Yes, Honey: Sexy Short Stories

Rate this book
Four sexy couples break stereotypes about committed sex to explore lust and love when the honeymoon is over.

While Laura and Max explore the boundaries of monogamy by sharing fantasies that involve others in State of the Union, Noa and Lauren learn the meaning of devotion and trust in Not Like Other Girls. In A Proper Lady, Nora unleashes her possessive side with Maddie, and in Teacher’s Pet Sara and Natalie engage in hot, dynamic role play.

Weaving intimacy and insight to showcase a range of passion, Yes, Honey proves that commitment is not the end of erotic adventure, but the beginning.

A scorching, indulgent collection you won’t want to miss

This collection of four short stories is everything you could want and more. Featuring established couples deeply in love, it delivers passion, connection, and spice that is seriously off the charts—you may very well need a cold shower before you’re through them all.

While these are shorter reads and therefore lighter on plot, what story there is is very well written and perfectly suited to the format. Each couple feels authentic and compelling, and I thoroughly enjoyed all four stories from start to finish. They’re fun, fiery, and incredibly satisfying.

Thank you, Claudia, for the opportunity to read this fantastic collection. I’m excited to see what comes next from your talented writing.

Thank you Netgallery and the publisher for this ARC.

It’s just pure smut, so if ur looking for that then you have definitely come to the right place.
There’s four short stories, I prefer the first one as there was some development in the beginning then we went in - the other three didn’t really do it for me.
It’s cute and quick, under 100 pages so I would recommend for like a quick read.

I didn’t like the second story that much bc it went straight into it, like I want to know the characters and who they are as a person (briefly at least). I get it’s a short story but we need something more haha.

The third story was similar to what I said above, but it just gets cut short at the end? Like it starts and boom it’s over? I get it’s a short story but it’s a story at the end of the day needing a beginning, middle and end and it felt like the story stopped in the middle.

Fourth story wasn’t too bad, but again it stopped abruptly in the middle, lacking development lol.

Overall, I say three stars is generous but I am generous to ARCs. I did have fun and I liked the characters so there’s that!

This was a lovely collection of short, steamy stories centred around breaking through shame and exploring sexual boundaries. I really enjoyed it but felt like the characters all blurred together and didn't feel very unique. If the author spent a little more time with the text and characters, I think I would feel a deeper connection to them. This one is great if you want something short, spicy, sapphic and sweet! I really love the cover illustration too <3

Yes, Honey is hot. It’s a dive into the intimacy of four couples who share and explore their fantasies. I very much enjoyed the fact that they were established couples.
Sometimes, couple longevity is associated with monotony and settling into boredom, but it’s nothing a little exploration and a little novelty can’t resolve.

Yes, Honey might be one of my shortest read, but it’s definitely one of the spiciest.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC of this book.

I really didn’t know what to expect from this book, but what I got was a pleasant surprise.

Yes, Honey gives you an inside look into the intimate relationships of four different couples. In each pairing, one partner tackles an internal struggle while the other simply accepts them for who they truly are, which was really beautiful.

It’s laced with this steamy spice that had me putting my Kindle down after each couple’s little... adventure.

Parr does an incredible job of showing the raw, true nature of established relationships and how, even after much time committed to each other, a partner sometimes still fights those inner voices telling them that their actions may break the delicate bond of their relationship.

And then shows you what happens when you reassure your person that you know who they are and still choose them.

This was a quick, easy read that I truly enjoyed and made me want to hug my handsome wife a little tighter.

Whooooeeeee, this was HOOOOT. 🥵 Four couples - four flaming hot chapters🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. It resonated with me that all four stories were about committed relationships exploring beyond the familiar and bolstering their connection to each other. Highly recommend for anyone in the mood for a short spicy sapphic read.

Thank you NetGallery for the eARC! 4.5 ⭐️

These short four stories explore a variety of erotic moments between sapphic couples. What I really appreciated about these stories specifically was how they do discuss kinks in a friendly and consensual way. Each story explains the importance of consent and mutual pleasure, and it’s really great because it’s queer. Definitely worth the quick read for some spicy and intimate moments.

Phew, this was some of the hottest erotica I’ve read, and to have it focus on established couples was such a delightful change in eroticas I’ve previously read.

Yes, Honey brings to life four different couples as they deal with intimacy challenges in their relationships, which is such an important perspective of romance that is often overlooked. It is incredibly validating as someone who is in a long-term relationship and has struggled at times to voice my own fantasies to my partner to read about fictional characters dealing with the same issues.

Honestly, the only thing I wished for by the end was more of each couple. I wanted to continue following their stories and learn how their lives were outside the bedroom.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me the chance to read this ARC for an honest review.

