until I read the last chapter and felt fulfilled. The final chapter brought it all together and felt like a GOOD end. All series should be so lucky.
Honestly sorry to see this series end. I always loved the humor and comedy of Ard and wished I could be as quick witted with my words as him. While having a series end is never fun, it did so with a great sense of closure I can't complain about.
Concluded series fairly well without seeming rushed or dragging out. Maintained all the good bits of past books, similiar continuation of plot line, all characters stayed fairly balanced in story except for one or two that seemed missing, but it was understandable. Overall great book.
A perfect end to an amazing series. I’m just sad it’s over. I love all of Sentars series but Ard’s Oath was special for me out of them all. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
The conclusion of Ards Oath, heavily focused on characters, relationships, and choices instead of plot events. Drags in places, but witty and fun throughout. An enjoyable conclusion.
Really sad to see the end of this series but understand your trains for finishing it. Erik miss cyam the good boy that he is and now only getting a little of freddie. Keep on bringing your great stories thanks for all your work.
A expert storyteller draws the reader in so much that time seems.to stand still. This author not only n does that but also makes.you eager to read the stories again!!! I for one.can't wait to see.what comes.next!!!!
I really enjoyed reading this book and series. I'm sad to see it end. The characters were that enjoyable. The book was funny and engaging. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and entertaining. This book and series are definitely worth checking out.
Really loved ard and cyam and hate to see the series end but I understand it. Here's hoping we get another main character with the sarcasm sense of humor.
This series badly needed to end (maybe 1-2 books ago) and this is an end. I still really like the series, but this book didn't really stand up well.
Ultimately things were more-or-less wrapped up, and it's...fine. But the quality and enjoyment dropped off a LOT from the first 3-4 books to here.
If you got this far into the series, you might as well read this, although I won't blame you if (as I did) you skimmed a bit to just pick up the key story beats.
