The History of the Canadian Peoples has been one of the most-respected Canadian history texts for many years. A specialist in the fields of Atlantic Canada and Women's history, Margaret Rose Conrad held the Canada Research Chair in Atlantic Canada Studies at the University of New Brunswick before retiring in 2009.
