I call these books “doctor’s office waiting room” books because they are perfect when you just need a book that’s quick, and has a guaranteed HEA. This one also has a little spice, so a win/win.

This is the second book in the series. It follows a group of siblings who had a fortune teller at their mom’s valentines party. The “Cupid” has been pretty accurate on her predictions.

There is no OM/OW drama.
The only drama is H/h’s own internal POVs.

This is a perfect series if you’re looking for something short with a feel-good vibe with some spice.

For a short book, this was a slow burn. They didn't jump right into bed or a relationship which I enjoyed. Both of them as so focused on work, and being the top that they never made time for relationships so when they find each other - it is apparent they are very alike, and respect that of each other.

BUT the cover Art for this is all wrong. Sloane literally wear corporate wear the entire book. No idea why they put her in Uggs and a slouchy sweater on the cover. All wrong.

So cute! I love how Sloan was strong and brilliant at what she does without it taking away from her soft or vulnerable side. A lot of times the FMC is annoyingly stubborn to where the story line becomes repetitive, but Sloan’s character had a good balance during her struggle. And Alex was so good for her. I’m a big fan of this shorter, quick-read series.
