PURSUIT - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Jodie Burnett's PURSUIT has a thrilling, (and at times spine-chilling) action-packed storyline, as a rogue ex-Army Ranger wanted for treason is hunted by US Marshal, Dirk Stirling.
The contrast between the two men is well-written and fully-engaging, as are the storylines and the realistic characters.
Back at home Chief Emory Grey, (Dirk's fiancée) their three adopted kids, and Deputy Hank with his complicated family life, all face danger when those behind the plot are revealed.

The 'cherry on the cake' for me was Dirk and Emory's HEA, which made me quite emotional. Enjoy PURSUIT for yourself - and tell all your friends to get it too!

ARC review. Pursuit by Jodi Burnett is book five in her Marshal Dirk Sterling series. Pursuit is the perfect title for this book as it is action packed with pursuit coming from all sides. It continues the storyline from the previous book as Emory and Dirk plan their wedding as they’ve formed a family unit with Kendall, Jack and Joey, their fosters, to keep them safe and from being separated in the system. Are the kids still being pursued as Dirk leaves in pursuit of Ian, a former Delta operative with a dishonorable discharge looking to sell US secrets. Will Dirk get his man? Will he make it back in time for his wedding? Will Emory and the kids be safe? It’s a fast paced emotional read as Pursuit races toward the end. Is this the last book in the series? The discussion about Caitlyn and Renegade coming to work with Dirk and Emory gives me home that my favorite characters are not finished fighting the bad guys. This is a must read book!

A brilliant tense and action packed story following Deputy U.S. Marshal Dirk Sterling as he sent to track down a former army ranger called Ian McCallum who was arrested for trying to sell classified military secrets. Ian manages to escape the FBI and is in the wilderness of Montana.

His fiancé Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Emory Grey is at the office in Billings running the operation as well as looking after their adopted family. When Emory starts to investigate who Ian is planning to sell the secrets too their family become a target and Dirk has to decide to find Ian or return back home to help his family.

I would highly recommend for a action story.

Kirk is left up to his own resources when he is sequestered to be on a joint action team to find a traitor in the wilds of the mountain. His usual back-up team are not invited nor can they help from a distance and his assigned partner is pulled at the last minute. His, Dirk's, best skills are now put to test, alone in the wilderness, against a man with the sameskill sets he was trained with.
Kirk has a short timetable. His pending wedding, the mountain, the weather, the Canadian border, and his potentially life threatening injuries.
Life back at home, unbeknownst to him, are almost as bad as all hands are on deck caught up in their own life threatening dangers too.

Picking up right where the last book left off, Pursuit by Jodi Burnett is action packed and loaded with mystery and intrigue. The characters are as always well written with depth and are engaging. The chemistry between the two MC's adds a bit of steam to the story. The brilliance of Jodi. Buffett's world building weaves and blends itself beautifully and vividly throughout the story keeping the reader captivated and turning the pages to see what happens next. I absolutely highly recommend this book!

Another 5 star read for me! Jodi Burnett delivers another fast-paced, suspenseful, and hard to put down book. The stakes felt higher in this book as there was trouble brewing on two fronts. I really love this series, and I think this one is my favorite yet. This can be read as a standalone, however, I highly recommend you read the whole series.
