As far as the storyline goes, the pace is a little slower in this volume. Preston and Lena seem to be in their own bubble and not a lot of progress is made concerning the investigation. This volume really solidifies the relationship forming between Lena and Preston.

The moment this download on my tablet I stopped what I was doing and started reading. I read the last chapter twice folks and all I could say was I knew it damn it I knew it. And I was so pissed at Lena damn it I wished she would have played it smarter. I wanted to kick Derrek in face and I'm not even a violent person but I wanted to hurt him. I'm not sure how many more books we have to go but I pray this isn't going to be long before we get all of the pieces.

Part Two picks right up where part one leaves off and we find Preston keeping Lena off balance in his endeavor keep her husband from finding out about the two of them, because of the ridiculous pre-nup agreement Derrick made her sign. Preston is attentive, loving and sexy as hell, but even he seems frazzled after a car chase by a business associate who warns him that if this job doesn’t go right, “you’re going to lose a lot more than just your balls, Reid. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Lena was in the car with him and is very shaken up by this incident; although, Preston tries to soothe her fears. What the hell is going on?
Preston is constantly reassuring Lena that he is working to resolve her problem with her husband, but at the same time, is seducing the shit out of her. He is all alpha male, wanting Lena like he never wanted anyone else. He talks her to staying at his place where they have sex like a million times, hot, dirty talking, delicious, no holds barred sex that will have you literally drooling!!! Yes, all sex scenes are what you dream about!!!
Lena is constantly worried about keeping appearances up because of Derrick, the fact that she is still a married woman never strays far from her mind. Lena is a good woman who happened to marry a cheating, scoundrel of a man. But, she has no resistance against Preston, she is putty in his hands, and who could blame her!!!!
All of Lena’s concerns come to a head when her husband sends her a text to come back to her house as he needs to talk to her. What goes down at the house is Lena’s worst nightmare times two!!! It is one heck of a cliffhanger!!! Can’t wait for Book Three!! Love this series!!!

Lena esta totalmente atraída por el investigador privado, pero lo que no sabe es que su propio investigador privado guarda su propio secreto, más de los que el guarda de sus "propios" clientes.
Y en esta parte es donde su esposo, se convierte en un total BITCH! Literal, es más perro que Regina George en todo el esplandor. Y justamente es al final de libro, lo cual es malo porque te deja ansiando leer el siguiente libro al instante (y para mi caso, todavía no lo consigo y me estoy muriendo JAJA)
De verdad, ese cambio de actitud de su esposo, me cautivo y sorprendio la historia.

This series reads like a factual explanation rather than a story that gives the characters depth and feelings. The author resorts to sex to fill in the emotional connection. Very hard to connect with the characters. I'll keep going because I want to know about the husband but not because I am really invested in the MCs.

Okay,en esta segunda parte de esta serie se descubre la verdad de la identidad del "investigador". Esta más decir que las escenas eroticas entre ellos son fuego y sumándole que es una historia corta hace que se disfrute más y con ese final,más aún. Aunque para mi gusto,esta cosa de profesarse amor mutuo,es muy irreal.

This is the second instalment of the series. I was looking forward to finding out more as the first had a lot of mystery surrounding it. Especially as the first book was a secret. Obviously by now we are aware the story is about Lena Bellows and her miserable marriage to Derrek.
Lena had hired the hot private investigator Preston Reid to obtain information on her philandering sneaky husband, and it was clear there was an instant attraction between Lena and Preston.
Quote ~ "I wasn't expecting to be this drawn to you, Lena. I couldn't have prepared myself for the attraction I felt when we first met. I should have turned the job down, should have walked away, but I'm not that strong."
Preston asks — no insists on Lena coming to stay with him as he has been sleeping in his car at night keeping watch on her and is desperate for a decent night’s sleep in his bed. Well, sleep being the operative word as this segment of the story really gets steamy. Lovemaking and dirty sex scenes are in abundance and there is even a filthy act in public to which Lena enjoys, but is also angry at Preston as it makes her feel uncomfortable behaving the opposite to what she has been used to.
Quote ~ "Jesus, Lena. You're so responsive. I've barely touched you."
Lena worries that Derrek will find out she has not been home and wants to keep up the pretence until she has enough to rid herself of him without losing out. There is a lot tied up in their marriage financially. Preston informs Lena about some things he has found out about her lying and cheating hubby. Preston doesn't want Lena to go back. He wants to keep her with him.

