There isn’t anything really wrong with the book, it’s just not spectacular. It reminds me of several k-dramas I’ve seen. There’s so much stuff happening and some of it is just silly. The wannabe OW, Ava, finally gets shipped off and the baby is of course not Ronan’s, the MMC. Talia has divorced him and this second book is supposed to be them reconnecting. There’s a 100 date thing, but they just end up going to her friend’s wedding and dance. They don’t re-marry.
I thought there was a lot of interesting threads at the end of book 1. But at the end of book 2, there were still several elements left unfinished. In addition, one thing I found impossible to get past is how Talia received a BILLION dollar settlement and is still somehow worried about how much rent costs?
"Spencer, you said not to worry about rent until I've worked for a year, but this place... it has to cost a fortune."
A billion dollars is an insane amount of money. Yet she couldn’t even spare 1 million for her mom’s charity that is falling apart from lack of funding? I really wanted to give a higher rating but just can’t.
MMC Ronan and MFC Talia were in a marriage of convenience and has been 3 years , Talia fell in love with Ronan but he was still hung up on his ex Ava who is pregnant. Ronan puts everything into Ava and nothing into Talia even though she is his legal wife, she thinks Ronan is the father to the child
In the start of this they are divorced and Ronan wants Talia back but she is enjoying her freedom
Well written book. No closures on a lot of subjects and people. How did Talia end up from being born to her adoptive parents?. How did Tessa take the news? What happened to Talia's half sister, Olivia? Could have finished areas of the book a bit better. But overall a good story.
I actually forgot I read the first book of Talia and Ronin so was surprised to see the second book ,I liked that talia was the one in control this time ,she made it big and had Ronin eating out of her hands .It had a little twist with her family which was a good thing for talia and a surprise marriage I didn't see coming
The second book in this series was absolutely fantastic! All the characters were really interesting and believable. The plot was very interesting and held your interest to the very end. I can't wait to read more by this author!
2.5 I think this book could’ve had potential. But the writing was very unsophisticated in high school. It almost read like a soap opera or felt like a short TV reel.
This was the second book (although never even labeled as part 2) and Talia and Ronan are divorced. Too many coincidences that never should have happened and so much unnecessary drama. Ronan's mother should be brought up on criminal charges for what she did to Talia at the very least. Just a lot of craziness that was unnecessary to the story. I give the author props for the look into Hollywood and voice actors and other things, so it wasn't all bad, but unfortunately, wasn't all that great either.
Begin Again (The Final Book) was about 25-year-old Talia Royce Sterling, a voice actor-turned "trophy wife", and 30-year-old Ronan Sterling, the CEO and heir of Sterling Group.
This book began 8 months after Ronan and Talia's divorce had been finalized. Like its predecessor, it was full of angst, drama, the typical emotional rollercoaster with all of its twists and turns, and a ton of secrets waiting to be revealed. While the other woman drama from the first story was rendered obsolete, that didn't stop the author from bringing another other woman wannabe into the mix. However, this portion of the story included a major plot twist that, if the reader had paid close attention in Book 1, would not have been too surprising by the revelations in Book 2. But even with all of the secrets finally coming to light, there was still the hint of perhaps some secondary-level secrets that were never touched on or brought to the surface. While there was only an HFN for the main characters, it looked like it could have turned into an HEA...if the author had chosen to write it that way.
Both main characters were well developed and made a good deal of growth by the end of the story, especially the MMC. The secondary characters were just as well-written, and it would be interesting to learn whether or not the author planned to give some of them their own story.
While I only gave this a three-star rating, the book was quite enjoyable, if a bit long. The reason behind my low ratings for both books had to do with the fact that they were both too long-winded. The author could easily have combined these two stories into one book if she had left out a lot of unnecessary scenes. Still, it made for an interesting reading.
