Tabitha I chose to dedicate my life to helping others navigate their trauma through Meridian’s program. I’ve always been good at keeping my demons locked away. But when my walls finally crack, I am forced to choose between losing my job and participating. For the first time, I find myself vulnerable, on the other side, wondering… Who is going to save me?
Sebastian I came here to gain clarity and piece my mind back together after a devastating loss. I was just a patient until she was put into this position beside me. Tabitha Sawyer, the untouchable doctor… no, woman, that I can see slowly breaking, doesn’t realize she isn’t alone in the dark. While I failed before, I will not again. I will be the one to save her. This is Book 2 in The Meridian Institute.
What is The Meridian Rehabilitation Institute?
The Meridian Rehabilitation Institute is a BDSM-centered inpatient facility for mental health. Patients must be stable and not a threat to themselves or others before being accepted. Waivers are signed upon entrance to consent to BDSM focused practices, up to and including sex, kink play, training by any means necessary, punishment, one-on-one therapy, group therapy, and understand that participants are willingly and consensually handing control to their trainer/therapist for the sake of their mental health and long-term healing. The environment is heavily based on TPE (of varying degrees based on patient needs and trainer expectations)
Tabitha was such an amazing woman in this story. It broke my heart to see her slowly falling apart inside. The fact that Sawyer saw this and wanted to take that from her was awesome. I loved seeing her finally give in to him and allow herself what she deserved. And him giving it to her. These two connected so well, and I loved seeing her finally find release and she could be happy.
I was really happy to return to The Meridian Rehabilitation with Save Me, especially because this story picks up so naturally after the events of the first book. There were still questions I wanted answered after finishing Book 1, and this installment does a good job of filling in some of those missing pieces.
This time, the focus shifts to Tabitha and Sebastian, and Tabitha’s story takes us in a slightly different direction.
Tabitha is a doctor at The Meridian Rehabilitation, but her professional role doesn’t make her immune to her own past. When one of the patients says a particular name, it triggers memories connected to Tabitha’s trauma, forcing her to confront things she has worked hard to keep buried.
Suddenly, Tabitha has a decision to make. She can walk away from The Meridian Rehabilitation, or she can stay and experience the program from an entirely different perspective—as a patient herself.
Watching Tabitha go through that process was really interesting, especially because she’s used to being the person helping others. Now she has to allow herself to be vulnerable and accept that she may need help too.
Sebastian becomes an important part of that journey. He supports Tabitha as she works through what has been brought back to the surface, and their connection grows throughout the story. By the time everything settles, these two have reached a pretty significant point in their relationship, including becoming engaged.
I enjoyed getting more answers and seeing how Tabitha’s experiences connect with the larger world of The Meridian Rehabilitation. The story is relatively short, so it moves quickly and doesn’t spend a huge amount of time on unnecessary details.
That said, I did find myself wishing there had been more.
In particular, I wanted a deeper look at Sebastian’s history and more time devoted to the relationship between Sebastian and Tabitha. Their dynamic had so much potential, and I would have loved additional scenes showing how they got from supporting one another through difficult circumstances to becoming engaged. A little more background and emotional development would have made their romance feel even more complete for me.
Still, Save Me was an enjoyable continuation of the series and answered some of the questions I was left with after Book 1. I liked seeing Tabitha step into the center of the story and watching her move from being the doctor to becoming someone who needed to work through her own trauma.
It’s a quick read, but there’s plenty of emotion packed into it, and I’m glad I continued with The Meridian Institute series.
I’m definitely curious to see where the story goes from here!
🖤𝓺𝓾𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓼🖤 “Such a pretty kitty, Tabby. I’d love to make you purr.”
“I’m not trying to fix myself. I’m stopping her from destroying herself.”
“I won’t let my fears become your prison.”
🖤 𝓻𝓮𝓿𝓲𝓮𝔀🖤 Save Me - book two in The Meridian Institute series - was light on the spice but heavy on the trauma. The physical and emotional connections built between Tabitha, a therapist who becomes a patient, and Sebastian who is already a patient was dynamic in this quick-paced, short novella that will have you flipping pages in anticipation of what’s to come next.
*spoilers* If you read the first book in the series, then you’ve already been introduced to Tabitha. So, it opens up during a blind date she has pushed herself to attend. But turns out her date is a prick who checks out younger women. So, she decides to walk out on him. But that irritates him enough to follow her to her car and rape here for humiliating him in public. Then, we are introduced to Sebastian who notices on the news that the very same guy has been reported as missing.