Is Lena in some sort of danger and from whom? The cheating husband or the hot and sexy mysterious PI!! This story is short; however, I could not put it down to find out more about the uncertainty enclosed in this segment of the series. It is clear you had me in book one Anie, which in turn had me so ready for this part of the story. Oh, and the cliff hanger! Or maybe it isn't, but I most definitely was not expecting it. What a shocker! I cannot believe what you did there. I know what I'm looking for in the next part and it involves all three. Derrek, Lena and Preston...
So how will this story unfold? I had no doubt whatsoever awarding five stars purely because the writing is good. And the shortness of each book with the mystery and intrigue keeps the reader wanting more is pure genius. Kudos to the author.

Intensity seems to be the theme of this second installment in The Private Serials by Anie Michaels. The drama is intense, the characters are intense and damn the plot gets soo intense. I am addicted to Preston. I love him. I hate him. I need him in my life. Anie Michaels has woven a story that I can't put down and I am desperate to see how it all ends.
"He was generous but needy, intense but soft, domineering yet giving."
Private Encounters picks up where Private Affairs left off and Preston and Lena are working together to find Lena a way to get out of her loveless marriage. A marriage where she was cheated on and lied to for years. So it is understandable that when Preston in all his alpha glory asks Lena to hand over control of herself and her body to him that she is scared and apprehensive. But she knows with how protective and attentive he is to her that he wouldn't hurt her. Right?
"This is like every wet dream I have ever had combined into one."
Preston is sex just pure alpha sex and I love it. He knows what buttons and boundaries of Lena's to push to get her to open up and let go. For her part, Lena is both strong willed and receptive to Preston's ideas. She wants to fight and stand on her own (something she hasn't been able to do while married to Derrick) but at the same time her body and heart wants to submit to make Preston happy and trust that he can make her happy.
"Now listen to the reasons you should give yourself over to me, take me up on my offer, and be a good girl, Lena."
I love Anie Michaels writing. She pulls me in and makes me eager to get more. I knew going into this that this is the middle of a serial so without a doubt there would be a cliffhanger but WOW. The twist and turns this story is taking has me all kinds of excited to get the end. I hope everyone gives this sexy and suspenseful story a go, you won't be let down.

I am really enjoying this series! We met Preston in Private Affairs when Lena hires him to investigate her husband, Derrek. The ending of book 1 leaves you with a bit of a cliffhanger, but I'm happy to say that this story starts right where it left off where Lena is going home to pack an over night bag to stay with Preston for the first time! The anxiety I felt during this part of the story was overwhelming! I was so nervous! I was worried that Derrek was going to come home and catch her. The suspense that takes place throughout this story was great! I felt that it made the story line pretty intense.
In Private Encounters we get to see Preston and Lena's relationship on a more personal level. Lines get crossed and they both can't fight the pull they have towards each other. Their first night together was pretty hot! After Preston has Lena for the first time, he no longer is willing to share. She is his, and when she tries to leave the next day he has no problem letting her know exactly how he feels...
"You're mine, remember? You made that decision. You gave yourself to me, and now you're mine and I'll be damned if I let what's mine walk out the door."
Preston has a demanding alpha male side, but he also has his sweet moments. I liked that he continues to push Lena out of her comfort zone. She is so used to being closed off and to herself because of her marriage with Derrek. Preston is what Lena needs to get her out of her shell. However, Lena continues to have her guard up and Preston continues to try and gain her trust, completely.
As for the ending...another cliffhanger! A major one! I really did not see that coming! I can't wait to read the next installment to this series, and I am hoping that it is not what it seems. I love that Anie Michaels is constantly throwing us for a loop, and leaving us on the edge of our seats. This is really becoming a great series!

