I loved returning to Jonathan Island, loved how the story is mostly focused on the bookstore, and loved Oliver and Eliza's story. Find Me in the Story is about loss, grief, broken hearts, and healing. Oliver and Eliza make a great couple and complement each other. If you enjoy a contemporary romance read about workplace romance and a bookstore with faith woven into the story, you don't want to miss Find Me in the Story.

Get ready for the best festival of all on Jonathon Island--a book festival!!! You will want to grab all of your books and get them autographed while you are there! There might be some great surprises in store for you during the festival as well. You will meet the co-organizers of the festival--Oliver and Eliza. Oliver owns the bookstore, loves books and story time but guards his heart. Eliza is a fount of creative energy but is struggling with her place on the island.

Like Oliver taking ownership of the island’s sole bookstore. He’s trying to breathe new life into the business, but is it draining the life out of him?
Possibly. At least, until he impulsively hires Eliza. She’s a breath of enthusiastic fresh air. And she’s carrying her own burdens.
Both have suffered tremendous loss. Both feel stuck with no clear direction. And both are working on the book festival to help draw visitors back to the island.

i really enjoyed the jonathon Island series. I was excited to read the next installment, this book introduces new characters while mixing in the I was familar with. eliza a widower is coming back home to to help the local bookstore. She meets Oliver, he is not looking for love but it seems develop as you are reading the story. I love the small town feel of the island. I look forward to see what next on island. I wish they make this into a show

Reading the first book in the second season of the Jonathon Island series makes me want to go back and catch all of the remaining titles, so anyone who is caught up will find this season opener to be a real treat. Oliver Sullivan, the brother of Dani from the first book of the first season, is managing a bookstore and gets roped into a booklovers’ festival right when he least wants to host it. Thankfully, Eliza Quinn is transitioning between jobs and ends up being the perfect answer to what Oliver needs. It's a literary reunion where famed authors from the first season make an appearance and those on the island come together to celebrate all things related book-related.
Beyond the immersive book-within-a-book experience, I appreciate that I could learn more about the Sullivan family as they seek to redeem what has happened to the island and their family after a devastating fire. Addressing some of the underlying allusions and accusations from other islanders, this storyline intrigued me as I could see the toll that the fire took on the children based on the actions of their parents and how it has translated into their personal lives as adults. It's encouraging to see how God restores faith and hope in the Sullivans as they work through their issues with Him. Readers who are familiar with or new to Jonathon Island will find themselves completely surrounded by authors, publicists, and all-around book fans in Find Me in the Story, all of whom come together to help a young couple move beyond grief to new beginnings.

YAY!
Another story set on the sweet Jonathon Island. I’m so happy to continue reading about all the fun community events happening on this amazing island.
I loved hearing what was happening with all the past characters and even some new ones. Now I can’t wait to keep reading about all the many fun and interesting individuals.
The thing about this and all the other books in the past series is that I feel like I’m a part of a wonderful, caring, and sometimes quirky community. I have grown to love each of the characters and hurt when they hurt, but also smile and find joy when they do.
Each of the authors in this and the past series has woven delightful tales that have touched my heart and kept me wanting more.
Lisa Jordan is a newer author to me, and I find she has a lovely talent for drawing the reader in and keeping them reading until the end of the story.
The whole story flowed and progressed smoothly. She brought the island to life with her descriptions and dialogue. I truly enjoyed reading this book.
I now look forward to the next book in this series.
I highly recommend that you pick up this book to continue your adventures on Jonathon Island with all its colorful characters.

I really liked this story. It made me want to go to this fictional island and visit the bookstore.

