Shame: Senior Year

Rate this book
Sadhbh, our favorite sexual masochist, has recovered from her dark time under control of a psychopath and is ready to have some fun again. She is determined to get married, but she doesn’t even have a boyfriend and has no idea how to get one. Her perfect man will treat her like a princess most of the time but like a slave when she needs to be degraded and humiliated. It would help if she had at least minimal social skills, but alas, she remains clueless. On the bright side, she will do just about anything, the more perverted and shameful, the better, to get what she wants.

This is the review I posted on Amazon.

Ashley Zacharias is pretty straightforward about what she writes: She writes about masochistic women. More than that, her heroines as self-aware and guilt free about their over the top masochism. Also, they live in societies which are tolerant of their "perversion" and there are male partners available who will indulge the heroine in extravagant and expensive ways, without suffering social sanctions. (Generally.)
Within this set of constraints, Zacharias creates wonderful, sympathetic characters who get into highly erotic BDSM situations which the self-aware heroine experiences as humorous exchanges between the masochistic heroine and the more or less sadistic tormenters.
In Book 4 of Zacharias's "Shame" series, our heroine, Sadbhd, (pronounced Sive) is nearing the end of her undergrad college career. She has been infamous as a masochistic libertine, has implanted a device thar ensures her perpetual virginity until the device is removed by her future husband and she has fallen under and escaped from the control of a criminal psychopath.
Now she is looking for true love.
"Senior Year" is a fun work of erotica. It is a first person narration by a sweet, good humored main character. I liked the story and highly recommend it.