See, Tabitha works alongside Thane and Reid, but shares the same emotional conflict as them. Nervous that everyone around her is willing to take as others have. But after things go south during a group session, she is forced to participate or leave the facility. It’s then that she is assigned her dom. Sebastian who is also a patient at the facility. We don’t know much about him except for his ominous presence but he quickly gains her trust.
This is directly tied in to the first book in the series, Tame Me, as events during that book connect into this one. Ayla’s kidnapping. The break in at her place. Except, you see it from Tabitha’s viewpoint as she continues to grow closer to her partner. Things escalate into a spicy therapy session between Tabby and Sebastian, until she reveals that Thane is the cause for her abuser’s disappearance.
🖤𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓵𝓵🖤 I loved the connection built between Tabby and Sebastian. The insta-love was much needed for her as she has suffered more than she’s felt secure. I did feel like it was little too short. I really like the character Tabitha and felt like her story could have been a little longer, especially when exploring the connections between her and her new found lover. But I could just be biased because I really like them together. I hope they show up again in the series. But as my first time read by the author, it was paced perfectly, the connections were present, and the chemistry was unmatched.

******CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE GOING INTO THIS BOOK****
Book 2 in The Meridian Institute Series
Save Me is a little novella type book that continues on from the first story in the series.
Even though you work at The Meridian Institute, as shown from Reid, that does not mean you have not got trauma of your own and in this book, we are dealing with Tabitha and her pain and trauma.
As revealed in the previous book Tabitha was raped by Joe, Aylas kidnapper and in this book, we dive a bit more into how that came to be and the trauma that resulted from that. Tabitha is always helping people; she's always in control and she's good at what she does but what happens when that control slips and the pain starts to take over.
That is exactly what happens on day 1 of Aylas intake when a name is mentioned and it triggers a visceral response in Tabitha that has her break down. Noticing this Thane demands she herself go through the program.
Then we meet Sebastian, who is already enrolled in the program, but when he finds himself without a submissive partner...Enter Tabitha. She is paired up with him and forced to give uo all control and be guided on how to start to heal herself.
Little did she know that Sebastian is there to heal himself of the very same thing Tabitha is healing from, but in a different way. Sebastian tasked o all hos family and friends burdens and makes it about himself and how he couldn't fix them and in turn that has turned him into a mess.
BY helping Tabitha release control over the guilt, she feels regarding the two traumas in her past Sebastian is finding healing in that fact that he is able to help others and be a guiding light and that he is not useless and his life can mean something despite his perception of his "failures" in trying to help people in his past.
A very quick story but it tied in nicely and gave us a broader insight into Tabitha.

Save Me takes us back inside the Meridian Institute, but this time we get to see things from a completely different perspective. Instead of focusing solely on a patient coming to Meridian for help, we have Tabitha—a therapist who has dedicated herself to helping everyone else while keeping a VERY tight grip on her own demons.
And if you've read Ayla's story, pay attention to this one! 👀 Tabitha's story connects with Ayla's in ways that answer some lingering questions without simply rehashing what we've already read. I'm not saying anything else because... spoilers.
Tabitha is someone who needs to be in control of absolutely everything, so suddenly finding herself on the other side of Meridian's program and being asked to surrender that control creates an interesting dynamic with Sebastian.
But Sebastian isn't exactly walking into this whole himself either.
He's dealing with devastating losses of his own, including a very recent one, and there were moments when it felt like Sebastian was using his connection with Tabitha to keep himself from falling apart. What I ended up really loving, though, was watching that dynamic evolve.
Tabitha may be the submissive in their relationship, but that doesn't mean she's weak or incapable of carrying Sebastian when he needs it. Their relationship becomes less about one person always being the strong one and more about two damaged people realizing they can carry the weight together. I thought that was actually really beautiful.
Compared with the other Meridian stories I've read, this was definitely one of the least spicy. The BDSM dynamic is still an important part of the story, but this one felt much more focused on the emotional and psychological connection between Tabitha and Sebastian than the spice.
Overall, 4 stars from me. I really enjoyed seeing another side of Meridian and especially liked how this story quietly connects back to Ayla's while still giving Tabitha and Sebastian a story of their own.
