This book !!!! It’s like a csi cold case investigation but you have campus and humans !!

This book gave me all the feelings, and honestly I’m still processing it.
Going in, I was excited for Reina’s story—especially the evolution of her relationship with her mother. I expected romance, tension, emotional payoff… and the entire time I was reading, I was operating off my own theories about where things were headed. None of them played out the way I expected, which says more about me being unhinged than Olga’s characters being predictable.
I started this book loving Enzo. Truly. But the more time I spent with him, the more disappointed I became. He’s deeply self-absorbed, consumed by the negative parts of his experience in a way that became harder and harder for me to ignore. For someone who has lived as long as he has, I kept searching for evidence that there was something anchoring him to life—something meaningful beneath the attitude and lifestyle—but emotionally, it felt absent.
What shocked me even more was Reina.
Without spoiling anything, I expected more from her. Maybe because of her background. Maybe because I wanted her to meet certain moments differently once life really started lifing. I wanted her to be more assertive, more emotionally involved, more active in the chaos unfolding around her. And that disconnect frustrated me in the best way because it kept me emotionally invested the entire time.
That’s actually why this is still a five-star read for me.

I somehow loved this even more than Little Wing!!!
I went in expecting a cozy paranormal romance and got that… but I also got a mystery that completely threw me off, characters that felt incredibly real, and a world that just keeps getting better the more time you spend in it.
Reina was such an easy character to root for. She’s funny, messy, stubborn, and has such a big heart. Her relationship with Enzo felt earned because they actually spent time getting to know each other instead of instantly falling into each other’s arms. The slow build made every moment between them hit so much harder.
Enzo surprised me too. He’s not your typical perfect vampire MMC. He has flaws, baggage, and a lot of emotional walls, which made him feel like an actual person instead of just another broody immortal.
The mystery kept me guessing almost the entire time. Every time I thought I had it figured out Olga managed to pull the rug out from under me, and I absolutely loved that. It never felt like twists for the sake of twists either. Everything made sense once the pieces came together.
One of my favorite things about this series is how cozy it feels despite there being murder investigations, vampires, and genuinely darker moments. The found family, the bookshop, and getting to revisit characters from Little Wing made Fairhaven feel like a place I’d actually want to live.
If you want a vampire romance that’s more mystery than romantasy, with believable characters, fantastic banter slow burn chemistry, and a world that feels fresh in a genre that’s been done a thousand times this series deserves way more attention.

I absolutely loved this book. I read Little Wing first and absolutely devoured that one (hehe) and Project Eternal was just as good, if not even better. I really loved the main characters, Reina and her mom are very close to my heart because I honestly saw a lot of my own mother in her. I loved seeing their complicated relationship and how it evolved over the course of the novel. I think it really shows where their society is in terms of accepting other vampires. Of course it was lovely to still see Lotus and Silas in other parts of the book, I truly enjoyed that there was a different couple in this one. I LOVED ENZO!! He is so stunning, both in looks and his attitude. I love the way he treats Reina and he has a very stoic nature about him that I love.
The story has a lot of drama, with friendships, crime, and vampires all thrown into the mix. I think the pacing was really good because no parts of the story felt slow to me, the spice was excellent, and I loved how the story unfolded. I would def recommend this to anyone who loves paranormal romance, especially if they love seeing complex dynamics between humans and vampires.
All around a great read and I look forward to more by this author!!

I don't always read vampire books, but if I do, Olga Ziminska will forever be one of my go-to authors for this! Ever since I read Little Wing, I'd been (impatiently) waiting for Reina's story. It did not disappoint! As a Latina born and raised in the U.S, I really appreciated the way the author thoughtfully addressed racial discrimination. In this book, you don't just get fantasy, you get social critique of issues that really hit home with racial issues going on in the world today.
Although the book deals with heavy issues, it still manages to somehow feel like a cozy read, and the way Ziminska those healthy friendships and romantic relationships is everything!
I personally skipped some of the spice because it is just not my jam, so if you're on the same page, you might appreciate knowing that you can skip through it and still get a story that feels complete. For those who are here for the spice, I did read at least one of the scenes, and I can tell you the author does deliver!

This is a continuation from book 1 Little Wing but in this one as the story continues we get Reina and Enzo’s arc.
I truly enjoyed this book and I absolutely love Reina she’s the type of person that just draws you to her and can be instant friends with. She so fun. We still get to see characters from the first book and I absolutely love Lotus and Silas.
Enzo is a vampire detective and Reina is a human but she loves to hook up with vampires for one night stands from a dating app designed for vampires. Unknowingly she matches with Enzo, but they just talk and chat back and forth for months before he finally decides to meet up and they have a strong connection but either reservations from both of them.
While Enzo is investigating a serial killer, he finds himself having to not only protect himself but also Reina, which brings them closer together. I had my predictions as to what was gonna happen, but I was so wrong the way to all played out.
These books are so different than any vampire book I’ve read and I loved it. They are just a cozy good time and I’m here for it all!

