Lights, Camera, Cowboy!

Rate this book
Sadie Murphy isn’t here for drama. She’s here to work.

Landing the job as lead special effects makeup artist on a big-budget supernatural western is the break she’s been chasing for years: a remote shoot in the Montana wilderness, a star-studded cast, and a real shot at proving herself in the industry.

There’s just one problem. The film’s star is Quentin Ramos.
Full-time Hollywood heartthrob, part-time cowboy, two-time Sexiest Man Alive... and the reason she almost gave up on the industry altogether.

Now Sadie’s stuck gluing prosthetic scars to his perfectly symmetrical face while pretending they don’t have enough unresolved tension to set the makeup trailer on fire. She’s here to stay professional and hold tight to her very well-earned grudge.

But Quentin isn’t sticking to the script. He’s thoughtful and surprisingly humble, the kind of man who delivers foals before sunrise and runs his family ranch between takes. And the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes for Sadie to remember why she ever swore she’d never forgive him.

The chemistry between them is undeniable. But falling for him might be the biggest plot twist of all.

Lights, Camera, Cowboy by @authornadinelong 🤠🩷

Book 3 in The Coast to Coast series and of course it made me emotional, that’s just how it is with these books 🤷🏻‍♀️ I love enemies to lovers and especially when one is completely oblivious to why they are hated!!! We had gotten glimpses of Sadie and Quentin in books 1 and 2 and they both had me so curious. I loved the settings in their story too, the movie set and filming was super cool. I highlighted so much of this book, just so many beautiful declarations of “I see you”, not in words but in actions. TO BE LOVED IS TO BE SEEN!!!!! Also I was 100000% not expecting Quentin freak nasty Ramos but omg he did not disappoint 👀 ok THE EPILOGUE!!!!! Again I’m crying my lil eyes out because it was the perfect ending and so beautiful to get that big wrap up. This series is the perfect blend of emotional and funny, each couple is so dynamic and their stories are just real and so easy to love. Lights, Camera, Cowboy is out now!!! Give it a read 🩷 thank you so much @authornadinelong for the chance to have an ARC to read and review early happy happy release! 😍💖

Thank you Nadine Long for the ARC!

Unfortunately, I had to DNF this book at page 50. The third person POV was completely throwing me off. Also, I felt like every sentence was so wordy with banter and wit that was I was constantly rereading to truly grasp what was going on. Don't get me wrong, I love banter and wit but when every sentence is a jab or a metaphor, it becomes too much and takes away from the story line. This book has great reviews so I truly hope it does well, it just wasn't for me.

✨️ARC Review ✨️

🌶 Rating: 3.25/5

Release date: February 25, 2026

Everything about Lights, Camera, Cowboy! was so amazingly cute and funny. Literally a rom-com.

I loved the tension that was already there between Quentin and Sadie. Man's literally had love at first sight (and probably during thag flashback too👀) for his fiery Roja. What I love most is that he never let her feel like she was too much, or tried to chain her down to him. She explained what she needed and he was there for her in an INSTANT
Also THE GROVELING!!!!!! Ive never read someone grovel so hard and I am so here for it !!!! 🤣 and the fact that he was aware he was going to grovel, and still did it. That is a man indeed 😌 AND a cowboy at that 🥵

The spicy scenes were definitely worth the read 😏, but what I loved most were their quite scenes. The more intimate ones where its just them, silence, and just THEM. Something they've both longed for and it was so amazing to watch them both unravel for each other during those moments 🌌

I did have just slight confusion sometimes on what was happening and who was talking (lol), but that was all on myself. (Thats what I get for trying to read fast 😅)
Overall, a solid book to read 🥰

Thank you so much to Nadine Long for the ARC of Lights, Camera, Cowboy! I absolutely loved this story! 🤠🎬💕

Everyone who knows me knows that I LOVE a cowboy MMC, and Quentin absolutely delivered. He was sweet, charming, and had a fantastic side of dirty talk that made him impossible not to swoon over. The cowboy energy was strong with this one and I ate up every second of it.

Sadie was such a badass heroine who truly marched to the beat of her own drum. She had her guard up for a while, but watching her slowly let those walls down was really special. Her growth throughout the story felt genuine and rewarding, and I loved seeing her and Quentin come together.

This book had so much humor, heart, and heat. I laughed, swooned, and at one point I even cried (which always means a book really got to me). The emotional moments hit just as well as the romantic ones.

The only small thing that tripped me up at first was the third-person POV, since I usually gravitate toward first person. But honestly, the story was so engaging that it didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all.

