Most business books tell you to hustle harder. Kelli Lewis tells you the truth: somewhere between "just one more client" and "I will rest later," the work that once felt exciting started to feel heavy. If you have been there, this book will feel like someone finally put words to something you could not quite name.

Lewis draws on nearly two decades in accounting and operations to help founders fix what is breaking their business and burning them out. She does not just talk about feelings. She shows you, step by step, how to rebuild the way you run your company so it works in real life.

What makes this book stand out is that Kelli is not speaking from a whiteboard. She built a thriving firm from the ground up while raising two sons as a single mother, and her own journey through overwork and self-realignment fuels her mission to help business owners build companies that support their lives instead of consuming them.

The result is a book that is equal parts honest and actionable. Through real stories, clear frameworks, and grounded tools, it helps you clean up the back end of your business, reclaim your time, and create a company that supports the life you actually want to live. Highly recommended for any founder who has ever whispered, "I cannot keep doing this."

Wonderfull book!

I was pleasantly surprised at how much better this book was than I anticipated. I thought that "Entrepreneurs Anonymous" by Lewis would be nothing but a long boring book about business or self-help and instead ended up being much more laid-back and relatable. It really feels like you’re listening to others talk about their trials and tribulations and their little successes. I thought some of the stories really hit home while other stories had a less emotional impact.
Overall, though, each story keeps your attention and I think is a good easy read if you're looking for motivational material that does not feel heavy or too overwhelming! It's not very profound or changing; however, it does provide an alternative viewpoint of what it is actually like being an entrepreneur.

There are many people who want to become entrepreneurs, and some succeed. However, once they have a business that’s up and running, they may find that it swallows their life. They don’t know how to extricate themselves from what they have created, and they desperately want to, so they have the time to take part in and enjoy a variety of other activities again.

If you have gotten yourself into this situation, this is the book for you. It tells you how you can decide whether the company you created or you’re running has become harmful to your health, even if the business itself is thriving. You’ll also learn how you can keep the company on the right track and moving forward, even as you take a step back from it to achieve a better work-life balance.

The process of creating a business or starting a venture can often be exhausting and frustrating for the owner, but what happens once that business is up, running and thriving? Author Kelli, through real-life stories and case studies, helps us optimize the management of such a business. She also presents a 90-day model to regain focus, energy, and mental clarity.
I found this author's approach very interesting, since all the books I've read on the subject emphasize the creation of the company and not its maintenance. I recommend this compelling reading because of its content and because it has clear and concise explanations.

This is a well written book with clearly described methods to help entrepreneurs avoid being overworked and burnout. I would highly recommend to anyone who can relate. I received a Kindle version as part of a Goodreads giveaway, but as a small business owner found many great tips to help me in my work.
