~This is a contemporary, new adult romance fiction serial.~
What happens when falling madly in love leads to murder?
Tara and Kevin have been best friends for as long as they can remember. When they begin to develop feelings for each other, their relationship is challenged by more than their internal struggle to hold onto the friendship.

Someone in their circle burns with rage when he learns that the girl he's loved from afar has developed feelings for another. What begins as a perceived betrayal soon becomes deadly. How this predator chooses to deal with his jealousy will rock Tara and Kevin’s small town to the core.

As Tara and Kevin continue to nurture the wild flames of their blossoming relationship, a sadistic and virtually unstoppable force is determined to destroy them and their new found love by any means necessary.

Well, this book surprised me! The first thing I have to say was OMG, I was so frustrated with these characters!! I wanted to scream! And there were some slower parts initially, but once I hit a certain point in the book and I could not put this down!

This is the story about life long friends Kevin and Tara. They have been best friends since kindergarden, but recently they have been questioning their actual feelings for each other. There is a third person in this story that is in love with her and is very jealous and vows to win her over. You figure it out by about 30% into the book, but it keeps unfolding as you keep reading.

And this ends on a cliffhanger, to some degree, but it is far from resolved. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next book to figure out what happens and why!!

I received this in exchange for my honest review.

I wanted to try a new genre for reasons unknown and this is not the genre for me. The characters are really annoying and come across as idiots. :( However, there were certain pieces of the book that kept me entertained enough to want more. One thing that really bothered me were the grammatical errors and typos at the end as if the author's editor just sort of gave up as well. :( 2 stars and 2 sad faces.

It was all over the place. At some point it is was to fast and others to slow and boring. The end is very predictable and should not have ended in a “cliffhanger” if you can call it that.
It should have been done in 1 book.
Won’t buy the next 1.

I liked this book and its characters. I wish that the bad guy wasn't so obvious. I was hoping for more of a mystery. Great story line and it sucked me in. It left me wanting the rest of the story.

Sad, sad, sad

To much violence for me. When someone has mental issues they should be on medication in real life as well as in a story for everyone to read..

Another Great Read!!

I love how this story grabs your attention and pulls you into the story almost trapping you there until the very last page. I literally had to pull myself away from this one to get anything done. Her writing is unique and very addictive! Grabbing work by this author and get lost in the story with the characters is something I do as often as my life allows! Thanks for another great one Bella!!

Hmmmm I'm not sure what I expected from this book. But it sure wasn't what I got from reading it. And no I don't mean that in a bad way. I want to say author Bella Love-Wins is a new author to me. I had never heard of her before having a Spotlight spot for Burnt on my blog a couple weeks ago. Now on with my review.....

Burnt starts off with Tara and Kevin finishing up the first part of their college years in Alaska. Both of them studing in the same career field. Before they both move on to Montana. Until Kevin finds out that he failed the course and has to retake it. Where than Kevin and Tara return home and some murders start happening. I loved the great friendship you could feel between Kevin and Tara right away. You could also feel the chemistry between the two of them, even if they both were denying the attraction.

So usually in my reviews this would be where I split up the main characters and say why I like them individually. But I'm not going to this time. I will say this I liked both Kevin and Tara right off the bat. Even though their college aged, their both driven, they both obviously know what they want in life, their both focused. And their both a bit stubborn.

I will say this I was a worried at the start of this book. It started a little bit slow, at least to me. But by the end of the first chapter it had definitely grabbed my attention. And than picked up from there. I'm not sure what was going on with the parents in this book. They were definitely a mystery to me. Both Kevin's parents and Tara's mom didn't seem to like either of them. Yeah they were a little fishy to me.

I'd give Burnt 3.5 Out of 5 stars. There's a little bit of drama, a little bit of mystery, and some smoking Hot smexy scenes. I can't wait to read the next one in this series to see what happens next!!!!

Burnt by Bella Love-Wins is a story of friends to lovers. Tara and Kevin have been best friends since childhood.

" He cocked his head. “You have to be kidding me. Don’t you remember how you socked a snowball at me for no reason?”She put her hands on her hips. “Kevin Crawford, you know very well I had plenty of reason. We were in kindergarten and you said my snowsuit was weird.” "

Kevin going on a date with another woman was just the push that Tara needed to cross the line into a romantic relationship with Kevin.

As the couple grows closer together, we see more and more of another jealous heart being thrown into the mix.

“You should be the one in there... not him,”he heard in his head. “This is a disgrace to you. They’re being rude and not taking your feelings into account.”

Throughout the course of this book we learn of a serial killer plaguing the town and you are given a suspect but doubt is cast on that situation. Can the cases be solved before another life is taken? Is love enough for this couple to get their happily ever after?

