Oh, this book is so much fun.
When a artist in residence is killed and crucified, DS Kat Ballantyne has a pretty tough case to crack. It seems there are quite a few people that had a reason to kill him.
This is the 7th book in the DS Kat Ballantyne series. I am new to the series and if this is any indication, then this series is a load of fun.
Now don’t read that this book is light-hearted. Quite the opposite. It is a gritty mystery that is so well written that you don’t want it to end. The characters are well developed and mystery is really good.
If you are like me and new to this series, give it a shot and then go back and catch up. It is well worth it.

i really enjoyed the story. its dark, mysterious, and police procedural. The story follows DS Kat Ballantyne as she investigates the murder of christopher piper, an artist in residence at a cathedral. The case becomes increasingly complicated as Kat encounters pressure from church authorities and her own superiors. a really twisty thriller. loved it.