⚠️ TRIGGER WARNINGS:Discussions/references to rape and sexual assault, grief and loss, death of loved ones/cancer, trauma and mental-health themes, BDSM/TPE dynamics, power exchange, and other mature/dark themes.
As always with the Meridian books, check the author's full trigger warnings before reading.
Save Me by Jade katzchen is a short erotic dark BDSM romance set within the walls of The Meridian Institute. People come here to be helped to heal. To face their demons and have the support and safety of another in the BDSM world. So when Tabitha (Tabby), a worker for the Meridian Institute finds herself face to face with another woman has been assaulted by the very same man as her, during a group session, she nearly loses it. There is darkness weaved within the pages as Tabitha comes to terms with her assaults by two different men. Her co workers and best friends Thane and Reid realise that Tabitha needs help before she completely breaks down. So, given the ultimatum of leaving the Institute or enrolling in their program, she does what she needs to do. Becomes a patient! Enter Sebastian, a dominant, that although he is there for a very different reason than most of the others, he needs to find that his control can help someone, without him losing them. Tabitha and Sebastian are paired together. This is a quick look into the dynamics of the Meridian Institute and how it can help heal from the inside. Trust and friendship, even in a Dom and Sub relationship is important, and soon both Tabitha and Sebastian begin to develop real feelings. This is a great opener for me in this new series, and of course they reach their HEA.
I really enjoyed Save Me! Tabitha and Sebastian's story felt much more emotionally focused than I was expecting, and I loved watching their relationship develop throughout the book.
Tabitha is so used to being the person helping everyone else and keeping control of her own life, so seeing her put in a position where she has to let someone else in and surrender some of that control was one of my favorite parts of her story. Sebastian is dealing with plenty of his own grief and pain too, which made their relationship feel less like one person was there to "fix" the other and more like two people learning how to be there for each other.
I also really liked that Tabitha being submissive never translated into her being weak. There are times when Sebastian needs her just as much as she needs him, and I loved that balance between them.
This one is definitely heavier on the emotional and psychological side than the spice. The BDSM and Dom/sub dynamic are still an important part of their relationship, but the story really centers around trauma, trust, grief, healing, and learning that you don't always have to carry everything alone.
Definitely check the trigger warnings before going in because there are some heavy subjects, but I really enjoyed Tabitha and Sebastian's story.
Save Me by Jade Katzchen was such an interesting addition to the series. I did enjoy that the main characters had a different set up/dynamic compared to the other books in the BDSM Shared World Series of the Meridian Institute.
*Please check the trigger warnings though, because these books are about their main characters choosing to heal after experiencing trauma.*
There is a moment in the book where it says "you can't do that if you are drowning". And I think it is really important for people (especially women) to understand that sometimes being the person everyone relies on is exhausting. You can’t constantly put yourself last and expect to be okay. I think the saying is: You can't pour from an empty glass. So having Tabitha take a break from everything in life, and take time to actually heal herself is truly important.
I do wish the story was a little longer though, and explored more of Tabitha and Sebastian's healing together. But it is a quick and interesting read.
(Apparently you should read Tame Me first, then Save Me. I did not do that. 😅 So maybe don’t be like me and actually read them in order..)
This book is... well, really short. I read it in under an hour. Don't get me wrong, I loved experiencing everything through Tabby's eyes. She's experienced a lot in her life (and I see a lot of myself in her!). Her relationship with Sebastian is great! I just wish we got to see more of it develop, instead of having time jumps and them suddenly being completely comfortable with each other.
My biggest dislike in this book was the number of scenes that we saw from book one repeated, just now seeing them through Tabby's eyes. I've read it once, this book is so short, I'd rather that space was used to develop there characters than to repeat something I've read before. BUT my favorite part of the book is watching Tabby grow, so I guess in some aspects seeing her POV during those scenes helps. A little.
Overall, it's short, it's got some spice. Read the triggers before jumping in.
This is the second story in the meridian institute shared world,Tabitha's story who we we meet briefly in Tame me.
This book was another short, fast paced book with great character dynamics,
Tabitha starts as a doctor at the institute but after trauma from her past resurfaces she faces the difficult choice to walk away or experience the institute 9and its programme from the other side.
As Tabitha lets her walls down and allows her vulnerability show Sabatian becomes an important person in her story, supporting her through the process. As sabatian continues to support her their relationship turns to more that patient/therapist.
