Paws & promises is a sweet valentines romance centered around Maya, a young lady who runs an animal sanctuary, and Evan, a photographer. As both an animal lover and avid romance reader I was immediately drawn to the premise of this book. I loved how sweet the story was and how the characters grew through every interaction they had with each other. The story was adorable and I absolutely was rooting for them the whole time. However I did find the way time moved in the book a little hard to follow at times. Over all it was a very cute story and Pumpkin the golden retriever made me smile with his antics numerous times throughout the book. If you’re an animal lover and looking for a sweet romance read this one might be for you.