This book consists of four short stories, each focusing on a LGBTQ+ couple. The stories are completely standalone and each couple is already established and are looking to spice up their relationship. It looks at different fantasies and how each couple decide to play these out.

It was a really quick read but the stories did seem quite repetitive by the end, and I would have liked to have read a little more about the couples outside of the bedroom and their relationships as a whole.

thank you to netgalley and bold strokes books for providing me with this arc of claudia parr’s yes, honey

yes, honey explores four different LGBTQ+ (specifically lesbian) couples (laura and max, nora and maddie, noa and lauren, and sara and natalie) and how they manage to make the more intimate aspects of their lives work after their marriage honeymoons

i loved the concept of this! looking at four queer couples and how their intimate relationships thrive even after marriage is amazing and brings good representation. with the recent rise of spicy books where the main couples are straight, parr’s introduction of lesbian married couples brings out a much needed and refreshing lens. another thing i really liked was how, with noa and lauren’s story in particular, how an LGBTQ+ couple compares to a straight couple, and that both kinds of relationships can still thrive

the only thing i wished could’ve been implemented, and this is solely personal preference over anything parr has done with the book, is having an interconnected storyline, i.e. the four couples actually having interacted as opposed to four standalone stories

Yes, Honey is a 4 part short story collection of 4 WLW couples in longterm relationships. With majority of romance erotica being focused on new relationships, I found it refreshing to offer a glimpse into established partnershops.

I can't deny the stories are well written, and they deliver on what's promised. This is 4 stories of sapphic sex.
Unfortunately I only liked the 1st story and felt like some of them really toed the line into kink shaming, which is a shame for a book about female sexuality and featuring kink.

State of the Union - 4*

I really liked that story. Loved the communication between the women, how they can explore their fantasies while respecting and reaffirming their boundaries. It's a genuinely good story and I wish I had stopped there.

A Proper Lady - 2*

That one is partially on me. It was just too... wet for my liking. Wet is great, but the amount of description of fluid was almost turning sexy into icky, and I'm not really into the visual of spit after kisses. Again, that's a me problem, not a story problem.
The story itself though, while super sexy, I really didn't understand Nora and how put off she was with her desires. She likes to be rough with Maddie (who loves it) but from her inner monologue you would think she was into something so much more "condemnable". She wants to spank Maddie, make her ache and beg, try anal with her, but she's acting the same as if she was into blood play or intense boundage. Sure, her desires aren't super vanilla but the dychotomy between the acts and how guilty she feels about wanting them didn't really work for me. Maybe it would have in a novel where Nora and Maddie learn to accept themselves and their fantasies, but not in erotica.

Not Like Other Girls - 1*

I'm mad at that one. I almost DNFed it from page 2 and I wish I had. This one felt borderline kink shamy and completely crossed the line when Lauren is talking about and thinking about her "friend's" relationship. She's judgemental and I really didn't like the blurring of lines between a D/s relationship and domestic abuse. It's fine when Lauren want to give up control to Noa but heaven forbids her friend wants to give up control to her husband. Her friend being submissive and in a 24/7 power exchange doesn't make her stupid and a victim and less than. I really didn't appreciate how Lauren strongly implied that.
Also, what the fuck was that ending? I don't think the author understands how the D/s dynamic and how "punishment" works.
Was the scene hot? Yes, but everything around it made my blood boil so I can't say I appreciated any of it.

Teacher’s Pet - 3*

Fun little erotica. That one was closer to the 1st story in its exploration of fantasies and wasn't problematic. But again, why does Natalie have to feel a bit bad about loving being in power?

For a collection of erotic short stories, I'm really baffled by how bad the characters keep feeling about their desires. At different degree but still. If you're going to write kinky characters in an erotica collection of short stories, then own that.

Thank you to the Author and Publisher for allowing me to read this book as an ARC pre release read via NetGalley. I really appreciate it!

2.5 STARS

I'm going to start by saying this book fluctuated in writing ability I felt like the writing in the first short story was lacking however the more I read the better it got writing wise. In terms of plot all short stories are different with different characters and storylines which was great for keeping me entertained.

I did rate this book a 2.5 star star purely because something didn't quite stick with me, I was expecting the spice to really knock my socks of since it is an erotica but unfortunately it failed to do so. After reading some other reviews I can admit it's probably of no fault to the author, I am just used to jaw dropping spicy scenes.

This author did do a great job of making all the characters personalities different and even the more dominant characters weren't dominant in the same way which gave depth to each character.