Sebitian & Tabithas story was emtional, dark at times but healing, it was less spicy than emilys book but still a great addition to the series. Such a smooth transition from the first book to this book.
Tabitha may be the therapist, but it is Sabastian that is the teacher. You could say that he became "teacher's pet." There is nothing wrong with this. In fact, there is everything right. Tabitha and Sebastian both had baggage to unpack. They both were able to be that rock for each other.
I found this story to be emotional based with the steam coming later in the story. While I did like this story, I did find that I struggled some to fully embrace and connect with both Sabastian and Tabby. Yet, I liked that Sebastian took the lead as I felt like Tabby takes charge in her professional career but when it comes to her personal life, she was looking for a man that she could trust to take the lead. That man is Sebastian.
Save Me is the second book in the Meridian Institute. It is a very good idea to start with Tame Me by Emily Klepp because that is where we are first introduced to Tabitha. We also see the dynamic between Tabby, Thane, and Reid for the first time. And Ayla and Tabby's experiences have a bit of an overlap. Save Me is an amazing emotional story that focuses on Tabby and Sebastian. Tabby is one of the lead psychiatrists at Meridian. She is used to being in control at all times. But when she is brutally assaulted and soon after triggered by Ayla's story she starts to spiral and is encouraged to participate in the program. Sebastian has suffered many losses in his life and is having issues of his own. He does not want Tabby's past to bury her, so he becomes her dom. I loved the dynamic and chemistry between Tabby and Sebastian. They were able to take care of and save each other. And Tabby is so used to taking care of others it was good to see her taken care of. I really enjoyed Tabby's story and I highly recommend it. Please read the trigger warnings before starting!
"Letting go in the safety of your room is one thing. Surrendering that control during the day is a different thing entirely."
Tabitha, someone who helps fix others, also needs help as she is nearly on her breaking point. Sebastian needed to fix his control issues. The Meridian Institute offers the savings they need.
The story reminds the readers to be vigilant, especially during online dating. And one must not carry the whole world on their back they can ask for help.
Trigger warnings are a must read. Your Mental health matters to us all.
Tabby and Sebastian completely won me over. 🥹 I loved how they didn’t just fall for each other—they actually helped each other through the things they were struggling with. There was something really special about watching them slowly become each other’s strength.
Their connection felt genuine, and I found myself rooting for them more and more as the story went on. They both had their own battles, but together they brought out a stronger side of each other.
Definitely an emotional read with a couple I won’t forget anytime soon.
Save Me was the 2nd Book in The Meridian Institute Series. It was by Jade Katzchen and was wonderful.
This story somewhat took off were the last one ended and was about Tabatha and Sebastian. We knew from the last story some of what Tabitha had been through, but we learned more and wow Sebastian was amazingly there for her despite all he’s been through. They helped each other grow and learned it was a wonderful story.
I received an advanced review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really liked this one. It didn't think it felt as if it was as short as it was. Sometimes with shorter book I feel that they author rushes to fit it all in but I didn't get that with this one.
I do like that story ran parallel with Emily Klepp's - Tame me. Anyway this is Tabitha's story who we did actually meet in Tame me. I did like Sebastian and I think that the 2 of them worked well together. Although they both had different trauma's it worked.
I received this as an Advanced Readers copy from the Author.
Please note the Trigger warnings before reading!
I enjoyed this quick read. This story focused on Tabby and her journey going from someone who is always helping others to finally getting the help she deserves. It is focused on her dynamic of giving up control to Sebastian who is a dom client at Meridian.
My overall opinion was I wish there was more - I would have loved to spend more time with both Tabby and Sebastian exploring their journey with each other.
This was such a great second book in the series. I love how some characters from book 1 are in this book as well. Definitely read trigger warnings as all these books have alot of trigger warnings and alot of parts that are hard to read. The background of characters was perfect so you definitely understand how they got there. The references and connections to the first book makes it to where you wouldn't think it was a different author. The only downside I had was it didn't feel like the MMC recovery was explained well. It kinda skipped over how he got over his issues.
