He developed Psychomagic, a combination of psychotherapy and shamanic magic. His fans have included John Lennon and Marilyn Manson.

Una vez más, me quedé con más preguntas que respuestas, si bien se cierra un círculo, quedan bastantes cabos sueltos. El final tiene una nota de esperanza, y demuestra que hasta los seres más heridos tiene su lado humano y amable.

Kinda rushed ending, but at the same time it works well with the evolution of the series, with a modernist undertone.

Wir haben die schrecklich nette Méta-Baron-Familie bereits über 3 Generationen hinweg verfolgt und sind nun bei ihm angekommen, dem letzten der Méta-Barone, dem ultimativen Krieger, der Armee in einer Person, dem Gott des Krieges. Er ist namenlos, und der Schrecken des Universums. Kein Wunder, dass John Difool in The Incal vor Angst zittert, wenn er von diesem gefährlichsten aller Söldner gejagt wird. Doch ein letzter Kampf steht selbst diesem furchtlosen Kämpfer bevor, denn der Bushitaka, der Kodex der Métabarone, verlangt nach Vatermord, und aus einer etwas unerwarteten Nische tritt der totgeglaubte Tête d'Acier wieder hervor, um seinen Sohn daran zu erinnern...

Ein bombastischer Abschluss einer Serie, die an Epik und Melodrama nicht geizt, diese mit viel Opulenz und Dekadenz dekoriert und in ihrer Gesamtheit noch etwas an Wucht gewinnt.

Ядерный накал первобытных гормонов выдерживается на протяжении всей серии, от начала до конца. Тяжёлый рубильник, регулирующий всё на свете - и жизненные принципы, и отношения, и любовь, и ненависть, и все поступки и мысли - имеет лишь два положения: скорость света и полный ноль. Среднего не дано, авторы строго следят за тем, чтобы ни на ноготь не выйти за рамки мировоззрения тринадцатилетнего. Романтизм, возведённый в абсолютный монолит под марш Заратустры.

В качестве бонуса Ходоровски последовательно, снова и снова, с самых разных сторон обсасывает свою излюбленную тему гермафродитизма, которая окрашивает махровый мачизм в необычно сюрреалистичные цвета. Перманентный мазохизм и отцеубийства - вишенки на мясном торте, бессмысленном и беспощадном.

Finisce come deve finire. Non spoilerizzo, ma Jodorowsky finisce e spiega tutto nelle ultime pagine. Ancora una volta molte trovate che risolvono la situazione, ma dopotutto è fantascienza, e non deve necessariamente tornare tutto alla prima, o stupire che vengano effettuate certe trovate. Complessivamente un’eccellente serie, e non deve stupire dato che a scriv3re c’è colui che ha creato l’Incal. Anche i disegni di Jimenez rimangono di un valore altissimo, se possibile migliorando di puntata in puntata.

E no twist final da contagem da história pelo robot Tonto ao robot Lothar, vem-se a descobrir que lothar é afinal o cabeça de aço que sem nome acabou por fritar os circuitos após ter morto o seu pai em combate de metabarões. Confuso, como é suposto ficar. Em resumo cabeça de aço salva a galáxia uma última vez de uma ameaça indescritível e sem nome conhece a piedade de salvar uma vida e a presença espiritual no seu coração informa-o que o seu destino é destruir a podridão do universo para libertar todas as galáxias

Excellent art super unique story

Reminds me of some of the better illustrated stories from Heavy Metal - the intergenerational nature of the narrative is a bit reminiscent of Matt Wagner's Grendel stuff (grendel is closer to a masterpiece of course imo). Not same old Super hero stuff. The weaker aspects of the story are largely made up for by the art.

Overall a fitting end to the saga if not a satisfying conclusion to the story (as it continues apparently in another sort of content) full of wonderful drawings and twisted imaginary. Overall the Metabarons Cast is a fun, engaging, grimdark tale with the Jodorowsky spin that's definitely camp and definitely worth reading.

Si conclude con l'attuale meta-barone, Senza Nome, l'arma definitiva, la terribile e nobile casta. Questo numero, anche se pieno di colpi di scena, risulta meno "sensato" dei precedenti. Il finale della serie, per quanto epico, lascia l'amaro in bocca per la sua repentina conclusione.

Amazing art, clunky and robotic dialogue, which is the same for all these, maybe it suffers in translations idk. The art carries this a lot, like easily 90% of the work is done by the drawing. You could erase half the dialogue and not lose really anything.

This is the eighth and final part in the sci-fi story of the ultimate warrior clan the Metabarons, by Chilean scriptwriter Alejandro Jodorowsky and Argentinian artist Juan Giménez. Jodorowsky has written an epic story in style and scale on par with the stories from ancient Greece, about a warrior clan that begets better and better killing machines for each and every new generation. Giménez draws all of this in a surprisingly realistic style that is able to do the most incredible creatures and worlds visually probable.

In this, the final part Jodorowsky reveals the pacifist/fascist (based on your reading of it...) intent of this escalation in killing power, when the last of the dynasty of Metabarons realize why he has been created. A fitting and rather satisfactory end to the entire series.

dans ce dernier tome de la caste des méta-barons, clairement, le meilleur morceau, c'est la couverture. Le reste ressasse ad nauseam les thèmes précédement évoqués en y ajoutant un retournement de situation aussi inutile que stupide : le gros robot Lothar qui se révèle être Tête-d'Acier est totallement inutile. J'aurais largement préféré voir les auteurs tenter de raccrocher cette histoire à l'Incal, en nous montrant par exemple l'éducation de guerrier de Solune.

Una epopeya galáctica. Desde el primer momento me pareció que era una especie de biblia friki, y no me equivocaba. La labor imaginativa de Jodorowski es impresionante y las ilustraciones son impecables. Eso sí, y esto no tiene por qué ser malo, no vais a encontrar nada más friki en todo el planeta XDDD
