Obsession is right! An absolute NEED to finish this in one go. No breaks. Not even for food. And wow, Arkady is what every dark fantasy is made of. The moment he sees Alina, she’s HIS. She might not know it, or agree, but she’ll get there. So what if it takes a few murders first? What a bit of collateral damage between friends?

Obsession by Eve Newton is a tense and engaging Bratva romance with sharp character dynamics, humor, and plenty of chemistry. Arkady is broody, intense, and magnetic, but what makes the story work is how completely unimpressed Alina is by him. She refuses to tolerate his attitude, calls him out when needed, and pushes him to see situations from her perspective. Over time, she becomes a safe haven for him, which adds emotional depth to their relationship.
I especially loved how they first meet where Arkady saves Alina even though she has no idea she’s in danger. It’s a clever twist on the usual rescue trope and sets up the tension that carries through the story. The push-and-pull between them keeps the pages turning, and Alina’s antics with Dima add humor that balances the darker Bratva atmosphere perfectly.
A small detail that made me laugh: even Bratva men aren’t immune to reusing passwords. As someone that works in cybersecurity, I found that unexpectedly relatable.
The pacing kept me hooked, and I finished the entire book in a single day. If you enjoy broody men, strong heroines who push back, and tension-filled Bratva romances with humor and heart, Obsession is a fantastic, fast-paced read!

Thought processes—brilliant, clever, funny.
Spice—relentless and overwhelming to all the senses, highly flammable.
Alina—amazing, funny, smart, and sarcastic (the best debates with Dimo, her suggestion that he write his memoirs really made me laugh out loud after a long time), and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was very grateful that the author placed her in a mafia setting, that she already knew, sort of, how things work and wasn’t that innocent little girl who’s scared of everything—she was definitely a tough girl I could relate to.
Arkady—painfully honest, which is his biggest plus. Hot-headed. He’s getting to know himself, growing, and his feelings for Alina grow along with him. One of the few literary male characters who gave me goosebumps and had me reaching for a tissue at the same time.
Bratva—runs like clockwork. A fleeting glimpse, yet present at every turn.
Story—very good; I’d say it was well-crafted and everything worked together. The main characters were a good match, the chemistry between them was top-notch, and their dialogue is funny, witty, and sophisticated. A very good book in my opinion, and definitely added to my top ten books of the year. Next, please....

WOW - I am absolutely in love with the characters!
Obsession is right - this book gets under your skin and leaves you immersed in their story. I stayed up til 5am finishing the book, I couldn't rest until I knew what happened with them.
Loved the tension, the back and forth of their tug of love and Alina's annoying Dima had me laughing so much, poor Dima lol he didn't stand a chance!
This is a Bratva book so don't expect puppies and daffodils, more like snakes and de@dly nightshade!

What started as possession quickly turned into obsession—for both Arkady and Alina. A rescue turns into a finder’s keepers situation… which, in true Bratva fashion, basically means marriage.
The story blends mystery, suspense, and plenty of spice. Instead of keeping his wife on the sidelines, Arkady brings Alina into meetings and even along on jobs, recognizing a skill in her that he quickly learns to rely on. Their dynamic adds a fresh twist to the usual mafia romance power balance. Highly recommend and looking forward to the next book!

Alina (FMC) gets entangled in Arkady's (not by choice) Bratva life when he steps in to save her from a dangerous situation. Only Arkady is certainly no White Knight he's more of a shoot first and ask questions later. Alina is the perfect opposite for him I thought though because she's much more than she seemed to be and had a built in instinct to read people. Which is an invaluable trait that's useful to Arkady as well as necessary in this book as it progressed. Add to that off of the charts heat that both of them generated throughout this book and it made for an outstanding read. Loved It.

Wow, this book pulled me in from the first page. Alina is fiery, fiesty and not afraid to give as good as she gets. Arcade is the dark, possessive type and I'm here for it. Their dynamic is fantastic and the chemistry between the 2 leaps off of the page. This is not your feel good cotton candy romance, so if that's what you're looking for you won't find it here. This is a dark, possessive, touch her and die story, and that's a pretty tame assessment. The spice level is on point, combined with the violence is "chef's 💋 ".

Wonderful book. This is book 1 in the Saranov Bratva series. Another book from this author that sucked me right in all the way till the end. I’m starting to get obsessed with these mafia romance and this book was definitely a favorite. Loved reading Alina and Arkady story. Loved their relationship right from the start. Storyline was really great. Let’s not forget the heat because wow it was good. Definitely a must read book. Can’t wait for the next one.

This book is aptly named! I was obsessed with the book and devoured it!! From the moment Arkady laid eyes on Alina, my obsession with these characters started. This book had obsession, passion and such a push-pull between the characters. I loved her fire and when he realizes her potential as a wife. . One of my favorite Mafia reads of Eve's!!

Alima and Arkadys story sucked me in from start to finish. I really enjoy getting sucked in to a great mafia story with a strong female and a possessive male and we get that and so much more in this book. Loved the draw they have for each other. Another great read. The plot and characters will keep your interest to the very end.

This is hands down the best Bratva Mafia romance of 2026! This was so good, I really loved how dominant Arkady was. That man could dominate me any time he wanted. Alina was hilarious and just the perfect opposite to Arkady. Can't wait to see what this author writes next!

Ummm yeah, I’m in love with Dima, lol. These aren’t your light and fluffy types—they’re dark and dangerous, lol. I loved the banter and the story flow; it’s got a lot going on and is so well written.

I loved this story! A sharp-tongued and quick witted FMC paired with a dark and dangerous MMC. It was a gorgeous mix of plot and spice and had me salivating for more. Highly recommend!!