It is always my pleasure to visit Jonathan Island. The community and the love the members of this community have for one another is like receiving a warm hug on a cold winter's day.
Oliver and Eliza both need a fresh start and a lot healing, both heart healing and spiritual healing. Oliver has lost faith in God along the way after suffering a tragic loss, and it has changed the man he is today.
Eliza has been burnt by a man, which makes her a little romance shy. She is also at a crossroads in her career, and she is conflicted about where she needs to be and where she belongs. When she bursts into Oliver's life by informing him (not asking) that he needs to hire her at his new bookstore. That was some interview - one where the employee told the employer what was needed. Oliver was a little overwhelmed, but soon realizes that it was the right thing for him and his bookstore.
Eliza is quite the whirlwind. When she starts a project, she goes all in with all of her mind, body and soul. She is fully committed. Oliver overthinks everything. They are very different, but so much alike as well. They actually complement each other.
This wonderful romance is about being given a second chance at living, as well as finding refreshment and renewed faith while never forgetting the past, but also realizing it does not have to stymie future growth and/or living.
The cherry on top of this story is the festival in this Jonathan Island book is a Book Festival. As a reader, I wanted to join in the festivities.
Once again a Jonathan Island book has stolen my day, but I have no regrets for the time I spent devouring this book.

It was great to have the chance to return to Jonathon Island in this book. Took me just a minute to remember all the characters, but it didn’t take long to remember Eliza and Oliver’s connections to characters we already know and love if you’ve read the first “season” of books.
Eliza is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life after the season of being her famous author aunt’s assistant ends. She wonders if returning home and helping with the efforts to revive the island and using her talents is exactly what she needs. And working in the recently reopened bookstore and helping plan the first book festival? Um, yes! Her old friend Ollie is half owner of the bookstore and a lot has happened since they last saw each other. They’ve both had a lot of heartache and loss, but they begin to realize how much they appreciate and click with each other… and the rest is history.
I felt Eliza’s personality- overachiever who wants to make things perfect. And learning to instead to just do your best and rely on God to use your efforts for His good. I think both Eliza and Oliver learn some good lessons in this story. There were times I wanted to shake them both, but that means I cared! They definitely had me rooting for their relationship.
I’m glad to have the background of reading the season one Jonathon Island books first, the massive cast of characters would have been overwhelming, I think, if I didn’t know who they were. That being said, I’m SO glad the Jonathon Island stories are continuing because there’s so much story left to tell. I can’t wait for the rest of this season as the Sullivans each make their return home.

Find Me in the Story is book 1 in the second season of Jonathon Island, and my heart could not be happier to return to Jonathan Island. We get to meet new characters while also checking in on other beloved characters. This small island town is the perfect mix of cozy and sweet, with underlying problems that get solved in the perfect Hallmark-esque way. So, if you love Hallmark movies, you are in for a treat. Grab your favorite blanket, a cozy beverage, and let’s dive in. This series will have you turning the screens off for this fun town.
Oliver Sullivan is co-owner of the island bookstore. He is having a hard go at it. Since losing his wife, things just aren’t the same. His sister, Dani, has asked Oliver to take over the book festival.

Welcome to season 2 of Jonathan Island, one of my favorite fictional places! In this story we meet Eliza and Oliver. She is at a crossroads in her life, and he is trying to pick up the pieces of his own shattered dream for the future. Both are grieving losses and trying to find their footing in life. Oliver owns the island's bookstore, and Eliza all but demands that he hire her to help him. The island is having a book festival, which both Eliza and Oliver are recruited to help plan and run. I found myself becoming excited about this festival as well, and wished that there would be something simliar that I could attend in real life! Eliza and Oliver work together to make the festival a reality, and in the midst of their planning begin to have feelings for one another. Oliver fights those feelings because he feels it would be inappropriate to have a relationship with his employee. Eliza struggles with a decision for her future and what that would mean for a possible relationship. Readers will enjoy a return to this fictional island that very much reminds me of a real island in the Midwest that I have visited. This is a sweet story about finding a way back to faith and love. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

