Gawd, their chemistry was amazing. The story from start to end had me giddy and rooting for both MCs to get their HEA. And it was so well deserved when it got there, spicy mafia scenes and all.

Absolutely freaking with obsessed with Flynn Brady! I’m totally here for the primal play, pain/pleasure and forced marriage.
The chemistry between Flynn and Autumn is raw, carnal and utterly addictive. Autumn is tired of being a virgin and so she decides to try her luck with Flynn, little does she know he can’t stop thinking about her. There is most definitely tension between them so she uses that to her advantage. She never expects that after one night Flynn’s obsession would only deepen.
“I’m gonna teach you how to be a good girl. How to take me, all of me.”
These two were like a match and kerosine. Autumn may be naive to mafia life and how the Consortium works but she’s willing to put up a fight; she doesn’t make it easy for Flynn but he wouldn’t take her another way. Flynn is cold, brutal and always looking for a fight. But seeing him soften for Autumn and find someone who craves the same things was intoxicating.
“You’re the only fucking thing that matters to me.”
There’s soooo much spice, it has me blushing and fanning myself A LOT. But on top of that there’s an intriguing plot between betrayal in the Consortium and Autumn’s stalker, plus incredible character development. Loved seeing Flynn so utterly in love, obsessed and willing to do anything to keep Autumn safe. Autumn may have been forced into marriage, but by the end she chooses to be Mrs. Brady.
“And right there in the dirt, covered in leaves and cum and each other, I know: This man, this beautiful, feral beast, only ever drops the mask for me. Flynn Brady is mine. And I am his. Forever.”
Honestly, I can’t get over how much I enjoyed this book. I loved Flynn as an MMC - obsessive, devoted, and unhinged in the best ways. Autumn is an FMC you can easily relate to she’s sassy, kind, and resilient. Spice that is emotional and explosive at the same time.

I love in mafia books when a cruel, emotionless monster melts completely, dropping his mask for that one person. And of course, that’s exactly what happens here.
Flynn got under my skin — there’s something about these mafia men whose childhoods have damaged their sense of self, and that’s the case here too. Flynn doesn’t believe that someone as sweet and innocent as Autumn could ever love a monster.
On top of the mafia plot, this book also has a stalker storyline — it runs alongside the main plot all the way to the end, right up until the moment the reader finally learns who has been stalking Autumn for years.
Flynn and Autumn are a couple who made me laugh out loud with their banter — especially Autumn’s references to horses and the mafia. I genuinely giggled several times, because I could absolutely imagine myself saying the same things in that situation. Flynn lives for control and power, while Autumn, despite her innocence, discovers a mischievous brat side that knows exactly how to push every one of Flynn’s buttons — which leads to some excellent moments.
As you can tell, I really enjoyed this book, and Irish mafia always works for me.
This was my first book by Joan, but definitely not the last! Next I’m getting my hands on Declan’s book, because I need to know their story!

If I had to categorize this mafia story, it would fall under forced marriage for safety and protection of a civilian 😂.
This book brings together two completely opposite worlds, Flynn, a brooding, violent, second-in-command with intense primal energy, and Autumn, a quiet, innocent, virgin photographer. When their lives collide, they end up turning each other’s worlds upside down, revealing sides of themselves that neither of them had really shown before.
Flynn is absolutely the kind of book boyfriend/husband that makes you wish you were in Autumn’s place 😂.
The plot is engaging and pulls you in quickly. The author does a great job of weaving together who’s involved with what, while showing how fiercely the characters protect each other. As events unfold - sometimes expected, sometimes completely surprising, the tension stays high and the story is packed with action.
And when the focus narrows down to Flynn and Autumn, the chemistry between them really starts to burn. Watching their relationship grow from "boderline obsession" disguised as "obligation" and "protection" to something much deeper was satisfyingly good.

This book had so much that I love and the worst part is I can't even scream about it cause it's spoilers!!! But the twists and turns? Loved it. Flynn is suuuuuch a good MMC. Really living up to the OOTTJP which is just something that I love. Autumn is a spitfire FMC and she takes no sh.t. I loved how she grew into herself and wasn't afraid to ask for what she wanted. She kept Flynn on his toes!!
So excited for the little tidbits we were given over possible coming books? Fingers crossed!!

This dark mafia romance had me from that first chapter. It is layered in details and depth. The narrative is flawless, creating a plot that builds throughout. There's tension, danger, suspense, twists and turns. The chemistry, the romance, and spice between the main characters was perfection. I really liked the overall storyline, how everything moved along at a nice even pace. I also liked that this was more then just one thing, like it blended all the elements of the plot together to bring you this one big explosive story. It is an excellent story. And an absolute must read. I cannot get over the way everything turned out, how it all came together. It surprised me in all the best ways. Thanks so much to the author for a copy of this. Great next story in the Irish consortium series. Flynn second in command for the Irish Consortium, and been obsessed about the young photographer that he first met at his best friends (Declan and Viviana) wedding. Autumn has been working with Viviana unaware of the true business Declan runs. But she is not the only one with a secret, she has stalker. And because the stalker has ruined every relationship, Autumn is still a virgin, and with him finding her again, she is determined to loose her viginity her way.
Flynn is a complete animal but also a complete softy, and Autumn is shy but slowly comes out of herself and she is brilliant, not afraid to fight back. There is a good amount of tension within the book between Autumns stalker and other things happening within the consortium.

