SciFi? Yes. An introspective on the human race? Yes
This book is an interesting combination of historical UFO sightings, philosophical thoughts, and a futuristic invasion. In general, it’s well written and keeps The Reader interested and amused — except, surprisingly, the philosophical aspects of the story are the dominant thing The Author wanted to express. Ponder that, as you read the story.
The only other thoughts I want to state about this book’s writing, is that the time scale for the alien invasion is peculiar … what we, The Reader, would assume was a passing of hours or evening-to-morning, is sometimes stretched out by The Author to be many days or weeks. THAT confused me while reading the story, and it makes no sense … aliens are coming to get us, they make their presence known across Earth, then they just go into idle mode, taking their time, not worried about their pace OR OURS? Maybe it’s me, but if the aliens are out to dominate our world and destroy our civilization — wouldn’t you think they’d WANT to do it with a 1-2-3 punch rather than a little bit here, a little bit there?!?
I am not sure that this scenario would actually play out if such a invasion should occur, but it's nice to think that it would. Not much action, very little character development and only so-so alien descriptions, but a very nice story. I really enjoyed reading the book!
