Lincoln Delabar #2

Blank: Threads

Rate this book
8 years.

A lifetime.

For Lincoln Delabar, it had been a lifetime wasted. Time he could not regain no matter how badly he wanted.

The teenager he left behind was now a grown man. Older. Wiser. But a lesser man just the same. Something was missing from his life and it gnawed at him like a splinter in his mind.

He had to find her. And his life would not be whole until he did.

So, when a part of his past found him—a part that he never knew existed—he discovered what he’d been searching for had always been right there. Staring back at him like a Blank face.

What he discovered propelled him into a world that would change his life forever. The violence in him had surfaced again and threatened to rule him. He’d let it in. He had to. He could control it.

Or could he?

Hard to follow at times

Truly a great work of imagination, fear and suspense to see how it will end. The intrigue is a lot to follow and at times confusing.

Blank: Threads (A Lincoln Delabar Science Fiction Adventure Book 2)
by Richard C Hale

Lincoln Delabar AKA Blank is now a grown man, older wiser and trying to put his past behind him. But he still feels a void in his life and he can't feel at peace (with himself) until he finds her. When he does find the woman from his past he finds another surprise, one that may not be so bad.

Soon his whole life will change as he is pulled into another world, and his "anger issues" resurface. He must learn to control his violent tendencies to achieve what he is looking for. Born without a face is not easy for Blank, but he has learned to accept that. He is ready for what world throws him, but is the world ready for Blank?

A well written gripping and compelling story, with drama, action and edge of your seat suspense. I really like Blank, I loved him from the first book. Blank is a unique person with special abilities that make the story fun to read, yet so intense. I could not put it down. I was hooked from the first page. There is so much more I would love to say but I don't do spoilers.

I will say the story is very original, the characters are likable (some not so likable), the plot is intense, the writing is fantastic. I highly recommend Blank: Threads (great as a stand alone). I also suggest reading Blank, book one.Richard C Hale is one of my favorite Authors. Check out his books, he will become one of your favorites too.

Blank is a different kind of read about a young man without a face. Not only is Blank different in appearance but he also has powers beyond anyone's imagination. He can fly, move objects and people and read others' mind. This is book two which takes place eight years after when Blank is now a young man who is still trying to come to terms about love and loss. I don't want to give away too much if you haven't read book one. As in book one you will find adventure, action, and thrills that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Hold on and be prepared for the ride of your life with Blank!

Book two delves in other worlds or threads as the title states. Blank is able to move between these worlds where he comes face to face with other Blanks, some with faces and others faceless like him. He also meets the inhabitants of these worlds who range from horrible creatures to faceless people. In each world he sees his first love and his best friend who help him along the way to solve problems in these worlds and find a way to get back home.

This book is a creative addition to other fascinating books by this talented author, Richard C. Hale. I look forward to more adventures about Blank. I would highly recommend this and all books by this author.

Blank: Threads takes place 8 years after Blank ends. Linc is now a grownup and using is special skills to help pursue justice as a detective. In my opinion, he’s a bit of a rogue, in that he gets the job done though not always following official procedure. During his spare time, he’s out searching for that piece of himself he lost 8 years ago. Linc encounters others who have similar abilities to him Change is on the horizon and he’s not prepared for it.

Richard C Hale adds more sci/fi into this book with the new abilities the Linc acquires and introducing parallel worlds and dimensional travel. You meet new characters. Linc must learn to use and control the evil that is inside him in order to save those he loves. This one ends in yet another dramatic fashion and thank goodness I don’t have to wait for Blank: Apocalypse to come out. I cannot emphasize enough that you must start from the beginning in this trilogy.

Blank is a great character, growing up now, in the police force.
His power strengthening, his healing still going strong as well. His private life? Well...still confused with love & a surprise along the way, a lovely surprise.
Travelling, finding out what is going on, he comes across a shady character, but exactly who is this person? Love & family, a great part of this tale, showing strength & even more character.
I Really like Blank...that simple

BLANK: THREADS is the second book in the action packed Lincoln Delebar series. Picking up 8 years after the first book,  faceless hero Lincoln Delebar is a little older yet still finding his own special brand of trouble. Filled with action and emotion, Lincoln's adventurous quest for answers and bad guys won't disappoint. One of the big difference from book one is the change to more of a science fiction theme where book one had more of a paranormal feel.

Threads connect us together and Lincoln has found it's not just threads in our world that there are multiple layers and dimensions all tied together. Come find out which thread was pulled.

A Great Sequel

In this second Lincoln Delabar novel, author Richard C Hale shows us an adult Blanc and crosses into sci fi territory as Linc discovers parallel dimensions populated by alternate versions of himself and his loved ones. Exciting and action packed. A worthy successor.

Started off slow but then I couldn't put it down!

As Linc continues on his journey, he is caught up in another world or thread. Each time he enters a thread he creates a ripple which is my take on it. Quite the imagination, Mr. Hale!😉

Loved the first book, but when the second book started taking Linc through magic portals to other worlds---I struggled to enjoy the story. Finished it, but found that I "skimmed" a lot of it through disinterest. I will not be reading the third book.