All the characters from the first book are there as well as Kaden, Flynn's bodyguard, and they all just added to the story. And the spice was absolutely perfect, may need to have a run through the woods hopeful of finding a large Irishman. Flynn! Please chase me through the woods! I freaking devoured this book! I inhaled it so deep I see stars! I love both Flynn and Autumn!! Arghh! This book had everything. Action! Banter! Emotional! Oh and the spice OH MY GOD FLYNN!! I love how Autumn who is this hot nerdy photographer steals Flynn's attention. Flynn with tattoo all over his body and loves to fight and have this animalistic energy always broody and grumpy. I blooodyyy love this book! Definitely will reread it! This book have this good girl x bad boy trope (which i love!) and he loves chasing her through the woods (am I okay?). I cannot stress this enough! Please please read this book trust me. When I thought, okay, everything is okay now, let get to that happily ever after. And then something else happened. I mean Joan got me hooked! Now I'll be staring at the wall because I'm sad that I finished reading this. I want more of them both! Can I like wipe my memory clean for today and experience reading this again? Please? Pretty please? 🥺

Damn, it's a decent ride. Very few books take my breath away like this. For me, these two books from this series are, so far, the absolute fucking top of my book list for this year.
I enjoyed this, especially Flynn. As I thought in the first part that Declan was intense and wild, Flynn is even worse, in a good way of course. From the first pages, actually from the first part, he was hypnotic. Oh, I have a boyfriend, for seventeen years, but if someone like Flynn crossed my path, I don't know, I don't know if I would hold on 🌋☺️🤭
Again, very nicely written, lively characters that I would like to spend time with in person, a spice that will make your toes tingle and your breath catch. With possessive men who would set entire cities and the world on fire for their women, each one wanting to be caught and turned on by them 🥵🫠
Strong women who rule by their side and love them without reproach, even with their darkness and violence.
I look forward to the sequel, which won't come soon enough....

Flynn is Declan’s right-hand man (from the Irish Consortium series) and let me just say… this man checked every single box on my fictional man wishlist:

Built like he could break furniture ✔️
Filthy mouth ✔️✔️ (sir… respectfully… calm down 🥵)
And then he falls for Autumn — sweet, innocent Autumn — who just happens to be Vivian’s bestie (aka Declan’s wife)… and she’s over here trying to live her life while hiding a stalker. Casual. Totally normal Tuesday.
So you get:

Wow! Just wow!! This book is phenomenal! 👌
I luv Joan's writing and I am never disappointed 🤗 I knew this book was going to be a 5 ⭐️ read from the dedication and the prologue alone!! 😂
It is a dark mafia romance but also a battle for survival, with tattoos, bikes, violence (some very dark bits), lies, some betrayal, a forced marriage, forced proximity, age gap, found family and a dual POV.
The MMC falls first, he is obsessed "mine" and protective! 🖤🖤 Being a dark mafia romance it is also spicy with alot of primal play! 🥵🥵🌶🔥😉 The FMC is innocent but bratty and I luved following her story, watching her grow and figuring out her feelings! ❤️
They are very much opposites attract but it works soooo well! The story is fast paced and was unpredictable with some twists I totally did not see coming! 😂😉
If you like your dark mafia romances you have to pick up this series, you won't be disappointed 😉 🖤

Flynn really had it all when it comes to non-stop action, gripping drama, and a plot that kept me hooked. But let’s talk about Autumn, because her audacity is truly commendable. The way she handled the Mafia reveal by mocking them was hilarious, but redecorating his office into a "Fairyland"? Iconic.
I also obsessed over the brotherhood in this book. These men have zero boundaries and their noses are buried so deep in each other’s business that it’s hilarious.
Flynn might deny it, but "Bestie" definitely suits him! My only gripe was that the romance felt a bit "easy." I would have loved more depth and a slower burn to the confessions, but the
“Talk about my wife again,” Declan growls, “and you’ll pay the fishes a visit.” energy made up for it. A solid, entertaining read!

You NEED Flynn Brady in your life! He is obsessive, protective, primal, dominant, a 6’6” tattooed beast of a man and a possessive MMC. As much as I loved Declan from this series, Flynn surpassed everything I thought we’d be getting from this book! This was a book I couldn’t put down. His love for Autumn is something else. And he brings out a side of her she never knew she had. This opposites attract turns out to have a one thing in common, the love of primal play and chasing/being chased. Flynn has met his perfect match in Autumn and their story is absolutely beautiful. He is her unexpected hero and the best anti-hero.
