Billionaire Romance: The Clean Contract

Rate this book
A billionaire who built an empire to prove his worth.
A PR consultant desperate to save her sister.
A marriage contract that wasn't supposed to include falling in love.

Grant Blackridge has everything except the one thing investors demand: personal stability. When a scandal threatens his $2 billion acquisition, he makes a calculated decision, hire a wife.

Elise Ward is a brilliant reputation management consultant facing an impossible choice: watch her sister's illness consume their savings, or accept six months of marriage to a man she barely knows for $800,000.

The contract is clear: separate bedrooms, no emotional entanglement, part ways after six months. It's a transaction, nothing more.

But living together changes everything.

Morning coffee becomes conversation. Professional distance becomes genuine partnership. And somewhere between the carefully maintained boundaries and the moments they forget to perform, Grant and Elise discover that the most dangerous clause in their contract is the one prohibiting what they're already feeling.

When an investigative journalist exposes their arrangement, Grant faces an impossible choice: lie to save his empire, or tell the truth and risk losing everything he's built.

Elise believes she's destroying his life by staying. Grant knows he can't survive without her.

One contract. Six months. And a love that was never supposed to be real.

The Clean Contract is a closed-door contemporary romance featuring a marriage of convenience, forced proximity, emotional slow burn, and a billionaire who learns that vulnerability is the ultimate power move. Perfect for readers who love intense emotional connection without explicit content.

This book started out ok, a Billionaire CEO proposing a contract marriage to save his image. He decided the Crisis manager that comes to help him is his pick for his wife. From there this book went back and forth at holding my attention. The woman, Elise has problems with panic attacks and leaving when she feels that the relationship is too intense. The CEO is steady in his reasoning but the woman bothered me with all her demands. She has done everything alone and has a hard time accepting help. So she is always looking for reasons to be mad at her husband. This book is predictable in that the marriage contract is found out by the media and they have to come out clean. It causes havoc all the way around. I wouldn’t recommend this book. I almost quit reading it.

I really enjoyed this clean billionaire romance! It proves you don’t need explicit scenes to tell a heartfelt and engaging love story. The contract marriage premise was well done, and I loved watching the relationship develop from a simple agreement into something built on trust, respect, and genuine affection.

The characters were easy to connect with, and their emotional growth felt authentic. There were plenty of sweet moments, a little drama to keep things interesting, and a satisfying slow-burn romance that had me cheering for them from beginning to end.

If you’re looking for a wholesome billionaire romance with memorable characters, emotional depth, and a well-earned happily-ever-after, this is definitely one to pick up. I’ll be looking for more books by this author.
