Such an honest and intelligent portrayal of just how much we are all influenced by pop culture. I loved reading this book and really took my time with it to process what Jeffrey described as I could definitely relate. I knew most of the shows/ movies he highlighted and was so interested in his perspective while at the same time reflecting on how some of these characters may have also inadvertently influenced my life. Being from the same generation as his parents it was also interesting to see how he described growing up and absorbing all their individual tastes in music and pop culture. The humour and vulnerability with which Jeffrey shares his own mental health struggles throughout make it even more relatable. I plan to introduce this book to my Book Club, I’m so interested to hear their perspectives and share mine. I will keep my copy on my book shelf (also love that the cover is pink!💗) along with my special books that I know I will revisit.
