Four stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The cover of this book is absolutely stunning and immediately caught my attention — it’s beautiful and I think we’ll draw readers in immediately. Big ups to the illustrator, it does a great job of setting the tone for the book even before you open it
But the dedication is what really made me laugh. It’s “For all the girls who wished Elena picked Stefan” … and as a lifelong Damon girl, I was immediately nervous about where this story might take me 😂😂😂
That being said, this story hooked me fast . Once the main event that kicks everything off happened, I couldn’t stop reading. I ended up flying through 80 pages in one night because the pacing kept the momentum going and I just had to know what happened next
One of my favorite aspects of the book is the love triangle. It’s done so well. In a lot of romance stories, it can feel forced or uncomfortable knowing that inevitably someone is going to get their heart shattered needlessly. But here, the emotions felt real and believable. Nothing felt like insta-love, and the characters genuinely struggled with feelings in a way that felt authentic and relatable
The story feels like several different stories woven together, but in a good way. Jessi blends drama, fantasy elements, and an interesting magic system into something that feels fresh. Add in a cast of villains you absolutely love to hate, and it made the stakes even more fun to follow
Two quotes really stood out to me:
❤️🔥 “You’re my future. My forever. My always. No woman can compare to you. No one ever will. I will always want you.” (I love the deepness and severity of this character’s love. And just the descriptions of feelings in general between the characters, was just really beautiful)
❤️🩹 “Sometimes change can feel like pain before it feels like growth.” (This one especially hit home for me and felt like something I truly needed to read at this moment in my life as I deal with growth, change, and healing)
Overall, this was a fast-paced and engaging fantasy with strong emotional moments and characters that kept me invested. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what Jessi writes next!

I absolutely loved this book! The tension in it was great and the plot was easy to follow up but also super interesting. She made her fantasy world very accessible to her readers and kept it fast paced. I will definitely be reading from this author in the future.

I went into Swapped Fates not expecting to love it this much… especially because I’m usually not a love triangle reader. But this story completely changed my mind.
What made it work so well is that the romance never felt forced or shallow, it was deeply tied to duty, identity, and destiny. The emotional stakes felt real, and every choice the heroine faced actually mattered. Instead of just asking “who will she choose,” the story made me wonder who she truly is and what kind of future she deserves.
The world-building was immersive without being overwhelming, and the magical royal atmosphere had this soft yet powerful pull that kept me turning pages. I also loved how the tension between loyalty, fate, and personal desire was handled, it felt mature, emotional, and layered rather than overly dramatic.
Even as someone who avoids love triangles, I found myself genuinely invested in both dynamics because each relationship represented something different: safety vs risk, duty vs heart, destiny vs choice. That emotional complexity is what made this story stand out for me.
Overall, this was such an engaging romantasy read with beautiful tension, compelling character growth, and a story that quietly hooks you until you’re completely invested. I finished it feeling satisfied, emotional, and honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed a trope I usually avoid.
If you love romantasy with royal stakes, inner conflict, and meaningful romance that actually serves the plot, this one is absolutely worth reading.

I think this book has a lot of potential to be a great fantasy book! I easily could picture the world but some of the she instantly knew how to use her powers was a little far fetched for me.
I still wanted to see what happened while reading & was rooting for Soren the whole time!

After reconciling with her betrothed, Alexis becomes suspicious as her father, the King, can’t relax after the statue in their garden has disappeared, but the show must go on and at her fathers orders nothing is to disrupt the wedding.
What was once a calm and quiet life, ready to marry her childhood best friend where her only issue was her curiosity and interest for his older brother, Soren.

After a deadly battle filled with corrupt creatures and a betrayal that cuts deep, Alexis becomes what she was always meant to be. A beautiful fae Queen, who rules with love and kindness, who cares about her people enough to fight and die for them!

Holy shit, this book had to be laced with some kind of drug because I couldn’t put it down, even on my work days! I couldn’t stop reading!
Jessi Ferguson, you were not fucking around when writing this. The plot kept me engaged, I loved Alexis and how she was scared but wouldn’t back down and kept fighting. So beautifully written and the attention to detail were immaculate. The descriptions of the forests, the clothes, the food, it made me feel like I was there!
I usually don’t like love triangles because there’s always the obvious right choice, and there was an obvious choice in this. In fact, Derek and Soren reminded me of Conrad and Jeremiah from TSITP. If you read it, you know what I mean haha.
Also, Soren. “Derek has a habit of taking what’s mine.” Excuse me sir?! I do not need another fictional crush please.🥵
The only reason this isn’t a 5-star rating for me was because I wish the bonds with some of the characters were developed a little more. I was sad at the deaths of some of the characters but I feel like I didn’t know them well enough. Also, I felt like some of the characters who did the wrong things were forgiven to quickly. They should have more of a redemption arc before being forgiven.
Overall, an AMAZING fantasy that I couldn’t stop reading and had to stop myself so I could actually sleep. Thank you Jessi Ferguson for contacting me about your amazing novel!💖

When I was a kid I had trouble liking princesses I wanted a princess that was strong and a warrior. who had fears but never let them get in the way. Who didn't need a man to save her. Princess Alexis is the princess I used to wish for. She's strong and fierce. She's passionate and kind. She's scared and openly admits that, but she overcomes her fear always. She has men near her but don't let that fool you she'd fight for them before she ever let them fight for her. She's brave and independent. I want a movie based on her because I know I'd love it. As for the love interest I side eyed Derick sorry I'm mean I didn't like him from the start 🤣 I felt like Alexis deserved better and better she found in Soren. I was obsessed with watching their two characters together. Their jokes, and protectiveness was amazing. I'm so happy to have this book recommended to me by the author and even more glad I got to read it. I really recommend this and think everyone should pick it up!

A magical struggle between light fae and dark fae. Without knowing, Alexis has free the dark fae queen and now has to find a way to fight the dark forces while still grieving and handle being alone in the world. If that is not enough, her heart is divided between two brothers as well, and her actions have consequences.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because there were quite a few misspellings and missing words that should have been noticed before release. But otherwise this is a really intriguing, heart breaking, anxious story about a new world, fae and magic. The description of environment and characters are really good, and the story is easy to read. There were never a dull moment in the book, and the ending? Jesus christ 💔❤️!
