Sandra Jean Paulsen was born on 9 August 1953 in Concordia, Kansas, USA. She graduated of Cloud County Community College, and worked as Secretary for Brown Business Service. On 23 October 1973, she married Joseph Benjamin Detrixhe, and they had three children; Jonathan Joshep (1975), Eden Jean (1978) and Paul Benjamin (1981). She was published under the pseudonyms of Cassandra Austin and Sandra August.

All in all, not a bad book. A bit choppy, but that didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. If you like wagon train stories with flawed main heroes and a lovely cast of secondary characters, I recommend that you give this one a chance.

A escrita um tanto desequilibrada fez com que as cenas entre os capítulos ficassem truncadas.

Um dos problemas foi o fato que a tradutora resolveu mudar o nome da personagem tradicional de Sarah para Débora.

it's been long I read this novel and I just remembered it today so I've forgotten most of the plot but I remember enjoying it a lot
