Asher The last thing I expect while scouting my family property is a tent or the little trespasser, who is standing between two majestic pines. Seeing me, she stops dead. Sure, I might be a little intimidating. Or maybe a lot. She should be scared—she’s camping where she doesn’t belong. What she shouldn’t do is run. Because when I catch her, I won’t let her go, and she’s going to be very sorry.
Emma Finally! After months of emails from my doctoral advisor, I received permission to finish my research on Gallant Mountain. Now I’m here for a few weeks to complete my study of the rare plants growing on the mountainside. Finding a grumpy giant of a man standing at my campsite is the last thing I expect. His expression is furious when our eyes meet, and it triggers my fight-or-flight response. Turning around, I race into the forest. I can’t hear him, but I know he’s chasing me. I’m not an athlete, just a plant nerd—a terrified one at that. Catching me is inevitable, but what will happen when he does?
Nothing like finishing the research for your doctorate a couple of weeks before your defense! If you can accept that, then you’ll have fun with Asher. This Gallant Mountain series is shaping up to be instalove on steroids, and Asher certainly goes from “I want her off my mountain” to “I want her by me always” at lightning speed!
Emma’s also surprisingly accepting of this, especially when she needs Asher’s care from an injury he inadvertently caused. But I struggled a bit with how everything she was doing for her doctorate fell to the wayside while she and Asher focused on one another. She somehow completed her research in about a day, which just seemed odd to me. I wished there had been more space between what happens in this book and the goal that Emma’s reaching for. There’s also an element in the bedroom that I struggled with considering Emma’s injury.
Asher is an appealing romance, even if it’s OTT in the speedy department!
I volunteered to read and review Asher . I really enjoyed this story it's full of instant attraction , dominant alpha men .It's definitely on the kink side but wow it is steamy . The characters are wonderful . Asher Gallant While out doing his own patrolling the mountain he comes across a trespasser at least he assumes she is . Asher doesn't believe she was given permission to be on the Gallant mountain . Emma is studying the sweet pitcher plant for her college dissertation she's been waiting a year for permission from the Gallants . When she's headed for her camp she hears a growl and finds herself running believing a bear is after her . When she trips and falls she soon sees it's not a bear but a sexy but crazed mountain man . Who carries her away to his home . Asher and Emma are a fantastic couple . I recommend taking the time to read .
Grouchy, billionaire, protector and Daddy Doninant meets shy, lonely and sassy nerd. The outcome, after he discovers she's not a trespasser? Insta-attraction. Asher is still trying to find his footing after recent revelations. Thinking he's found an unwanted intruder on Gallant Mountain, he pounces. Poor Emma never stood a chance. In atonement he becomes her caregiver, servant and oh so bossy man of her steamiest dreams. They fit like two puzzle pieces. But for how long? If he has his way...forever.
Asher is one of six brothers and this is his story book 2 he is patrolling the mountain and comes across Emma who thinks is trespassing on the mountain. Emma is there studying a plant for college and hears a loud noise thinks it is a bear and runs . and gets hurt Asher takes her to his cabin and vows to keep her forever this is a good story cant wait for the 3 book
ASHER BY LYN THOMAS Yes! I’m loving this series by Becca Jameson and Lyn Thomas! Asher is a true mountain man. He’s grumpy and troubled but when he meets Emma, a doctoral candidate camping on his land, she heals his heart. This is a quick insta love with quality spice! I recommend reading the series in order however if you just want to read Asher it can be read as a stand alone.
In Becca’s first book of this series I fell in love with Asher. His growly love for his brothers was endearing. Lyn did a wonderful job with the expectations I had about Asher or as Em would say Ashbear. First book I’ve read of hers and won’t be my last. Love this series so far!!
Asher has been dealing with guilt from his parents death for quite some time. When he stumbles upon Emma on their property she changes everything. She becomes the one person to help him overcome that guilt and start living again.
I'm loving this new series from Lyn Thomas and Becca Jameson! I wasn't excepting Asher to find his HEA so soon. He is definitely a grump-meister. Emma is he's perfect match but what a story to get there. A lot of laugh out moments. Shiitake mushrooms, IYKYK.
Fantastic Grumpy/Sunshine…..over the top alpha who finds his soul! I love love loved this book. I am so looking forward to seeing the next brother fall!