ARC review This is another book in The Meridian institute Series. In this book we meet and get to know Tabitha and Sebastian's story. Both characters have experienced so much truma in both their lives. Sebastian ends up at The Meridian institute as a patient. But Tabitha is one of the centers therapits. In one of the sessions she is triggered by our girl Alya from book one. Thane and Reiddont miss how triggered Tabitha has been despite her keeping a brave face on the situation. Later on Thane and Reid give her an ultimatum either join the programme or leave the facility. she goes with Staying and joining the programme and so Tabitha and Sebastian's relationship is born. I dont want give too much away but the spice is spicin in this one. Again check your triggers before delving into this one. But I enjoyed it and can't wait to see who is in the next book !!
I received an advance review copy from the author and leave this honest review voluntarily

My first time reading by the author. This is series by multiple authors. I have not read the first book in the Meridian institute but they all can be read as a stand along. Tabitha was one of the institute therapist but she also was also fighting her own demons. When the others saw this was affecting the ones here to heal they pulled her to find her own healing. That’s where she is assigned to Sebastian. They both need to learn to trust and let go of the past. These two were perfect and the chemistry between them was so real. I will read more from this author.
The second book in this series follows Tabitha's story. It picks up seamlessly where the first book left off. This book provides answers to questions that remained after reading the first one.
It is a short, well-written story. I would have liked to see more background and depth regarding Sebastian's story, as well as the dynamic between Sebastian and Tabitha; that was something I felt was missing from this book.
Book 2 of 9 in a shared world Format: eBook Genre: Dark Romance
Tabitha: I chose to dedicate my life to helping others navigate their trauma through Meridian’s program. I’ve always been good at keeping my demons locked away. But when my walls finally crack, I am forced to choose between losing my job and participating. For the first time, I find myself vulnerable, on the other side, wondering… Who is going to save me?
Sebastian: I came here to gain clarity and piece my mind back together after a devastating loss. I was just a participant until she was put into this position beside me. Tabitha Sawyer, the untouchable doctor… no, woman, that I can see slowly breaking, doesn’t realise she isn’t alone in the dark. While I failed before, I will not again. I will be the one to save her.
This is a very quick and short read so relationships develop pretty quickly. I enjoyed seeing the brief glimpses of the characters in book 1.
Save Me is book 2 in the meridian institute shared world. If you are looking for a fast read that is full of spice and strength this is it. I would read book 1 of the world first due to spoilers if reading Save me first. The instant connection between the Fmc and the Mmc is one of the things thats drew me in. Jade also shows you that even those that seem strong and independent just need someone even strong by their side to give then a space to break and feel safe.
An emotional role reversal read where Tabitha, a doctor at the Meridian Rehabilitation Institute is now in need of help herself. The saying, "Physician heal thyself" is appropriate here and Sebastian is just the one that can provide the support and healing she needs to heal.
As they move forward on their journey together, they realize that the two of them, working together, that the weight of their trauma becomes lighter and more manageable.
This was such a great read. It interconnects well with Tame Me. I loved how this story played out between Tabitha and Sebastian and being able to see their dynamic evolve. Although Tabitha may be the submissive in this dynamic never once is she seen or viewed as weak or unable to hold Sebastian up when he needs her. They have both been through a lot in live and this relationship between them turns into two hurt and damaged people that help each other carry the weight.
Save Me introduces you into The Meridian Rehabilitation.
This book follows Tabitha and Sabastian
Tabitha is a doctor and when one of the patients says a name it triggers her back to her trauma. They give her the option to leave or stay and become a patient herself. Sebastian helps her get through it and end up getting engaged
This was a short and fast paced which took some depth from the story. I could see why Tabby and Sebastian were paired but couldn’t really get attached to them. It is mostly from Tabby’s pov which kinda made sense.
Other than that, I was very intrigued about the concept of sub dom facility.
[I received arc and this review is willingly given]
Save Me is the second book in the series and this was short but captured my attention right from the beginning. Tabitha and Sebastian help each other and their connection is wonderful. The amount of trust Tabitha put into Sebastian after the trauma she has endured to help her heal, that made me smile.
This is a dark BDSM romance within the Meridian Institute series. Tabitha is actually a doctor at the Institute with some trauma of her own. Sebastian helps her heal those traumas. I think they were a pretty good pair and their connection was well portrayed by the author. I will reviewing all 9 stories so be sure to check my profile for the other 8!
3.7/5 ⭐️ This was a great read! I read it in one sitting. It was pretty short, but full of trauma and resilience. I really liked seeing these characters grow and learn. They did this together and separately so that was good to see. The entire concept of this series is so interesting. BDSM as therapy. This series is great and so was this book!
