Fácilmente mi libro favorito de la saga, uno ve cómo la ambición de los antepasados se aprovecha del dolor y sufrimiento de un niño idealista que sólo buscaba amor y comprensión en un mundo lleno de podredumbre.

Der König der Weltraumaffen
Aghnar, der Sohn Othons von Salza und der Shabda-Oud-Priesterhure Honorata, ist kein Sun Wukong, obwohl auch er in einer beeindruckenden Szene zu einem Affenkönig wird, denn er hat keinen Humor. Vielleicht ist Humor aber eh etwas, was einem Metabaron schon genetisch abgeht. Und seine Jugend, nicht gerade eine besonders behütete, macht aus ihm dann endgültig eine berechnende Killermaschine, etwas, worauf man in dieser Familie durchaus stolz ist.
Wer immer schon mal einen Familienroman in opulenter Barock-SciFi erleben wollte, sollte hier zugreifen. Giménez bringt gleichzeitig die moralisch-emotionale Eiseskälte dieser Welt wie auch die diese Kälte durchbrechenden Gefühlsexplosionen der Protagonisten perfekt in Bildern rüber - und durch diesen Unterschied kann man mit den Personen mitfühlen, die ansonst so liebenswert ja nicht sind. Und ähnlich wie Honorata ist auch Oda, deren Freiung so romantisch wie seltsam ist, sehr sehenswert, obwohl sie deutlich aus einer anderen Zeit stammt, in der nicht der anorexische Hungerhaken als Schönheitsideal diente.
Und je mehr ich von dieser Reihe lese, desto mehr wachsen mir auch die beiden Roboter Tonto und Lothar, die als Erzähler dieser traurigen Familiengeschichte fungieren, ans Herz. Vielleicht spende ich mal ein paar Ersatzdioden und einen neuen Biofilter für Lothar.

O filho de honorata e Othon, Agnar, vai continuar nesta história a linhagem dos metabarões pois terá de vingar a morte da mãe Honorata por ela ter traído a ordem das feiticeiras shabda-oud e de ser agora o maior guerreiro após ter que ter provado ao seu pai Othon, que tinha sido envenenado ao destruir um ceticiborgue, que o conseguia vencer em combate e jurado vingança sobre as feiticeiras . Agnar vai parar a um planeta estranho onde ganha soberania sobre uma tribo de macacos flutuantes, prometendo como seu novo líder levá-los para um novo planeta, mas o seu objetivo é apenas capturar um dos cetaciborgues para ficar com a princesa Oda, que será a sua mulher e que ele usará para tentar a vingança da sua mãe , aniquilando as feiticeiras.

Love and duty
This volume had everything you want in a space opera: romance, action, adventure, intrigue, and an array of compelling but also morally ambiguous crazy characters. Aghnar's journey is reminiscent of the hero's journey which Joseph Campbell explains in great detail in "The Power Myth". He is an unacknowledged messiah. His mother's love led to a miraculous conception that placed him at great peril. Like in popular myths, he preserves but unlike in most of the sugar-coated versions of these tales, he's deeply flawed. His youth coupled with his background and Harrah trials, have made him a hothead and a hopeless romantic. You don't have to read the next issue to know reality is about to crash his party.
The recurrent theme of love vs duty its what made this part of the story more interesting. As it progresses, the story is starting to feel more like its own thing t rather than a blend of various classical myths and sci-fi tales.

Continuamos con la historia de este gran linaje de guerreros, ahora viendo la conclusión de la historia de Othon y Honorata, el desafio sobre las monjas-putas, como la nace la tradición de sucesión en esta familia y el ascenso de Aghnar

what if the Princess Bride, the Bene Gesserit, and Hamlet had an affair involving whatever drugs Jodorowsky consumed, and were painted by 1990's ultra violent French sci-fi comic book edginess? this tome would be the end result.

Tercer tomo leído al hilo y tercer tomo en ganarse cuatro estrellitas. El último tomo de la saga que mantiene personajes del primero, creo, va agregando de a poquito más antepasados al árbol de Sin Nombre y más vueltas de tuerca (o al menos algún que otro volantazo) al árbol genealógico de los Metabarones. Tan cebado quedé con esta saga que anoche soñé una historia larga de lo más "metabaronizable", aunque transcurriera en el presente y en una ciudad argentina fusionada. Lástima que es el último tomo de corrido que conseguí en papel, así que tendré que hacer trampa para el #4, y volver a leerlo posta en el #5. No sé si lo podré leer rápido pero espero que sí, porque la guerra contra las "monjas-putas" prometía mucho, y ya me estoy acostumbrando a las acotaciones boludotas de los dos robotitos pavotes. Mientras no terminen siendo mis personajes favoritos, tampoco creo que sea tan grave. Mi voto de confianza a los implacables Jodo-Jime ya es absoluto.

Encore un tome mettant en scène des vengeances incroyablement tordues.
Encore un tome dessiné avec toute la rondeur de Gimenez. Et c'est très beau.
Il y a toutefois un côté très sombre dans ce récit, lorsque le jeune Aghnar choisit de sacrifier toute une population primitive de "gentils" extra-terrestres en les donnant à manger à l'animal spatial servant de monture aux féroces "prétresses-putains" qui ne doivent bien sûr rien au Bene Gesserit ... Enfin, si vous y croyez, je suis le pape.
Heureusement, en fait, que je ne lis pas ces oeuvres pour le scénario, sinon je serais assez fâché.
En revanche, les femmes ont des rondeurs que, personnellement, je trouve d'un érotisme absolument torride.