If you love enemies to lovers and cowboy romances with a sweet but spicy hero, a strong heroine, and a story full of heart, this one is definitely worth picking up. 🌵🔥

OBSESSED with Quentin Ramos. A hot, romantic cowboy is already at the top of my list. A hot, romantic cowboy that speaks Spanish?! It’s the sprinkles on the sundae I didn’t even know I was making. The nicknames, the pet names, they all sound so much sweeter in Spanish. I love that he thinks in Spanish when in SOS mode, because same. And like Quentin, the beach is not for me. *sighhhh* in another life, he’d be my dream guy.

I can commiserate with their grief, and felt it to my core when I read about grabbing a stranger and saying “Don’t you know the universe isn’t the same anymore?”. Sadie’s grief felt so familiar, like I could have written her words and feelings myself, like Nadine put everything I’ve felt on paper. I loved and hated it. By the time I read “I was full of love for someone who wasn’t here to receive it anymore. And I had no idea what to do with it”, I was sobbing.

The epilogue was beautiful, Cielo and Estrella could not be more fitting and beautiful names. I felt like I could see the scene playing clearly in front of me and the chaos was all-consuming in the best ways.

Loved this book so much more than I expected to, Nadine’s got a fan for life in me.

I love a good enemies to lovers, especially one packed with sharp banter and this one delivered.

Watching Sadie and Quentin go from unresolved tension to actually understanding each other was so satisfying. The chemistry? Off the charts.
What really got me though was them bonding over their losses, his sister and her best friend. Those quieter moments added so much depth and made their connection feel real, not just hot.
And speaking of hot… who knew two-stepping could be written like that? 🥵🔥
“That was foreplay with footwork.” EXCUSE ME?? Yes please. Loved all the side characters and seeing a glimpse of the ones from previous books.

Quentin & Edens friendship is elite, ust love it!

But beyond the tension and spice, this story had heart.
“Fall in love with the one who feels like coming home, not the one who keeps asking for directions.” That line will stay with me for a while.
And the names at the end? I was not prepared. I definitely teared up 🥺

3.5 stars!

I truly enjoyed the banter between Sadie and Quentin; their chemistry was sharp, witty, and genuinely laugh-out-loud funny. I audibly laughed at several scenes because of how quick they both were. Sadie especially gave me serious Lorelai Gilmore vibes: lovable, razor-sharp, fiercely independent, and impossible not to root for.

This is a sloooow burn, he-falls-first, enemies-to-lovers romance, and the tension definitely simmers. While the dialogue and character dynamics were top notch, the pacing felt uneven at times; some scenes flew by while others lingered longer than necessary. I think I would’ve rated it even higher if it had been a bit tighter.

Overall, though, it was a fun, witty read that delivered on banter and slow-burn tension.

Lights, Camera, Cowboy! by Nadine Long was such a fun, easy read! I loved the blend of small-town charm and behind-the-scenes film vibes—it gave the story a fresh twist on the classic cowboy romance.

The chemistry between the leads was strong right from the start, and I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop. The banter was playful, the tension was just right, and the setting added so much personality to the story. It had that cozy, feel-good energy while still delivering emotional depth when it mattered.

If you’re into cowboy romances with a little Hollywood flair, this one is definitely worth picking up. I’ll be continuing the series!

I received an ARC for Lights, Camera, Cowboy. I decided to start from the beginning. Im glad I did. I definitely recommend reading from the beginning you get alot of backstory.
This is Quentin and Sadie's story...
Quentin is an actor on set of his new movie
Sadie is a make up Artist.
Sadie has hated Quentin since a mistake he made years ago. When Quentin meets her again not recognizing her she gets even more mad. Quentin just wanted to know why she hated him he knew she told him they had meet before but he can't remember. Now they are working on the same movie.
This one was my favorite. I laughed so hard lol and there is no third act break up. I love these two. They were Perfect together.

I was seriously intrigued by the root cause behind Sadie’s hatred of Quentin. The build up to the big reveal was beautifully executed and when it happens, everything just clicks.

On a side note, I liked how their grief was handled here. It is not something that truly goes away, but indeed something we learn to live with as we find our own way to honor those who have left us.

Nadine does it again with an amazing book! She brings the heat in AND out of the bedroom. The banter is funny and sexy and HOT.

I love how perfect they are for one another. How well they truly understand each other. I would have liked to see a bit more of Quinton's home life. And a more of the immediate after.

If you're looking for your next spicy romance, look no further!

She's the free spirited redhead who stole Quentin's heart, he is the boy Sadie didn't know she needed. Behind the banter there were some very intimate scenes of closeness and emotional journey back to happiness.
You will like this story if you long for a romance with grief representation.
