Hellspawn Housewives 2

Rate this book
Once a demon killer, now he brings them home.

Gerald just wanted a quiet retirement—steady coin from the occasional monster hunt, a warm tavern at night, and maybe someone else to handle the chores. Instead, his old job keeps biting him in the backside. Sometimes literally. His red-skinned maniac of a maid can't clean to save her life. At least a foul-mouthed imp cook makes up for it with her incredible cooking.

But that's the easy part.

This peaceful little village is crawling with secrets—shady innkeepers, bad contracts, and far too many demons slipping through the cracks. Gerald can't adopt them all. Especially the ones trying to kill him and drag his girls back to the hells.

Fortunately, Gerald likes killing too. And any dumb cambion who thinks he can mess with his home is about to learn exactly why he used to hunt demons for a living.

Welcome to Windystone. The pies are hot and the demons are hotter. Mess with his home, and you're dead.

And so it goes...

Alternate universe, fantasy races, parody of adventuring and rural life, harem adult situations

Gerald helps free another female demon and she naturally falls in love with the MC after a day or two of interactions. A few continuity issues, and after a huge battle where the MC loses consciousness, he never bothers to ask what happened. Or how his sword, loaned to Graceful, was thrown away from the fight suddenly appeared within arms reach of the MC. Hmm.

Not sure all the French and Germans will be as amused by using their languages as demonic tongues, though hopefully they will get the joke as the locals resemble the country folk of rural England, as the Pennish are a jab at the Pennes region of England. I assume future demons, like the demon dryad, will use other languages. That does imply there are demonic nations in the Underworld. Editing slipped a bit in book 2. Hopefully, the growing sarcasm in this second series entry won't become an issue for the MC or the author.

Great fun read. Simple fun, he wins over the girls by putting his heart and skills on the line. End of each story sees the next one come. Slowly improving his house/home at the same time. I think he will buy the restaurant to keep the chef happy.

Great fun read!

Read both books in the series. It was very enjoyable. Demon hunter retires and ends up living with 2 demons and the fun begins. Hoping there is more to this series