This book is a cliff hanger.

ARC given for honest review.

Do you love a contemporary romance which has more than romance? I do. If that is what you like, you should definitely read this book.
When I started reading BURNT, I was immediately drawn into the sweet romance between Tara and Kevin. While their relationship was developing, a sinister element was developing in the background. However, it’s not long before the murders played a bigger part in this book. Both of these elements, kept me interested until the end. I picked the killer and it frustrated me no end when the characters in the book couldn’t.
The synopsis of BURNT states that this book is part of a serial and it also ends on a cliffhanger. This didn’t stop me reading this book and it definitely won’t stop me reading the next one in this three part series.
I gave BURNT 5 stars.

Oh, this was so good! I've read a couple of Bella Love-Wins' books lately and I've been loving them so far. Burnt is my newest favorite. In all honesty, at first, this was another case of "friends with benefits" kind of story, But as I moved on with the pages, I realized there is more than meets the eye, between Kevin, Tara, and that mysterious stalker. The story got more intense when I realized Jake's involvement with the BFF-couple. Murder, mayhem, chaos, betrayal and lust - these elements ignite the situation, thus burning them in the process.

Burnt is the first of three full-length novels in the Wild Flames serial romance. Clearly, I've been burned by this first book, and I'm still willing to get torched in the next. This would surely be a hot and fiery series to watch out for!

Good book and interesting!

Kevin and Tara were best friends and went to school together. Over the years, Tara felt like there relationship was changing. When Kevin found out he wouldn't be graduating do to felling one class, he had to find a way to tell Tara. When he told her, she said she would stay behind to tutor him because they were suppose to go to school together. They love one another but Kevin brother Jake is crazy. He is obessed with Tara, he has multiple personalities. Kevin and Tara gave Jake an alibi, when one of there team mates had been discovered dead. At the end Kevin found out that it really was Jake killing the people in town because he had left his hat with his initials JC at the last scene, killing the desk clerk at the hotel.

It's really hard for me to believe that some people think this book is worthy of 5 stars. The grammar was atrocious, there were a ton of formatting mistakes and misspellings, and the "suspense" was non-existent. A reader can figure out who the bad guy is quite easily. I found the intimacy scenes to be rather befuddling..... the characters go from just friends to putting their hands in very intimate places very quickly. The pace of the relationship was extremely rushed and unrealistic. I also find evidence that either the author or her "street team" leave fake reviews on various sites. I'll stay far away from this author in the future.

Could have been better

It could have been a better, the writing felt like middle school, so early high school. There were a lot of grammar errors, and run on sentences. I felt like this book had not been edited or even reread because there was not English sentences, also misspelling of words. There was also too much of jumping between characters with no real notice that POV was changing. This story line could have been a very good story had there been more editing, better grammar.

I received this book as an ARC directly from the author. I really liked the story between two friends. The suspense part of the story kept me turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. The relationship of the main characters is strained at times but they seem to find their way back to each other. Overall a good read, have to say I'll be looking forward to the next book in this series because it does leave you hanging.

Fair....CLIFFHANGER

Best friends fall in love. Kevin and Tara have been best friends since they were six. Now they are home for the summer and there is a serial killer in their hometown. But then Kevin's brother is implicated and he lies to protect him.
The story is good but there were so many grammatical errors. It was like half way through they just quit checking them. Plenty of sex.

A Who Done It Mystery

We have a young couple nearly ready to graduate from college.......and the story really revolves around them. They have been friends for so many years. Their good friendship begins to blossom into an undying love! But Jake, the brother makes his entrance. A decent storyline to boot.

Well I don't know, but regarding of what I had heard about it, I think I'm a little bit disappointed. Maybe because of my expectations was miles high. Though I like the smooth and voluble way of writing but I think it's teenagers book more than an adults one. Anyway it doesn't deserve more than three stars.

If the time I took to read it is a tell, yep, I struggled to finish this book! How can some people think this is a 5 stars-worthy book? I read somewhere that the author or her "street team" left fake reviews, it's not very clever, IMHO. With so many grammar mistakes, misspellings and typos, the lack of suspense, ridiculous sex scenes, the only good thing about this book is that it was free!

I was hoping to get to continue with this series, but when I went to buy the next book I could not purchase it on iBooks. So I'm really left hanging with this cliff hanger. I really did enjoy reading this book though.

Love is Blind!

A good representation of not seeing what is right in front of you! The story and suspense was good but I thought the sex scenes were a bit repetitive and somewhat crass. The characters were likeable and the pacing was good.