I was blessed to be an ARC reader for Olga again! She did provide me with an Advance Reader Copy. In no way has my opinion been influenced because of this, it's my true thoughts of the story I received.
After being obsessed with Lotus & Silas for a year I was able to pick up Project Eternal with lots of anticipation! This story was about Reina & Lorenzo. After they have some rocky beginnings, they both decide to give the relationship a real shot and I was here to gobble it up! I loved the relationship progression and really enjoyed the spice scenes perfectly peppered throughout!
There was a mystery aspect in this book. I really enjoyed it and it helped to keep the pace going and the reading easy. I enjoyed the characters in this book the most though! They were so real. Holding onto grudges, past pain, and learning how to navigate the world with each other!
I love Olga's writing! I think that if you love paranormal romance stories & mystery books...you will enjoy this one for sure! I highly recommend reading Little Wing first although it's not 100% necessary.

Thank you to the author for letting me read the arc version of this book! I really loved reading about Reina and Enzo. If I remember correctly, I didn’t write a review for Little Wing, I just rated it because I had a lot going on at that time. But this book was a beautiful follow up. I loved the mystery subplot we get, plenty of suspense that I enjoyed. The relationship between Enzo and Reina is written so beautifully. The character development of these characters is so well done! I’m excited for the next book, which will follow Kait.
My biggest gripe (which is a bit of a spoiler) has to do with Sofie. I thought it was established well that she felt uneasy around vampires. I honestly thought it was going to be revealed she would have something to do with all the disappearances going on, but apparently not. I did hope we would get a little more of an explanation of how the awkward conversation between Kait and Sofie went, but I’m assuming that will be in the next book. Overall, this was a lovely story.

I couldn't get enough of Reina and Enzo's story. Finding that Enzo had saved her as a child thankfully didn't turn out to be creepy but endearing. The personality of Reina came through in her quirks and banter. The twists and turns of the investigation had me questioning who the antagonist would turn out to be considering the hate resonated from a few directions. I loved seeing Reina's mom grow and reflect on her past trauma and make efforts to prevent losing their relationship. I especially appreciated the fact that Lotus and Silas continued to be prevalent in this piece and not just afterthoughts. it's as if their story which started it all is still a priority with additional main character added. I received this ARC copy from the author and am leaving my honest feedback of my own free will.

Book Two of The Shades of Fairhaven was amazing. I loved Little Wing, but getting Reina and Enzo's paranormal romance and the mystery along with it kept me on my toes. Twists and turns had me trying to unravel the strands of the CSI level cold case along with Detective Morello. Reina and Enzo have an interesting meet cute, that I want to talk about but also don't want to spoil! The characters feel believable and real, they have doubts, baggage and make choices that can frustrate the reader but again that's part of what makes it seem like real (I mean minus the vampire factor).

We have a strong female main character who is spirited and compassionate, teamed up with a vampire detective who has a history of trauma. At its root, this book is about resilience, overcoming prejudice, saying no to hatred, and embracing diversity. It's about fighting for equality and abolishing discrimination within work environments and society. This book truly reflects the beauty of its maker, Olga Ziminska.
As I expected after reading book one, these characters were well-developed and extremely relatable, allowing the story to evoke a deep emotional connection. I can't wait to return to Fairhaven for book three.

I loved Little Wing, but Olga really knocked it out of the park with book two. Project Eternal has EVERYTHING! Romance, mystery, action, and even has some parallels to current events that tie in beautifully. Reina and Enzo are 🔥🔥🔥🫠🫠🫠, but I especially loved the way Reina and her mom had to work through some very real issues that I think many of us face with our parents. I loved the resolution there, and how it wasn't an instant fix because realistically it's never quite that easy. It was a solid compromise with a promise to do better, and that felt like a perfect way to tie things up. I am SO EXCITED for book three!!

This was such a good book! It had a very different tone than the first book- Little Wing, but it was about different main characters. The tone of each book has fit the main characters perfectly.
I enjoyed getting to know Reina and Enzo on a more personal level. I liked learning more about the different eye colors and what they mean for the vampires. There were a few things that surprised me, and something that completely shocked me (no spoilers!)
I recommend this to anyone who wants a different take on vampire lore, anyone who is dipping a toe into the darkness, or anyone who likes a story that has strong “found family” ties.

I absolutely loved this book. I fell in love with Reina and with Enzo. Each of their stories are compelling and combined their story is just heart wrenching, healing, and so poignant. The writing is so fluid - I felt as if I was watching a great movie as I read this. It was a page-turner and an absolute pleasure to read.

I loved returning to Fairhaven!! It was so fun switching to Reina’s pov! That slow burn will they won’t they with the detective… 💋 I also enjoyed the mystery of him trying to solve the decades old case of a serial killer. The struggles of humans vs vampires even after the peace treaty was really interesting to read! Loved this so much and can’t wait for book 3!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Project Eternal is the second installment in the Shades of Fairhaven and a wonderful addition to the world. I loved learning more about the vampires and what it means to have gold eyes. This book was a littler darker than book one and definitely spicer. Human x Vampire romance.

First of all, I loved how Reina did some growing in this book! It was nice for her to figure out more what she wants for herself.
Second of all, we have Enzo! I loved how he took a very complicated (to say in the least) situation and used it as a drive for the better.
I enjoyed the mystery parts of this book! The romance and the spice were great! Great book!
