My blood type is Aeroth.

I am loving the direction of this epic space opera and I can't wait for the next installment.

If you love space/world traveling, broody vampires, badass MFCs, questionable redemption arcs, and lots of daddy issues....this is the series for you!

I have been on this series journey with Mina since right after her first book release, which has been an honor. But I’m here saying this with my whole chest and my personal ability to be very loud: THIS BOOK WAS MY FAVORITE!📢

Here are my chaotic thoughts that you have to read the book to understand *hint hint*
(wait…am I also technically a daughter of chaos…because I’m chaotic….??? TBA)

📚Aeroth is kind of a daddy. Must read this book to inevitably agree with me.
📚Cylas has been my man since book 1. In my mind, he totally has that ‘grown out hair with it shorter on the sides’ look that I’m currently very attracted to. He doesn’t have that, but I feel the vibes
📚Elinoor sounds like a planet that would house many Ewoks and I will not change my mind on that
📚I’m going to be so bold and say that Khellios needs to stop it.

This book was one that hooked me from start to finish and The Daughters of Chaos series keeps getting better 👏

❣️I have decided recently that I will no longer rate indie books that my friends have written. But I will do everything else for them, including reviews, content posting, and screaming from the rooftops about their books😌

📖Thank you for the ARC, Mina and Wicked Reads!

I’ve been Riding along with Renna’s journey since day one and I can say with confidence that this is my favorite book in her story so far. And I concur with another reviewer and say that my blood type is also Aeroth: consent King with fangs and (according to Renna) slangin that big vampire dong. I really enjoyed watching Renna and Aeroth’s relationship develop and her come to trust him. I liked getting more character development from Cylas (even if he whores himself out to undeserving forest pixies) and I’m interested to see where his story goes.

Renna’s relationship with her sister’s is interesting and I’m excited to get more of that in the next book as well as Elrie and Khellios, who seems like he may be finally giving up on his HEA with Renna and seeing the amazing badass who always has his back?

Honestly this book felt like a primer to get ready for the next book, but I savored the relationship dynamic between Renna and Aeroth that I just need the next book like yesterday. There wasn’t as much spice in this book as the first two, but Mina is ramping up the yearning like no- one’s business and when they finally smash, I’m sure it will be all the chili peppers.

Thank you, Mina!

MINAAAAAA!!!! (In my Klaus Michaelson voice) You’re killing me woman with the cliff hangers.

Initial thoughts

A King of Crimson Dreams starts off right where we ended the second book. It is fast paced, delicious and addicting!
AGAIN I ignored all responsibilities and was up until 4am finishing this book. Mina has expanded the world even more from the first two books and it is a well blended mix of space opera meets romantasy! Cylas will always be my man but Aeroth 🥵 take me now. My poor baby Sethos, didn’t get to see too much of him in the third book but I hope Renna is able to help him. Mina does a great job of incorporating trauma and healing throughout the books with some delicious spicy scenes that make you crave the next. I could do without Khel’s POV I honestly couldn’t care less since he’s bored me from book one, also man it’s time to give it up. As always I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! If you leave me with a cliffhanger again I might die.

Thank you so much Mina Castillo for trusting me with this ARC. I’ve enjoyed being on this journey with you from book one!

Mina B Castillo continues to impress with the third installation in the Daughter of Chaos series. A King of Crimson Dreams picks up where we left Renna being rescued from Daya. There's so much happening here and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Castillo has created an FMC who tugs on your heartstrings in the most desperate way. I want Renna to get a HEA that heals her from all the pain in her past.
All of the things that I've loved about the other books hold true here. The world-building is immersive & complete. The different settings are unique and well-detailed. I can see precisely what each one is like. The same is true of the different cultures/peoples. There are layers of lore for each. The characters come to life on the page. Their emotions & struggles are gripping. Even Sethos, who you want to hate, is compelling. My only "complaint" is the cliff-hanger. Castillo is a mastermind at leaving the reader wanting one more chapter. This is a must read (after you've binged books 1&2).

Book two ends with Renna getting some very interesting information. This book picks up exactly where we left off. War is near, and Renna cannot catch a break. There is a new man in her life that she SWEARS she wants nothing to do with, but also can’t seem to stay away from. Sisters she needs to work with, yet there is some drama there. And of course, there is Cylas who… well … Cylas is just Cylas (he is one of my favorite characters)

The world-building is just great. You will want to vacation on these planets. The ending..I cannot wait for the next book.

If you like space operas, rejected mates, SPICE, and forced proximity, this book is for you! I do not want to give any spoilers, so you are just gonna have to pick up this book and read it. Make sure to read the first two books in the series.

Every girl has a type and Aeroth with a small side of Cylas is exactly what I ordered 😏

I've been itching for this Book 3 in the series and it did not disappoint! I have enjoyed the storyline and how the world has gotten bigger. Mina did a great job of bringing tension back into a story that had evolved into spice in earlier books🔥
I'm really interested in where the plot is going, especially after that diabolical ending. It will leave you craving the next installment.

MINA!!!!! I devoured this book and left no crumbs.

🌌Summary:

This book picked up after book 2. Rema has found out that her mate is Aeroth, King of the Astral. They both must find a way to deal with this new situation they have found themselves in while also trying to capture and save Sethos from Am-Re, her father who has taken over Sethos’ body. It follows them in their journey along with some other characters (won’t spoil too much), to follow a premonition that will help them on their journey.

Rema wants Sethos alive, yet Aeroth was tasked with taking him down. Will they be able to agree on how to handle Sethos or will Am-Re make their decision for them.

🌌Thoughts:

I am loving this sci-fi Romantasy series. Mina does an amazing job being descriptive without confusion and did an excellent job with character development. Now, with the completion of book 3, it continues to be fast paced with twists and ending with a cliffhanger.

I feel for my boys; Cylas, Khellios, and Sethos, but Aeroth is my mans. He cares for Rema and gives her space and allows her to heal from her past trauma.

I love them together and hope there will be more of them as well as the other men who lust after Rema in the next book.

Thank you so much, Mina for allowing me to read this ARC. Cannot wait to read the next one.

ARC Review-

This has got to be one of my favorite books I’ve read this year. The forced proximity and the rejected mates? To die for. Aeroth?? 🥵 I NEED the next book already 😭

This book cements it. I absolutely adore this series. The journey just keeps getting better. I thought I liked Sethos until I met Aeroth. Like this man is fine and so respectful. While reading this I felt uncomfortable with the amount of communication (in a good way, guys!). Tells you a lot about the books I read XD.

This has mate biting to subdue distance pains and the scenes were so hot. Especially Aeroth coming from a race that is seen as deadly and not worthy of Reena made all the tension better when the feelings developed. I love that we get more glimpses into the sisters and their potential love stories was a cool addiction to the book.

5 star read for me. Can't wait till the next one.
