This book confused me. Between the back and forth of past and present, I wasn’t truly sure what was going on. The MMC is a mafia leader and never told his wife the FMC. We as the readers think she found out about it and left for 5 years. But as you read further you realize she has skeletons in her closet and tries to play victim all the time which is very irritating. Own your shit and move tf on. It was as if the FMC kept playing the blame game as if she was so perfect. We didn’t truly get a glimpse of any of the skeletons until we meet her cousin damn near at the end of the book. The hot and cold bs the FMC was doing with her husband was irritating af. Especially because in the flashbacks she kept hiding shit from him. Idk if I’ll read book 2 just off the structure of how it’s written cause it was really hard to follow

I feel like this book was very prolonged and confusing throughout the entire book. Having flashbacks is fine as long as you differentiate between present and past and this book did not do that. Between the structure of the book and all the supposed secrets between every character i just did not understand it. This book wasnt for me but it could be for you so don’t let this review decide if you read it or not.. Everyone’s opinions are different and this is my personal opinion.

Black Mafia Romance Done RIGHT 🔥

This book gave everything a Black mafia romance is supposed to give. Power, loyalty, obsession, and that “you’re mine and I mean it” energy from start to finish. The male lead was dominant without being cartoonish, and the chemistry between them felt intense and earned.

What I loved most was the balance between danger and devotion. It wasn’t just guns and drama : it was family, legacy, protection, and love that runs deep. The stakes were real, the tension was high, and the romance hit hard.
If you love protective, possessive Black mafia men and strong heroines who can hold their own, this one is for you. Five stars, easily.

I Loved every thing about this book.❤️👏🏽The family definitely top tier and I love how we don’t know much about these families and how they all come together. I could tell this author is just beginning their journey. Unfortunately, this book was not for me. I think with a more time and honing of their craft/skills I think it will get better. Maybe I’ll try again one day
