There is super-condensed power in the telling of this installment by the dynamic duo of Tamara Rose Blodgett and Marata Eros. Each “makes their signature mark” that digs a little deeper under one’s skin, and burrows a little deeper into the life and dangers faced by our heroine, Nahra.
Faced with her punishment for “over-kill” so to speak, Nahra waits for her lashings to be given by a magistrate who seems to take a little too much pleasure in the pain she will feel. Is there corruption in the justice system? Is the stress causing her blinding headaches or is something else about to go wrong in her life? Not only has Nahra become the prey for her latest target, but now one big, silver-eyed vampire turner seems to be turning up everywhere. Sure, he saved her once, but he had his own agenda and Nahra was powerless against his strength and magnetic pull. Is Nahra’s future about to plunge her into a world of blood and darkness? Will Aeslin be part of her new world? What could a vampire turner want with this hunter? Following on form the first instalment you get right back into the story without hesitation and I think no I know it just got better!!!!
The truth is coming and how will it effect the characters that are involved OMG edge of your seat stuff in this one!!!!!
More of the Turners and Hunters world is revealed and its getting more superb as it goes along, the information given is enough to wet your appetite and still leave you wanting more .
More action and some humor make this instalment a brilliant, interesting and exciting addition to the series.
I like that Tamara doesn't follow an ordinary plot line but goes her own way above and beyond. She will sucker punch you in the first scene and keep them coming.
Tamara/Marata has a real knack at Villains in many of her stories, and Matthews/Benzoi is no exception he is extremely bad ass and I bet before too long we will love him and be hoping for his story.
Another Cliffhanger, what will happen next so much suspense. All up a brilliant second instalment I cannot wait to carry on with the next one. I will most definitely be continuing on with this series.

She's slipping fast and only I can catch her. He didn't look like a man sent to harm. But one to consume. His gaze had been hungry. For me. Sweet baby Jesus. WHOA! Where to begin?? To borrow a line - How do I explain the inexplicable? I thought I was captivated with - by - part 1, but part 2 has me thankful that the other parts are already released so I don't have to hang onto the very edge of my seat for much longer! wink The witty, sarcastic and powerful dialogue continues to delight me! So much so that I feel like Tamara spied on me or mind-read me because it's exactly my kind of humor!! This part of the story had me gasping, snickering, even forgetting to breathe! This is next book in the series and is just as action packed Narah Adrienne has been told that she will have to except her punishment and Casper her boss had given her the task of capturing a fugitive instead of killing him Casper thinks this will work out for her. After meeting Aeslin the vampire turner she also finds out that the reason that Benzoi her target was trying to stick a needle in her every time he sees her. Most of the other books in the series are very short but good for a lunch or br -eak can be completed. I have purchased this book and provided who an honest review.

The continuation of second book. love it! Short and straight to the point. Narah is feeling ill and doesn't know what's going on. She seeks help from an underground doctor and has her sentencing of three lashes coming soon. Matthews and aeslin surprisingly show up in the underground.... Matthews the hunter is feeling some sort of pull towards narah will he do as he is asked or will he have his own agenda? Will aeslin be able to get to her on time? Well, you got to read it cuz I ain't going to spoil it! Can't wait For the next book!

This is the second part of the vampire serial. Narah Adrienne is a hybrid female who has the ability to turn into a vampire with a little help. The Turner wants to help her make that possible and the Hunter wants to make her sterile so she'll live as human for the rest of her life.
Lots of action and suspense in this segment with just enough emotion to make the characters believable. I'm looking forward to reading part 3 when it comes out.

Good story idea if you like paranormal romance. I do wish that the author would rewrite this series as a novel. I believe it would have better potential. I'm on the second book and will see where it goes from here. I do like the action in the first book. No sex so far.

I thought the story was good. It is a shame that it is so short because it is actually equivalent to a chapter in a book. I got Book 1 for free but bought the next two books. It can be expensive to read an entire book and pay for each chapter. The narrator did an okay job. Not one of my favorites.