Private Encounters picks up right where Private Affairs left off. Lena and Preston are crossing a line they won’t be able to come back from and I swear I could feel the electricity in the air. Anie had me on the edge of my seat, sweating it out until the dam holding back all that sexual tension finally broke. I enjoyed watching the sparks fly between these two and Anie had me giddy with their fun and sexy banter. This volume really brought the heat and it would have been impossible to not feel the intense lust and insatiable desire laced throughout this book.
Preston still remains very much a mystery, but we do get a few more bits and pieces of him as the story unfolds. I’m hoping in the next book Anie will really delve deep into his character. We also get to see his possessive side and man is it HOT! I adored the character growth we see in Lena during the book. Anie really brings her into her own. Sure, her insecurities and flaws are all still there, but we begin to see the fierce and passionate woman that can stand strong. There was also a pretty pivotal moment in this book where Lena’s past and her marriage begin to make a lot more sense.

Lena and Preston have a relationship that they shouldn’t have. Preston is supposed to be Lena’s private investigator to find proof that he is cheating to get her out of her prenuptial agreement. Lena needs to be staying as far away from any other man sexually as possible so that she doesn’t lose everything and have to pay her husband $100,000.00. Preston makes Lena want to say yes in all the wrong ways, but are they really wrong? Can Lena survive if she gives in and gets caught?
Wow, another incredible book by Anie. Just a warning, she LOVES writing cliff hangers and boy does this book have a cliff hanger ending! I just have to know what happens next. You might need a cold shower when you are done with this book because dang, let’s face it, Anie writes some incredibly hot sex scenes and this book has plenty of them. The turmoil that Lena is going through makes you want to keep reading, to find out if she will get what she is looking for. I couldn’t help but smile at different parts in the book, making me feel like these things could happen in real life, not just in a book. There were a few times when I was on the edge of my seat reading to find out just what was going to happen. I was absolutely flabbergasted and heartbroken at the end of the book and pretty angry too.
You must read this series! If you think you hate serials and don’t want to give these a shot, I beg of you, let that idea go. Start with book one, Private Affairs, purchase this book, and wait for the third book, Private Getaway, to be out then get ready to have your mind blown away! There is nothing to disappoint in these books. They are suspenseful, have hot sex scenes, and are fun to read. What more could you ask for?

I am addicted to this serial. It's sexy, mysterious and has its twists. Lena wants to know more about her mysterious PI and trying to figure out her future, with or without him. Preston is sexy as sin, demanding, sweet and very protective. But Lena can walk away from her marriage with nothing...is he worth the risk?
Anie is the Queen of Cliffhangers and I for one fucking love it!

Dude, I am so hooked on this serial novel!
So things are moving along with Preston. Lena has been so lonely and this man is so gorgeous and charismatic... she is so vulnerable! You can just imagine what's cooking between these two.
Lena is placing all her trust on Preston finding something in order to prove her husband is having an affair. If she is not able to prove this, she is afraid she will be left destitute. Anyone who has gone through what Lena is going through with her cheating husband can only feel for her.
It is very hard to write this review without giving away the plot. Just trust me. If you read book 1 and are into this story... just keep on going, because this second installment will stun you!
Now, I need the next installment like yesterday! Anie Michaels please take pity on me! Absolutely recommended.

Private Encounters picks up where Private Affairs left off. Lena made the decision to go home with Preston. She's second guessing her actions and her brain and body don’t agree. She wants to get to know the man. She wants to know more about him than his job, his car and what his touch does to her body. She just doesn't know if she can trust him. For once should she listen to her heart? Her body craves Preston, but her mind isn't sure yet. This is the mother of all cliffhangers! I'm still slightly upset about it!!! I need the next one NOW!

Second book in The Private Serials. This picks up where Private Affairs left off. Preston is still trying to fins something on Derrick to help Lena escape her marriage without losing everything. Lena finally stops fighting Preston and gives in to the passion they feel. She wants to hand over control to him, yet at the same time she feels she needs to do things on her own and learn to fend for herself outside of a relationship.
I love the passion and romance in this book. The characters have such depth and are brought to life through the writing. Enough suspense to keep you turning pages.Just when you get caught up in the story and things are really heating up. Bang one hell of a cliffhanger. Thanks goodness the third part isn't to far away.