Short story 1 - 2 star
Writing was underwhelming. The description of some scenes is lacking, considering this is a erotica I felt like Max and Laura really lacked sexual passion and chemistry.
The pronouns and description of Max was confusing for me as a reader because the adjective handsome and the use of male genitals to then use she/her pronouns is confusing. It makes sense the further I read but in the beginning it's not clear what Max identifies as.
There is a severe lack of fluidity between each scene and because of this, locations change rapidly with no prelude to the scene. Yes it's an erotica but it would be best if there was elements of romance it would help with the chemistry.
After finishing the first short story, it is still unclear what Max's sexual identity is which is a little disappointing.

Short story 2 - 2.5

Concerning.
The opening was intense in terms of Nora's desires however the follow through was lacking. I was expecting more jaw dropping scenes in this story.
It was lacking plot and backstory so the pacing was off.
Not much else to say but in terms of erotica it wasn't really erotic more like a long ongoing scene with some rough play. Maybe its a me issue but I felt like it wasn't that rough. It was more degrading than anything else.

Short story 3 - 2

It was ok it didn't appeal to me as erotic unfortunately but I did like that there was a lead up to the scene unlike the previous short story.

Short story 4 - 3

My favourite of the lot again not really erotic more narrating of a fantasy. But it was written ok and kept me engaged.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing us with an ARC of this book.

This collection of four spicy short stories was fun and as expected veeery steamy.
The writing was good, it was very descriptive without making everything icky.
In the four short stories we follow four different couples as they explore new fantasies and dynamics in the bedroom.

The first story, State of Union was my favorite out of the four. It was the most fleshed out as we get learn about their insecurities and fantasies leading up to the actual spice. It was fun and interesting and had a good pace and conclusion.

The second story A Proper Lady, went straight to the point and threw us right into a sex scene. I liked it but I wish there was more build up even though it is a short story. I just wanted to know more that would explain the dynamic between the two characters.

Not Like Other Girls, was the third and my least favorite story. The main character starts out by basically kink shaming and questioning the lifestyle of her friend but then, has the same tastes in the bedroom herself? The actual sex scene also felt very cut short.

The last story Teacher's Pet, was the most ''simple'' as in, it felt like what I would expect from a couples first time talking about and playing out their fantasies. The only complain is that this one also felt a bit cut short.

Since these are four very short erotic stories I guess you can't expect too much story, or much else than just smut which is what this essentially is. Overall I did have fun reading these though!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest, from-the-heart review.

If you’re wanting erotica that starts without build up of who or how the relationship came to be, this is the book for you.

My Rambling Thoughts:
This book wasn’t bad at all but it also wasn’t that great. The actual erotica portions are incredibly well written, however I feel like each story just stumbles onto each other. Basically, it’s a little hard to determine where one story ends and where the next begins. If it was a little slice of life of the same characters, I feel it would work a lot better.

What Worked:
The actual writing is fantastic. If this author took one of these couples and wrote their entire love story, I would feel like it would be a fantastic book.

What Didn’t Work:
The stories feeling like all the characters are the same. There’s a million different names out there but from one story to the next we had a Nora and then a Noa.

Emotional Impact:
Did I Cry? No
Did I Get Angry? No
Did I Run To My Wife And Tell Her To “Read This Now!”: No

This Book Is For:
People wanting well written erotica.

These are four short stories that explore kink and overcoming shame.

The author has a lot of interesting ideas that are present through plenty of spice.

With each of the beginnings I immediately had a clear picture of the interesting characters. The stories were well written. I had very many very vivid images in my head.
There were sometimes funny little moments and light-hearted conversations as well as deeper emotions. Of course those took up only a smaller portion of the book (in comparison to the spice).

The first story was really good. I loved the premise. And the conflict between the two wives immediately drew me in. Even for this story alone, it was worth reading the book.

However, I didn't like the other stories as much. They had more inner struggles than conflict between the MCs and very low stakes and less emotional impact. There were also interesting ideas but they just didn't manage to captivate me as much.

(3.5 Stars). Four unrelated short stories with couples who have been together a while. This is correctly labeled erotica, especially as one story jumps immediately into a scene without any lead in.

The first story, State of Union, was my favorite. I learned some things about the couple before spicy times began. They also manage to talk about how they feel after which I liked.

A Proper Lady, is the one that jumps right into action. If you like dirty talk this may work for you.

Not Like Other Girls, left me feeling mixed on the ending point.

Teacher’s Pet, has a couple actively talking and role playing one of their fantasy’s. I liked this one as well but it ended quickly.

If you like spicy scenes and a quick read, this book works. It includes dirty talk, straps, role playing and dominance.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an early copy of this book.

I read this pretty quickly and I think it’s a nice palate cleanser if you are looking for a quick, steamy read.

