⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hiii. I wrote The Detective Therapy and I also cried while writing it. Make of that what you will.
Gabriella Peters is awkward and brave and falling apart in the most human way possible, and I loved her before I even knew where her story was going. I wrote her when I felt invisible, when I thought my voice would never be heard, when life just didn't seem to like me very much. The Detective Therapy is the kind of story that sits with you in the quiet moments when you're not expecting it and it did that for me first. It gave me hope. And a second chance to dream.
This book was born in 2023 when all I wanted was to get the story out. It's 2026 now. She's grown, evolved and better.
There's also a found family that will absolutely wreck and heal you.
This is written, completely unbiased.

Wow this book was so interesting. I loved the found family aspect and how I fell in love with each character. I really love Gabriella bc she feels like a outcast like most of us has felt in their own teen years. It's because she gets visions and makes her different than everyone else. But I still feel her, to my SOUL.
CLARGST the group that gets created is so special to me. Each of the characters bring something so unique and so special to their role in the group. It kinda gives Scooby Doo vibes to me.
I think me and the author are gonna have to chat about the ending though bc even though there's twists and turns alot of things leave you unanswered by the end of the story. But there is gonna be a part 2. Excuse me why I wait and stalk the authors socials bc I NEED SOMETHING.

It was an awesome story. It had quite a few bits of normal everyday life which I like in books. And the near future it seems to be set in allows this fun way to look at life now. There’s more I want to say but I don’t want to spoil anything

If you want a story that young people can enjoy and also get invested in emotional awareness and cool supernatural elements look no further than The Detective Therapy.
The Detective Therapy is a book I bought on a whim and I'm happy to say I didn't waste a dime. It's centered around a young girl with an extraordinary ability, a gift, that helps her see the future, but only the bad things. This lead her into self-loathing and made her self-conscious and insecure like very many teenagers today.
This book explores how she navigates the world with her young mind and extravagant Gift. Gabriella (the girl) experiences love, loss, betrayal, trust issues and everything else a teenager would all while trying to find someone who would be a murderer. It gets even more exciting toward the end. Give us book 2 Chisonari!

Did Not Finish
July 19, 2026DNF'd at around 50%. This isn't a diss, I just didn't feel as connected to the book as I'd hoped. Maybe the protagonists are too young for me to relate to, but I just couldn't empathize with them.
The idea is good, I like the story, I wanted to know what's happening at the school, but I didn't feel any emotional investment. Which is a shame because I got this book after seeing a really heartfelt quote online. Unfortunately, I never even got to that quote.

Adored this book! Loved how between the main crazy there were some slices of everyday life normalcy to balance it out and it really rounded out the story for me! Cant wait for another!

My honest note would be 3.5, but I'm rounding it up to 4 because it's a good first book and I want to send my support for the next one!
Overall, I liked it. I've always loved a good school setting, first of all, and honestly? bonus points for making us follow so many students and still succeeding in making us care for most of them. AND, well, I'm a sucker for a bit of "magic" powers, "peculiarities", you know.
I am a little bit disappointed about not knowing more about what happened to Gabriella for them to completely move continents, BUT, I know, that's only the first book. I'm only hoping we'll have more details about that, it has to be relevant with Gabriella's behaviour. Also I need to mention as a side note: at some point I was very, very annoyed by all the drama.. but then I took a step back : I was being unfair. They are FOURTEEN (almost fifteen, okay) years old kids, my old ass thought about how I was at 14 and well, I wasn't so annoyed anymore, more like, very understanding.
So on a more positive note: I want to hold and protect all of these kids. Call me old but I really identify with Uncle Luke, I would probably behave the same way he does. About Gabriella, she may be a lot but you know what, that's very cool to read : I love witnessing her flaws, her owning up to it, especially because on the other side of that she's genuinely caring and trying hard to be the best version of her.
I also would love to know more about Gabriel, as for now he kinda has this role of "the other twin", "the protector", it genuinely hurt me to read him jokingly talk about being "the lesser twin". I know he loves his sister very much, but that has to be hard sometimes and I'm sure he's probably resentful every now and then. I hope they stay very close and open with each other.
I'm very curious about what will happen next (no pressure!), how the G-twins will evolve, how the friendships will change, what's gonna happen with , and as for the Vandal I have some suspicions, I guess I'll have to wait!

This book is literally hands down one of my best reads of this year.
I finished it at 4 am and there was not a single dull moment in the entire book. Each chapter had me guessing what might happen next.
This book was Well-written, mystery-centered, set in a school, with a gripping plot ( 11 out of 10), vibrant and diverse characters, and disability/modification representation. I was hooked from the first line.
🐝 A set of twins whom I came to absolutely adore
🐝A found family to die for: a FMC who can see the future, her anchor twin and surprisingly a voice of occasional sanity ( he became my absolute favorite), a fiery redhead with her own traumas, a broken, sweet girl, one princess with secrets, a girl who was never chosen, one biker boy, and one absolute diva (Levi is a diva. Fight me) and a uncle who basically gets adopted to be their emotional comfort father.
🐝Traumatic family/backstory for all characters ( author hands them out like candies 😭)
🐝AND such well-written female friendships that I still am not over the fact that the book is finished, and I have to wait for book 2.
🐝Also, did I mention chaos? The FMC and her group ( CLARGST) were a treat to read.
(except the last chapter — my stress level and heart almost didn't survive the last chapter)
🐝 And, bullies get their ass handed to them ( that was soo satisfying to read)
The book ended with me having more questions than when I started it. Can't wait for book 2, to meet them again, and dive back into the journey of finding who the vandal is and what it wants!

As an ARC reader, I’m genuinely excited about this story. From the moment I started the book, I felt immersed—like I was right there, witnessing everything unfold in real time. The FMC’s inner dialogue really resonated with me, as it mirrors my own thought process and made me feel an instant connection to her.
The world-building is well done and engaging. My only critique is that I would have liked more insight into the reason behind the move; that detail would have deepened my understanding. Overall, though, I’m thoroughly enjoying the journey so far.

This is a story for every teenager who has ever felt different. Well written, exciting and thoroughly enjoyable.
I cannot believe the cliffhanger and I hope book two comes out soon!
