A significant information about nordic region about how Scandinavian development on the region over and over years.
The book is very much informative for the ones who is into scandinavian culture,customs and politics
however,
The book is contexting Finland a quite less comparing Norway,Sweden and Denmark. Additionally, Iceland shouldnt have been in content more. Despite of baltic states is baltic states, it would be worth it mention about them.
Recently I have visited Lithuania/Estonia/Latvia. In my opinion, Estonia is a scandinavian country and in geographical context, Lithuania and Latvia are situated significant position and influental status. In the book they are not mentioned at all. Maybe 4-5 sentences.

Serviceable overview of Scandinavian history, but dry.

knew nothing about any of scandanvia’s history really before reading so was very interesting. more into the modern than the ships etc ngl
