Beth Campbell grew up poor. The kind of poor that people only hear of but never actually see—the dirty-no-electricity-in-the-winter kind of poor. But she had brains, grit, and determination. She was making a better life for herself, until she met a man—and made a mistake. Now at age twenty-five she’s a single mother working hard once again, making a better life for herself and her three-year-old daughter, Zoe. She’s learned from her mistakes and is focusing on the right things. No more wishful dreams for her. Dr. Mac Malone was minding his own business on his daily run when he heard a child’s scream. Before he knew it, he was Zoe Campbell’s savior. Falling in love with the little girl was easy. Convincing her mother he really was a good guy was something altogether different. Can he help Beth learn to trust again?
Each book can be read as a stand alone or in order of the series. Mature content, not intended for under 18 years of age.
This was the best book in the series so far. Mac and Beth are soulmates, she just doesn't know it yet. They met when her daughter Zoe was hurt on the playground. Mac helps out and becomes her pediatrician. Things progress but Beth doesn't think she deserves to be happy. Then, just as things are going smoothly, heyday tests it's ugly head. A good romance. Every girl deserves to be happy.
4.5 stars. Very sweet H. Independent h with a cute 3 year old daughter. This is book 3 in the Road Series. I enjoyed it so much that I'm back tracking to book 1 to read more about the other likable secondary characters starring in this story.
This is the 1st book I read by Natalie Ann. I loved ❤ this book's story line. I loved ❤ Beth's character. My heart broke 💔 for Beth. I loved ❤ Mac's character. I loved ❤ Zoey, I thought she was adorable. I didn't like Derek or Mac's mother. I loved ❤ the ending. Awesome job Ms. Ann.
I enjoyed this book, the writing style similar to other books by this author. A lot of remembering/reflecting in the book, sometimes confusing. Dr. Mac fell fast & hard for Beth. Beth was confused & unsure of Mac which was easily understandable based on her past. Sometimes I felt Zoe was too much of a baby, always having to be carried to the potty. Mac's mother stayed true to form from previous book. Mitchell was a blast. I could relate to Beth wanting to keep Zoe's life simple, since she was a single parent. Spoiler: I really thought Beth should have recognized signs of pregnancy before Mac. All in all still a good read. I hope to read about the other characters in their books.
This book didn't disappoint. I've been waiting for Mac's story since the first book. I loved how Natalie Ann brings the characters back and they each play a part in all the stories, yet could be read as a stand alone too. Mac's interactions with 3 yr old Zoe just melt your heart. There is nothing sexy that a man with a child, you could feel the love between them. It was sweet to see Beth get her happy ever after, after all she had been through in her life. I can't wait until Ryan's story comes out.
Dr. Mac, Beth and Zoe are made for each other. Dr. Mac was at the right place and time when little Zoe fell and broke her arm. This chance encounter made it possible for Mac to get to know Beth. Beth hasn't had an easy life and being a single parent she is always weary of letting anyone in, but Mac makes it impossible for her to not to let him in. I love the interactions between Mac and Zoe. Beautiful story.
Loving this series. In this one we meet Mac and Beth. Mac is Brooke's brother. He is a pediatrician. And Beth is a single mother to Zoe. So you can pretty much guess how they meet. Absolutely loved this one. Natalie Ann is becoming one of my favorite author. I absolutely love how she intertwined all these characters.
NICE, HEART WARMING, FEEL GOOD STORY LINE. IT TRULY SHOWCASES HOW TWO PEOPLE FALL IN LOVE, THIS SEEMED REAL, WASN’T AN INSTA-LOVE THING. THEY GO THROUGH THE PROCESS OF GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER. WELL WRITTEN STORY LINE WITH A BACK STORY THAT WAS VERY DEVELOPED BUT NOT OVERLY DONE. I FELL IN LOVE WITH ALL THE CHARACTERS. SIGH! ;D
This was my favorite book of the series so far. There have been teasers about Mac in the first two books, so I was looking forward to his story and was thrilled it was as good as I hoped it would be. Can't wait to read about Ryan's story next.
I absolutely loved this story. The four book series is proving to be very good and this third instalment has actually been my favourite so far. I loved Mac, he was a perfect book boyfriend and Zoe was just the cutest little girl. I am really looking forward to the final book.
So much fun to jump into a book and feel like you are part of the family. Great progression of love story, everyday life and development of characters. Ready to fall into book 4 Road to Reason. These are stand alone books....but you really want to read the series.
When I first met Mac I knew he was going to be a great character. This book was a delight to read, it was sweet, funny and the characters were very well written.
My first book by this author and what a pleasant surprise. I really didn't know what to expect, but I am so happy that I picked it up and read it. Two polar opposites in their backgrounds, Beth and Mac meet when her daughter is involved in a playground accident and Mac is a doctor who just finished with a run. He is a tall, dark and handsome "hottie" pediatrician coming from an affluent background. Beth is a "cosmetologist", a single parent, from a basically "dirt poor" background. Zoe is her 3 year old daughter who is absolutely precious. A very enjoyable read that is definitely steamy, but I just skimmed through those pages. A good story that just pulls you in and a great cast of additional characters. VICKI FROM WYOMING
If dreams could come true. In this book, Beth's dreams did come true. She grew up never ever having much to love about her life. She often dreamed of a Prince Charming coming to rescue her. Now Beth has a three-year-old daughter and is still dreaming. Her daughter, Zoe, is injured and Beth meets her Prince. Dr. Malone is handsome, caring, sexy, and her dream lover in the flesh. You have just got to read Road to Reality by Natalie Ann. It is a beautiful love story.
Single mum, Beth encounters Dr Mac Malone, when her daughter falls off the monkey bars at the local park, injuring her wrist. Attraction flares between the two adults, and the courtship dance that follows. This, the third book of this series is again a wonderful and sensitive take on human encounters and what past histories play in a person's current life and relationships. An excellent read!!
This is a very sweet and romantic book. It is a down to earth story about growing up in bad circumstances and the struggles of trying to make a better life. It's also a type of Cinderella story.
Dr. Mac knew the way to Beth's heart. That was to first capture Zoe's heart, and he does that over and over. Beth has a battle on her hands, because Dr Malone is aiming to win!
Nice story but the word errors are disturbing: the water surrounding Zoe's sand castle is a MOAT, not a mote. Beth is a strong woman, though and Mac deserves a good woman to counteract both their childhoods.
Cute story of finding a home and family, when it all begins with a cute three year old girl. He loves her from the first meeting, the mother took awhile for her to accept him.
This is my second time reading this book. I enjoyed it just as much if not more than the first time because I remembered just enough.
I have loved all of the books in this series thus far but I couldn't wait for Mac's book. Boy, oh boy, was it good and worth it. I absolutely love Mac. I love how he immediately started caring for Beth and of course Zoe. I loved their meeting, how sweet he was from the start. He did everything right and made me swoon. I loved him and Beth together and watching her finally get the happily ever after she deserved. Absolutely amazing book!
This was another great book in the series. While this does not have a cliffhanger it is better if you read the series in order and then each book will make better sense. I will be adding all the books to my read again list.
I really liked this book. This so far is my favorite from this author. It had sad and sweet moments. I loved the characters. I only wish it was longer to read. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
