4 AM Bus Stop by Prajwal Gulhane is a debut novel about love, timing, and life. It is a story of a decade and an “almost” love. The story of Aarav and Nidhi feels very real, not like fiction. It shows how love can begin from one-sided feelings, slowly grow into a relationship, and then face the reality of life.

As time passes, life changes and priorities also change. This is something many of us can relate to. Their moments at the 4 AM bus stop are emotional and meaningful, filled with dreams, hopes, and difficult choices.
The story travels from Nagpur to Hyderabad, then to Pune and Bangalore, showing different phases of their lives and growth.

It is not just a love story. The book also shows Aarav’s journey and growth. From a 10th standard student, he becomes an independent person who learns to build a life for himself and not just for someone else. The story also talks about college life, corporate life, friendships, family, and relationships in a very natural way.

The ending is emotional and not what I expected. It stayed with me even after I finished the book.
It is a heartfelt and relatable story about love, growth, and the kind of relationships that change you forever 🥹💔

If you want to read a beautiful story full of “almost” and “what ifs,” or if you are going through something similar, you should definitely read this book.

There are some stories that begin softly, almost innocently, and before you realize it, they leave you with a heaviness you can’t quite explain. 4 AM Bus Stop carries that exact feeling, especially through Aarav and Nidhi’s journey.

Aarav’s love for Nidhi starts back in class 10, in the purest and quietest way. It’s not something he confesses or even fully understands at first, it’s something he carries within him for years. The fact that he keeps a simple ruler she once gave him says everything about the depth of his emotions. For him, she was never just a passing crush; she was constant, almost like a part of his identity.

For nearly ten years, Aarav lives with this one-sided love, shaping himself, his dreams, and his sense of purpose around Nidhi. And when he finally confesses, the moment feels like a reward for all those years of silent waiting, especially when he discovers that Nidhi loves him too. It feels complete, like everything has finally fallen into place.

But what follows is not the kind of love story one expects.

As their relationship grows, Aarav slowly begins to lose himself in it. His world starts shrinking—friends fade away, priorities shift, and his entire focus turns into holding on to Nidhi. He keeps building himself, not for his own growth, but to be enough for her. There’s a quiet imbalance that develops, where love starts feeling more like dependence than companionship.

And when things begin to fall apart, it doesn’t feel dramatic, it feels painfully real. After investing a decade of emotions into one person, the separation doesn’t just hurt; it leaves a void. Aarav isn’t just losing Nidhi—he’s losing the version of himself he built around her.

What makes this story hit hard is how relatable it feels. It shows how easy it is to give someone so much importance that you forget your own existence in the process.

4 AM Bus Stop isn’t just about love, it’s about what happens when love becomes your entire world, and what remains when that world quietly slips away.

Have you ever woken up from a beautiful dream, wishing it hadn’t ended? Or walked along a quiet, scenic path and hoped it would stretch on just a little longer? That soft, lingering feeling of wanting to hold on. That’s exactly what 4 AM Bus Stop by Prajwal Gulhane left me with.

This novel follows Aarav’s journey, from a tenth-grade boy full of dreams to an adult who evolves through the many highs and lows of life. Over the years, as circumstances change and challenges test him, one thing remains constant: his love for Nidhi. She becomes his anchor in a world that often feels uncertain and overwhelming.

Told through Aarav’s first-person perspective, the story feels deeply intimate and relatable, especially for young adults navigating the complexities of ambition, relationships, and self-discovery. The narrative captures the delicate balance between chasing dreams, meeting expectations, and holding on to love.

The poetic prose and emotional depth make this book quietly powerful and, at times, beautifully heartbreaking. For me, this was not just a love story; it was also a story of growth and resilience. Despite setbacks and moments of confusion, Aarav continues to move forward, learning, adapting, and striving to find his place in the world.

One of the most memorable aspects of the book is Aarav’s relationship with his father. His father is portrayed as a steady and supportive presence, someone who not only encourages Aarav to pursue his dreams but also reassures him that it’s okay to pause, to rest, and to return home when needed. Their bond adds warmth and emotional depth to the narrative, grounding the story in a sense of comfort and belonging.

Overall, 4 AM Bus Stop is an emotional and reflective read that stays with you even after you’ve turned the last page. If you enjoy soft, heartfelt love stories that also explore personal growth and the journey of becoming, this book is definitely worth adding to your TBR
