Sarah’s childhood has been traumatizing. Her mother and Frank, her mother’s new pimp, expect her to take over her mother’s position in life as a prostitute but Sarah has different ideas.
The night her mother is murdered Sarah doesn’t wait around for the cops. She runs, thinking that living on the streets has to better than what she was going through in her mother’s apartment.
Sarah’s voice and uncanny ability to slammit on the guitar get her a spot in a band where she can play at clubs to make money to eat. Unfortunately, Frank discovers she is alive when she plays at a college event for extra cash. Now he plans to keep her on a tighter leash after making her pay for escaping him. At least those are his plans if he can catch her.
Frank gets a job as a bouncer at Time Out, the club where Sarah plays full time. She knows she will never be free of him. She needs to take care of him permanently and she has a plan.

While the book was more graphic than I am used to (not in a bad way where I didn't wanna read it) the book was action packed and very elaborate in the main character's emotions throughout. This author is awesome and I can't wait to read her next book!
