How to Be Human presents 12 truths to build your life upon. Edited by Andrew Wilson, this outstanding book takes readers on a journey through the opening chapters of Genesis to give foundational truths of the Christian faith.

Rather than beginning with ourselves – the book begins with God, showing how the God of eternity invites you to know him. I was most encouraged by the straightforward chapters on what it means to be male and female, with later chapters focusing on marriage and sexuality.

A Timely Guide

I was most moved to read on work, suffering, and shame – chapters that do not attempt to sugarcoat the world but address it straight on with wisdom from the word of God. The book ends by looking at Christian hope, showcasing how no matter what, things are going to get better.

An apologetic book that is perfect for young minds, this timely guide is a helpful resource for pastors, parents, and teens. It will take your students to the truths of Scripture, letting them stand on the solid rock of Christ.

I received a media copy of How to Be Human and this is my honest review. @diveindigdeep

How to Be Human is a fantastic resource that explores fundamental questions about life, faith, and identity for older teens and young adults.

What I absolutely loved about this book is its blend of accessibility and depth. It’s practical yet rich in scripture, grounding its discussions in the first three chapters of Genesis and addressing crucial questions about God, our identities, and the world around us through a Biblical lens.

As teens prepare for the school year and university life is on the horizon, this book serves as a fantastic guide to tackle the pressing questions of our culture regarding humanity, morality, and suffering. It’s a perfect tool to help anchor teens and young adults in Biblical truth as they move through society!

“There has never been a more important time for us to know how to be human.”

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. My review reflects my honest opinion.

This is an excellent book that is geared for teens and young adult. Andrew Wilson with 11 other writers is like "Avengers assemble" level for this kind of book that tackles marriage, sex, shame, guilt, sin and much more. Rather than selected Scriptures to deliver each topic, they focus on Genesis 1-3 which at first might be an odd choice to find biblical answers for todays most prevalent questions. And Oh, I'm glad they did use the first 3 chapters of Genesis. Those chapter's prove enough "how to be human". The book is very accessible with short chapters. I know some books that can dive more on the subjects of each chapter but consider this book not just for accessibility but a starting point if the readers want more of the topics. The book is perfect for seekers, new believers and seasoned one who wants some refresher of a sort. I highly recommend this book!
