I loved all of the unique things about this book!

Sloane is a strong, fierce female who accidently came up with a massively successful dating show - The Good Boy Games - after having one too many crappy dates. She is FIRE!

What she wasn't expecting was Rhys - one of the contestants on this round of The Good Boy Games. He is defiant, bold, and almost a little bit rude. He is ICE!

Throughout this slow burn romance, Rhys learns to tame Sloane's fire. And Sloane learns how to thaw some of his ice. He became her "good boy". I know that any romance reader will love this one as much as I did. Looking forward to Book 2!!

DNF @ 54%.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t even close to being as entertaining as I thought it would be. There were A LOT of internal thoughts vs. showing what’s actually happening on the dating show. Pages and pages and pages of internal thoughts from both Sloane and Rhys. Also needed better transitions between scenes and could use a thorough edit.

This was a really charming and wonderful book. Sloane is tired of men who don’t listen, men who don’t try. She rage tweets and next thing she knows she’s playing “The Queen” on a reality dating show and there are ten men vying to be her “Good Boy.”

Rhys’s brother signed him up for a dating show as a joke. Rhys figures he’ll hang around a few days, prove the show is fake, and leave. That is until he meets Sloane and suddenly his entire world seems to have tilted.

I’m not a fan of reality tv, so I was a bit hesitant to pick this one up, but I really enjoyed the author’s writing style and the story grabbed me and held on. I was particularly impressed with the way the author wrote from Rhys’s point of view. He’s an architect, so the author had him seeing and thinking through an architectural lens. It made the character seem even more alive.

And I was equally impressed with the way Rhys behaved in the story. He wasn’t some alpha guy, but rather a man who had been living with a lot of trauma thanks to his dad. And his willingness to be open and to listen was one of the sexiest parts of him. (The growly voice and wicked forearms helped, too.)

Sloane was a character that I think a lot of women can relate to. She’s always been told she’s too much, and she’s tired of settling for less than she deserves. She was strong and in control, but still with insecurities, and she was willing to fight for what she wanted.

I thought the author did a great job of bringing the story and the characters to life. While there is a bit of spice, Sloane and Rhys really work for it. And the ultimate payoff, their HEA, is worth it, with two people who truly see one another and love the person they see.

I also liked that the author gave us a glimpse of life for the couple after the cameras stopped filming. And it seems the author is setting up for a sequel, this time featuring the absolutely adorable Mason, who so deserves his own HEA. (And maybe a warning label. The poor guy is a bit of a klutz.) I’m looking forward to reading his book and definitely recommend this one.

I’m not usually a reality TV fan, and The Bachelor is definitely not my thing—but I would 100% watch The Good Boy Games. I loved Sloane as the FMC, and Rhys is the perfect match for her because he truly sees who she is. Their emotional journey keeps you invested, and watching Rhys—who starts off guarded—slowly open up to both Sloane and the reader is incredibly rewarding.
The author does a beautiful job developing their connection, and the supporting cast adds depth and humor—especially Mason, who is impossible not to love. I’m already confident his story will be just as good.
An unexpected 5‑star read for me.

This is Book 1 of Enemies-to-loverss series. And a FANrastic start it is! Look forward to more from this world.

'TROPES: Enemies-to-lovers. He falls first (and hardest). Grumpy × sunshine. Praise kink. Reality TV romance. Forced proximity. Obsessed hero who kneels but never begs.'

The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

Good Boy is an emotionally poetic book. Chapter after chapter talking about their childhoods and the resulting traumas. I did enjoy seeing Rhys and Sloane's perspective so deconstructed. It felt as if we took more time on Rhys' perspective and fear of intimacy than what Sloane was going through.

That being said, almost the whole book is about their emotions and their relationship. There are few scenes actually showing the dating show. I was disappointed that the show was almost entirely in the background.

This is a sweet and entertaining story. Sloane, our FMC, is sick of dating men who don't listen or try for her - and a tweet about her frustration accidentally turns into a reality dating show.

Her MMC, Rhys, is interesting - he's a bit brooding, but in an interesting way, and his ability to actually listen to Sloane and care about her is his winning quality.

The story is a unique premise and well written. Slow burn but entertaining throughout.

I swear she’s allergic to shellfish?? But she liked the lobster dish a contestant made? Maybe it’s me, but there were a few continuity issues combined with a lot of repetition that I just couldn’t get past.

Not quite a DNF, definitely became a skim to the end.
