I loved this one! I was so excited to get back to this world. The romance in this story is slow building but so worth it. Seth and Josie are working through their grief of losing their spouses. I loved how Quinn handled this and made Seth and Josie very understanding of each other's past. Neither were jealous of each other's previous spouses. They viewed them with respect.

We do get more answers regarding the virus but surprisingly not a lot of zombie attacks. The living are scarier than the dead.

Overall, I loved this addition to the series. We get to see more from Jay and Cara with their new relationship. We also see my favorites, Sawyer and Addy.

A good story

I really enjoyed the other books and to be honest I really enjoyed this one and I’m looking forward to the next one. One of the things that made it really hard though was the lack of editing. They were way too many errors and I don’t know if I missed the transition, but there seemed to be a definitive, lack of transition from when the run was made to back at the ranch and then it seemed like quite some time had passed, but there weren’t any clear transitions as far as what I read. I appreciate the author’s vision and leaving it open ended. I just hope the next book in the series is edited better.

I enjoy a good post-apocalyptic story and Ms Quinn delivers. I like her characters, dialogue and realism…and I want the next book now please! I do want more of what happens when they make it back to the cabin…hint hint!🙂
