Silver Foxed gave me a taste of the writing style of KB and now a am hooked.
Auden is the CFO of her family's shipbuilding business. She thrives on order, spreadsheets, color coded tabs and a very strict dating policy that does not include playboys or disorder!
Wesley Reid has a job to do and building ships is his forte. He has danced around Auden for years, but deep down does he find her interesting, beautiful, brilliant and oh so frustrating ....YES to all of those.
Wesley Reid has been the ban of her existence since her brother brought him on has Director of Operations in the warehouse many years ago. He is great at his job but loves to run his mouth, challenge Auden at every turn and their boardroom verbal banter is legendary!
One night after Auden's brother's wedding and a severe lapse in judgement and this couple finds themselves in quite the interesting pickle!
I loved this quirky couple. Who knew that Wes and his tough exterior had the gentle hands and words to keep Auden cool when she became flustered. The new twist that is now their life is an unexpected journey with a man that has been right in front of her the entire time but what she truly seeing him!! So many levels and layers to this couple and I enjoyed watching them reveal each one!!

Silver Foxed (Bay Breeze Book 3) by KB Cinder. Another treat from an amazingly talented author. She has a real gift for creating fun stories with relatable characters filled with emotion, quirks, and genuine feel-good romance. Auden is careful, predictable, smart, and standoffish. Wes is more carefree and tends to let things roll off instead of getting worked up. They are seen as complete opposites. They bicker and argue at every chance, but when the stars aligned- chemistry won and they shared an amazing steamy night. Now the unexpected happens in the most beautiful way and lives are changed forever. I liked how everyone stepped up and wanted to help and support on this journey. I enjoyed this story and would recommend the story, this series, and author to others.

I think the cover and title of this book are doing it a disservice. With both, it seems that you’re getting a pretty typical work-place age-gap romance where the crux of the plot is the age difference and/or the relationship the mmc has with an older male in the fmc’s life. Rather, Auden and Wes are a few years apart (Auden in her late 30s, Wes in his early 40s) and are very much adults who have much more going on in their lives than an age-gap relationship, which is what the book actually focuses on and does well. I worry that the cover and title pigeonhole this delightfully surprising book and because of this, is being passed over by readers.

A sweet, funny and thoughtful romance, involving someone she apparently despises; her brother’s best friend.
Auden and Wes are both more than meets the eye, their characters both developing greatly throughout this story.
I’m not usually one for a surprise pregnancy, but this book makes it worth reading about.

Very well written but not really my style. I had trouble staying engaged.