How fitting that book one of season two highlights new beginnings. Author Lisa Jordan wrote book four, Meet Me on Blueberry Hill, last season and returns with a focus on another set of island residents, Oliver and Eliza, in book one, Find Me in the Story.
Oliver is part-owner of a bookshop in town and hires Eliza to help in the shop and with organizing the book festival. Like Eliza, he’s stuck in a chapter of his life and can’t seem to move on.
Things I appreciated:
💜Seeing characters move beyond their challenges, take initiative and rewrite their own ending
💜Encouragement to look ahead to the next chapter rather than focusing on being stuck
💜Our worth isn’t dependent on what we do or offer others
💜A focus on trust and partnership
This Christian romance highlights Deuteronomy 31:8 and examines the perfection of God’s timing and his ability to help us with the next step.
I’ll remember this book for the exploration of integrity. It’s not a characteristic that’s often discussed in literature and I’d love to see more of it!

A sweet bookish romance kicking off the Jonathon Island series Season 2! A story of healing, purpose, and second chances
Oliver Sullivan returns to Jonathon Island after losing his pregnant wife. He and his lifelong buddy Jonah have bought the local bookstore and he is running it while Jonah is deployed overseas. Eliza Quinn is back on the island helping her parents move from their ranch to a new cottage. She's lost her brother, and soon her childhood home, and is trying to figure out her next steps.
I got a kick out of Eliza taking the help wanted sign out of the window and insisting on Oliver hiring her. Oliver has been tasked by his sister Dani Sullivan to organize the upcoming book festival designed to bring tourists to the island. Eliza is a huge help. As they work together, they begin to see each other in a new light.
Lovers of contemporary romance, and small town settings will certainly enjoy "Find Me in The Story" by Lisa Jordan.

As an avid reader, I am a huge fan of bookshops, especially cutesy, hometownsy little ones. This one was just a lovely setting!
I also of course, loved the people! Eliza and Oliver could not have been more different. But that perhaps was what made their friendship work?!
They both were reeling and recovering from losses, and needed to make this bookshop a success. And then the idea of having an island book festival (I also love book festivals, btw!)
Sweet, sweet story, lovely location, intriguing characters, inspirational story line, what more could a book want?! I recommend this to anyone looking for a Hallmark-feeling kind of story. Especially if you've read the earlier Jonathan Island books...you won't want to miss this one!

I knew I was going to like this book! One, it takes place on Jonathon Island and I have quickly become a fan of this island. If only it were real and I could go there! And two, ummm, it basically takes place in a bookstore! Yep, I knew I was going to like this book. And I did!

It's such a treat to visit Jonathon Island again, and I couldn't have asked for a better return! Two grieving people join forces as Jonathon Island prepares for a special Book Festival. Eliza Quinn is an over-the-top enthusiast who doesn't just ask for a job in Oliver Sullivan's bookstore; she informs him that he needs to hire her! Will this somewhat reserved owner be willing to work with someone as outgoing as Eliza?
Find Me in the Story is a touching story of loss, grief, and second chances. Oliver's outward grumpiness can't hide his love for children or his joy in offering a story time each Saturday morning. Bookstore romances always draw me in. This one was no exception.
Oliver and Eliza had complex issues that made them completely relatable and believable. I could especially empathize with Eliza who wondered if she would ever find the perfect fit for her home base and career.
I choked up when the horses returned to the island. It’s such a triumphant moment (and I’m a bit horse crazy). Jordan drops in several symbolic items that strengthen the spiritual arc for both characters.
If you’ve read any of the other books, you’ll enjoy reconnecting with those couples as they all make an appearance (or five) in this book.
This is perfect for book lovers, too, with interesting glimpses behind-the-scenes into the writing business that fit naturally into the story and add to its authenticity. I’m ready for my next visit to the Island already.

I really enjoyed "Find Me in the Story" by Lisa Jordan. This is a sweet and clean romance full of heart and a second chance for Oliver. He and Eliza knew each other growing up but when each moves back to the island, she starts to work with Oliver at his bookstore. They work to put together a literary festival as part of the island revitalization and despite many twists and turns, misunderstandings and events out of their control, these two fall in love.
This is a book about books and small towns. This book contains characters from the first "Season" of Jonathan Island books but can be read as a standalone. The reader will get more out of it having read the first 6 books. Then after this one there are 8 more. I've definitely enjoyed these books and look forward to the next 8 being released.