I have been dying to know what happens next in this serial. Private Encounters picks up right where the first one left off.
Lena is still trying Gia evidence against her husband for what she feels is hers, with the help of her PI Preston. It becomes clear that the relationship between Lena and Preston is much more then just business. But will Lena risk everything that she has earned and worked for to have a real shot at love? Or will it all come crumbling down around her?
I am very much enjoying this serial. Anie's writing is amazing and she of course left me wanting more. The chemistry between Lena and Preston is hot and amazing!! I can not wait for the next part and would definitely recommend this to everyone!

This was a really good read. I didn't want it to end. I need to know what's going to happen next. I want to see Derrek get his pay back.
Lena is trying to get out of her sham of a marriage. She has to be very careful because of the prenup she signed. She isn't happy with not being able to find evidence on her husband. She knows she can't give in to Preston, but she's having a hard time saying no. Will she risk everything with her future for a guy? Will she let another man have control over her?
This is an amazing serial so far and I can't wait for the next two books to come out in this serial. I need answers to what happens. Anie has done an amazing job with this book. There were some twists I never expected. But one I guessed, but was hoping I was wrong on!!

The story continues where Private Affairs finishes, its beautifully written and like always you will keep flicking the pages.
Lena has decided she needs actual proof to prove her husband is leading a double life and contacts a Private Investigator to help her with this. Lena feels a pull to Preston Reid from the moment she meets him, Preston has the same pull to Lena when he meets her and instead of turning the job down he decides to help her.
Against her better judgment Lena has an affair with her Private Investigator but things take a turn for the worse and she's left feeling betrayed by both her husband Derrick and Preston.
Like the first book its relatively short but we don't have to wait for book 3 as its already out go get your copy and continue the story of Lena.

Private Encounters is a very HOT and steamy read. The intense chemistry between Preston and Lena are off the charts. Private Encounters is full of action packed, hot scenes, betrayal, lies, revenge, and a whole lot of oh my goodness moments. This book hooks the reader from the very first page and doesn't let go at the end. This book will stick with you long after you read it.

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!
**Spoiler Alert** This really pains me to do this because I don't like leaving spoilers in my reviews.
OMG! OMG! OMG! Holy friggin' twist! I didn't expect that. Now that I think about it though, all signs pointed there. UGH!
I knew there was something about Preston that just wasn't sitting right with me. I was even starting to like him and thought I had found my new BBF. I'm so upset. He & Lena are do friggin' HOT together. Ugh! I'm so pissed. Why? Why? Why, Preston? Why? Arrrrrggggghhhh!
When's the next installment release? I'm off to go stalk Ms. Michaels now. I've got to know how long I have to wait for the next installment.

Wow! Well she did it again! This is a great book with a lot of steam and enough crazy to drive you out if your mind. Lena and Preston finally give in to the chemistry that has been tearing them apart since they met and it doesn't disappoint!! HOT!! However I am so very upset right now that I am having a hard time being honest. I am still in shock over the ending of this book. Anie Michaels is a freaking genius with twists and turns. This book blindsided me and I can't wait to be pulled into Private Getaways next!!

I was so excited to get this book. Lena is strong willed woman and she picks right up where she left off with Preston, but can she stay strong? Anie did a fabulous job connecting me to their story, feeling torn and turned on at the same time. Just when I thought I had things figured out, nope, not a chance. What a huge turn of events, and that is what I love about a book, when it keeps me on my toes. I never knew what was coming and I can't wait to read more from of this story. Keep writing Anie!! Great job, I loved it!

I was really looking forward to the continuation of Lena's and Preston's story and it was worth waiting for.
There was always going to be a line and once crossed there would be no going back for either of them.
They were electric together....you could feel the passion and adoration when they were together...he wanted to help and protect her and simply love her beyond reason.
Adored Lena and her tenacity but her devious husband was never far away and I was just waiting for the bomb to drop.....
And....it did bloody drop....holy hell Anie...how could you!?
Now for the waiting game...........
