A man with no memory regains consciousness twenty-two years following a world-wide nuclear holocaust. Follow this fast-paced journey of exploration, adventure, and discovery of the truths regarding the mysteries of both himself and this brave, new world. The ways of the old world still bleed into times of strikingly believable hardship, exposing the good and dark sides of a barely futuristic human race while introducing amazing new technological advancements, new breeds of people, and incredible animals. Chapter-less, and using news articles and intercepted communications to break up the storyline and envelop the reader in a dense background of information in a totally original, imaginative format, "The End - Part 1" is the lead book in a series titled 'The Continuation of Days'.
*A Copy of this Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review*
By the time I had read 20% of this I had decided it was worth at the most three stars, probably two. Then it was as though the author had suddenly got an extra ten years’ experience and it wanted to know what happened and re-assessed the writing, giving it five stars. Frankly I get bored by most post-apocalyptic stories but this one proved an exception and I recommend it. I would, however advise re-writing the first part, but until then I suggest reading it anyway – and the others in the series as they are published.