Yes, honey contains four sexy sapphic stories, all exploring different dynamics. In my opinion, the first story was the strongest, and by the last one I wasn’t that interested anymore.

There are a few grammatical errors and misuses of words (main one being unconscious instead of subconscious, which changes the meaning quite a bit when used in a sex scene). I can only hope that these issues will be resolved by the time the final book is released, as some of them really took me out of the story.

I respect what the author was trying to do, writing sapphic stories for sapphic readers in a way that doesnt try and appeal to men first. I am glad I read this, but am not sure i would rush to read other short stories by the author.

A big thank you to Claudia Parr, Bold Strokes, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. "Yes, Honey" is set to release on March 10th, 2026.

Four stories. Four couples-not new fresh relationships, but ones that have existed for a while. Monotomy may have set it, but for these four sapphic couples, spice is about to come back for them in a big beautiful way.

//

So much erotica is focused on hook-ups, fiery first meetings, or casual delights. This? This is a new take, a refreshing look at how to bring the intensity back into relationships that are already established, set, and standing the test of time. This is a unique look that I think should be explored more often. This is a spicy quatrain of dominance, submission, roleplay, teasing, and lots of gorgeous orgasms.

Zero complaints here.

Yes, Honey is a set of four short stories focusing on four different sapphic couples and a night of intimacy between each of them.

This was my first time reading erotica (I read a lot of romance where there is sex and intimacy, so not completely a first), and I really enjoyed these stories. Of the four, my favorite was the first, "State of the Union"; the dynamic between the two women was intense and I could feel the feelings the two had for each other easily. I also liked that the two were able to fulfill their fantasies without anything really changing in their relationship, which is really healthy in my opinion.

I enjoyed these sexy sapphic short stories. They reminded me more of the kind of audio erotica that has become popular rather than your typical short story. But that’s not a bad thing by any means, the spice was hot af.

I also liked the way they explored different types of sex & relationships within the confines of existing relationships. I feel like I read so many romance books where we don’t see what happens once there is an established relationship. So that was a change of pace that I appreciated!

I suspect I would’ve enjoyed stories 2-4 with more with a little more preamble to the sexy scenes because the first was my favourite by far. But that’s not to say I didn’t enjoy them as they were too :)

This book ended up being something way better than I had anticipated. Four short stories about established couples that love each other very much but want to spice up things a bit. They finally allow themselves to voice their most hidden fantasies and they get something very special together. All couples are described in such a loving way and yes, I got all hot and bothered reading about what played out between them. Just like it should be with sexy stories like this, so I am really happy I gave this book a chance.

This collection of 4 sapphic erotic stories is perfect if you want some quick spice. The stories all play within established relationships between 2 women. And it shows how in a relationship long or short you sometimes are searching to spice things up, to shake it a bit to keep the bond between you and your partner alive. That’s what keeps us going. But it also can come with insecurities and questions. But Parr makes it feel safe and healthy and always with respect for the other. I liked the first and the fourth story the most. The other 2 blended a bit more together.

The main thing I liked about these four short stories is that each one focuses on an established couple. The "honeymoon phase" of relationships is often what is exciting in sapphic romances. This book is a reminder that even after years of being together, couples can still have exciting sexy times. There was a variety of spiciness in this book, so hopefully readers will find something relatable and/or enjoyable like I did. It's also a quick read!

Yes, honey is pure smut sapphic smut and I’m not mad about it.

This is a super quick read that has 4 short chapters about 4 different couples. Each couple is well established and finding out new desires and trust within their relationships while in the bedroom.

This was a different read for me but I appreciated that while the stories were short I still felt connected to the characters in that brief moment.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this ARC.

This was a quick fun read that overall I enjoyed! I know they’re short stories but some of these did feel a little rushed and incomplete which did leave me a bit confused at times.

I will say in particular that the third story felt a little “shame-y” at times which I didn’t love. It’s rather judgemental and for stories about empowerment it just didn’t sit right with me.

Book is a vignette of 4 couples and each of their stories.

It's more like how each pair connect with each other thru different kinds of fantasies and sex. They have to unblock their own insecurities and be open to vulnerability so the connection can be deepen.

Each of the stories are short, there's not alot of plot to it. It's fluff but lovely to see who their insecurities play thru and come out on the other side stronger as a couple.

This was a nice, short read featuring four different couples. I appreciated that the couples were very different and engaged in various forms of passion. "Weaving intimacy and insight to showcase a range of passion, Yes, Honey proves that commitment is not the end of the erotic adventure, but the beginning." (p.1). You can read this quickly or savor it; I wish it had been longer with more character development. Be warned, this is quite spicy!