I loved the bookstore setting. I want an Island Bookstore near me. Oliver Sullivan’s love for books and reading to children won me over right from the start. A little grumpy, I couldn’t wait to see Eliza Quinn chip away at his gruff exterior. Eliza was a force to be reckoned with. You could feel her energy and enthusiasm to make the book festival a total success. This is a sweet romance where misunderstandings lead to some rash decisions, but it’s not filled with a lot of angst. Sometimes it’s nice not to have one problem after another hitting the characters. Finally, the faith element is nice but not overdone. It’s what you would expect from a Sunrise book. This novel is another clean and tender offering that will leave you feeling happy.

I have loved all the Jonathan Island books, and this second "season" of the series is turning out to be as delightful as the first one. In this story, not only do we follow along with our favorite characters from season one, but we also focus on the Sullivan family, which absolutely thrills me! This is a family with complicated dynamics, scandal, and heartache. Yet this season will, I believe, be about redemption and healing for them all. And Lisa Jordan started us off in proper form with Oliver Sullivan's restoration story. It’s hard not to enjoy a story set in a bookstore! Right from the beginning, Oliver Sullivan’s passion for books and his love of reading to children drew me in. Although Oliver starts off a bit grumpy, I was eager to see how Eliza Quinn would gradually break through his tough exterior. Eliza comes across as determined and full of enthusiasm, clearly invested in making the book festival a huge success. This charming romance features misunderstandings that lead to impulsive choices but avoids excessive angst. The faith element is woven seamlessly into the story, exactly as you’d expect from a Sunrise book.

Eliza and Oliver make such a sweet couple.
I love how these Jonathan Island novels have characters who grew up on the island slowly coming back home. It was so sweet to see Eliza working at the bookstore, planning the festival and finding her passions in her hometown.
Oliver was a wonderful opposite for her as well. I loved seeing him finally heal his heart and his relationship with God after his wife's death. And I loved seeing the light that Eliza, the bookstore and Jonathan Island brought back into his life.
I also love seeing so many characters from the previous books back in this one. It's great to see the couples furthering their relationships, getting engaged and married, etc.
All in all, I really enjoyed these books and I am looking forward to more of them!

I loved this sweet book that had all of the cozy bookstore vibes! I wish I worked in a bookstore like Judah and Oliver’s. As usual, the island was beautifully portrayed and the characters seemed to come to life from the pages. Were Eliza and Oliver a bit annoying when they had communication issues? Yes, but that didn’t take away from the charm and plot of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

A romance set in a Jonathon Island bookstore? Yes, please! Add in a grumpy/sunshine, slow-burn romance between two people who seem to have nothing in common, and you have the perfect elements for a great read.
Oliver is a grumpy, young widower with impenetrable walls around his heart. Eliza is the sunshine he doesn’t know he needs.

Don't miss the latest Jonathon Island book! Eliza Quinn makes a temporary return to Jonathon Island to assist her parents. But then she sees her old friend, Oliver Sullivan, who now co-owns the island bookstore and definitely needs some help! First of all, he is no longer Ollie! Oliver and Eliza join forces to organize a literary festival on the island. I enjoyed seeing them both learn to smile again! I received a complimentary e-book from the author and Sunrise Publishing. This was a cute story, but a little scattered. It felt like she was trying a little too hard to include everyone from other books, and there was a lot going on. The festival was a fun way for them to be thrown together, but some of their interactions were a bit forced, and their explanations of the ways they were influenced by their pasts were a bit heavy handed. I did like that Oliver warmed up and got involved in the community and that Eliza figured out what she was going to do with her life. And it led into the other stories well.

Then his sister designates Oliver and Eliza to be in charge of the Islands next festival. I highly recommend you read the book to see if Oliver will allow himself a second chance at love.
