The Way Back to You

Rate this book
Chelsea Quinn had never planned on going home to the coastal town of Somerdale. Not when that town was filled with broken promises, old memories, abandoned dreams and the boy she once thought she would spend forever with.
Chelsea had run as far away from that town as she could, heartbroken and chasing the life she thought she wanted. But when that life began falling apart, she had no choice but to return to the place she had tried to avoid for the past decade, only to find herself faced with Jake Callahan, her first love.

Time had changed both of them. Chelsea, now a mother, is trying to navigate her collapsing marriage, and Jake, the one who once broke her heart, is now determined to protect it.
As Chelsea faces grief, motherhood, and the weight of second chances, she must decide whether reopening her heart will heal her… or break her all over again.

A moving story of love, loss, finding yourself again and the courage it takes to start again.

"Life isn't a single decision. It's a thousand little choices every day."

I loved this heartfelt and relatable story about a woman trying to figure out what she truly wants from life when her marriage no longer feels quite right. A return to her hometown stirs up old memories, emotions and relationships, prompting her to reflect on who she is and what she wants, beyond being a wife and mum.

The author’s vivid, descriptive writing made it easy to picture what was happening. I could clearly imagine each moment. The style of writing made the characters feel real and incredibly easy to connect with. The glimpses into the past added meaningful depth, revealing important backstory and creating an even stronger emotional connection between the reader and characters.

An honest, emotional read about self-discovery, growth, and finding the courage to follow your own path.

Wow to say I loved this book would be an understatement. I think all mums can relate to the character of Chelsea and how it feels to lose yourself over time. But was a fierce reminder to chase your dreams and be true to yourself. Hoping Ryan gets his happily ever after and hopefully one day we will read Chloe's book.
