Influential author and pastor Jared C. Wilson offers men a gospel-centered roadmap to the unique challenges and opportunities of their middle years—and how Christ's presence transforms a turbulent season into one of flourishing and fruitful purpose.
The midlife crisis has become so common it's now cliché—new cars, expensive hobbies, career changes, romantic affairs. But even for men avoiding these obvious pitfalls, this season brings unprecedented empty nests, aging parents, declining health, and the reality that time moves faster than ever.

Requested and read a Netgalley review copy before I realized it was a book written for men! I enjoyed reading it and my husband is reading it now, after I told him how encouraged I was reading how he’s done so well leading our family in these areas. Deeply thankful! We’re a little over the hill of middle age, and don’t have the typical empty nest as we care for disabled adult sons. So books like this don’t always hit the mark for me. But this new book by Jared Wilson includes his gospel centered, grace saturated perspective dealing with subjects such as the importance of the local church, aging bodies, career challenges, shifting family dynamics, identity, male friendships and loneliness. Highly recommended!
