Jessica Wood writes contemporary romance.

While she has lived in countless cities throughout the U.S., her heart belongs to San Francisco. To her, there’s something seductively romantic about the Golden Gate Bridge, the steep rolling hills of the city streets, the cable cars, and the Victorian-style architecture.

She loves a strong, masculine man with a witty personality. While she is headstrong and extremely independent, she can’t resist a man who takes control of the relationship, both outside and inside of the bedroom.

She loves to travel internationally, and tries to plan a yearly trip abroad. She also loves to cook and bake, and—to the benefit of her friends—she loves to share. She also enjoys ceramics and being creative with her hands. She has a weakness for good (maybe bad) TV shows; she’s up-to-date on over 25 current shows, and no, that wasn’t a joke.

And it goes without saying, she loves books—they’re like old and dear friends who have always been there to make her laugh and make her cry.

The one thing she wished she had more of is time.

Idk what to even say about this series. After all the bullshit, lies, deceitfulness and utter stupidity Chloe and Jax got their head out of their asses and got their HEA.

That's about all I got

So I HATED the first and second book, so you may ask why I continued the series and that's easy because I can't not finish a series. I need to know what happens. With that being said I did not hate this one. I didn't love it either, but at least when it was over I didn't think omg this series is so fucken awful the editor should have told her to just stop. No, after this book I thought thank god I can move on with my life now. There is so much fucked up shit in this series that it's just too much. Jax and Chloe could have had a great love story, but that's not what this author gave them. She gave them a screwed up love story that makes you think why would you even continue on with this friendship or relationship. Do they get a happily ever after? Yes. Do you feel like it was worth all the bs? No. This screwed up story could have been in one book not drawn out in three to get more money off her readers. I would never recommend this series to anyone except in a omg you won't believe how bad this is kind of way. After this I will not be reading anything else from this author.

This book left me like

 photo 13652727_zpsvjrnognk.gif

Mistakes of their past had haunted them and when they finally met and put the past behind, Jax and Clo now are putting their lives back together.

"Both times I thought I'd lost you, life felt darker, dimmer, and incomplete because you weren't in my life." Jackson

"How can the way I feel be wrong if it makes me happy-if it makes you happy? How can loving the one person that means everything in my life-the one I've loved since I was eight years old be wrong?" Jackson

 photo tumblr_n7dlnvgP4z1tendedo1_500_zpsktyey61o.gif

The promise to get married when they reach 30 years finally is fulfilled. The promise to marry each other, best friends and lovers for eternity.

"'Just say yes.' I reached for her hand. 'I love you, Clo. When we were thirteen, we made a pact under the makeshift northern lights I created on your bedroom ceiling. I promised you that night that I'd marry you and be there for you. Now that I have you in my life, now that I know how happy I can be with you by my side, I realize that that promise isn't enough for me anymore. I promise you my now, my forever, and everything in between. Will you let me fulfill this promise to you and marry me?'" Jackson

First off, if you have read the book/series and reading this give yourself a pat on the back or a trophy or something for getting through this. If you haven't then... well... shut the book and give it on good will. Or make some beautiful book art with it. Or... just read it. I won't judge.

Why did I read this?

1. 'cause I was hoping they both die in the end. Yes, I'm cruel in judging... sometimes
2. It's short and can be read in one sitting (Which I didn't do. I just didn't have the patience)

Would I recommend this book to anyone?

That's a big fat NO

Now to talk about the story...

****SPOILER ALERT****(not exactly. Things are too predictable)

1. The events in this book happen way too fast.
2. I doubt that anyone who comes out of a coma could be energetic in a matter of seconds. And how did she manage to punch Jackson when surely her hands have needles going through them. She was in a coma for crying out loud.
3. I concluded that all characters in the book are stupid.
4. I found it hard to believe that Jackson and Chloe (calling them Jax and Clo will make it sound I liked the book) were 30. They acted like teenagers 95 percent of the time.
5. Surprise surprise... They get their HEA.
6. If I were to choose the best out of the trilogy. I would pick this. Kudos to that Jessica Wood. You have improved.

Now I'm gonna pat myself on the back and then go find myself a trophy.

I don't really know what to say for this book...It was really necessary??I think not...Author put the characters through extra unnecessary drama to have a third book...I liked the ending but it could have been put in the second book and end with it....

Forgiveness is me giving up my right to hurt you for hurting me.

Review by Lisa Kane

This is the final installment for the series. I’ve been both infuriated and perplexed over these books. In the first book I loved Jax and hated Chloe. In the second one, the reverse was true.

At the end of the last installment, Chloe found some letters that destroyed her heart and threatened her future with Jax. She was so distraught she raced out of her house and crashed her car.

Jax has no idea what happened that made Chloe react the way she did, but he is determined to get to the bottom of things. Will Chloe be able to open up and hurt him the way she has been hurt? How will the truth be revealed? Can these two ever escape the sins of the past in order to have a future?

Short read, like super short. It's more of a novella than a book but that was fine because she still tied everything up and put everything in there that needed to be included.

I'm not going to lie though, by the time I got to this 3rd book I felt like there was too much water under the bridge and I would have been ok with them just staying friends. I realize I'm in the minority and most would want them together and I was fine with the ending. I liked the conclusion and am so glad I read this series. I'm a happy camper.

If you are a semi-fast reader, you should be able to read all 3 books in 1 day so it's a nice little series for anyone wanting something short but good!

Jackson and Chloe have been friends for years, since they were seven and eight years old. That's a very long time. They have been through many different phases in their lives. When they were 13 they made a pact, if they weren't married by 30 they would get married. It has now been 17 years and Chloe is about to turn 30, but sadly Jackson and Chloe are no longer friends and he actually hates her for something that happened nine years ago....

This is book 3 in this series, if you haven't read Promise to Marry or Promise to Keep the rest of this review will contain spoilers. You've been warned!

At the end of Promise to keep we ended with Chloe finding letters in her aunts attic from Jacksons dad from Chloe's mom, making her think they were related which devastated her. She left her house in a hurry in tears not paying attention and ended up wrecking her car into the water.

“Please just wake up, Clo,” Jackson said, almost as if he were objecting to my last thought. “We’re supposed to be on our first date right now. We’re supposed to be happy right now.” I heard him sigh again, this time low and drawn out.

Jackson and Chloe are so perfect for each other, I was devastated when I found out they were related...how could this be possible? How could two people who are meant to be together just suddenly not be allowed to be together? It's just not right!

It just seems wrong that they have just finally found their way back to each other after not being friends for so long and now they have to figure out what happens next. They've loved each other for so many years and now suddenly they aren't allowed to anymore...where do they go from there? How do they remain in the friend zone? There has got to be some mistake, something so right shouldn't be wrong.

Will Jackson and Chloe get their Happily Ever After? Or will they have to figure out how to move on from the only love they have ever know?

Love

I was upset at the ending of book 2, but this OMG. I am in love. What a better way to end the book. How awesome. I live the characters. I love there story. Not everything is perfect but sometimes you just have a bump or two and then the happiness and love that is there comes out bigger and better. Yep one of my favorite stories.

Spoiler alert*****

I'm a sucker for happy endings...so I'm glad where it finished off. A little too much back and forth in this series.

2.5 STARS Finally done with this series and I couldn’t be more happy. The story line began very well, then when the characters began to develop over the story it was a sign I might have spoken too soon. Their interactions where sweet at first then just became annoying. I liked the fact that it had an HEA and a lot of the issues where finally resolved but getting there was the difficult part. They were very difficult to connect with I really wanted to love the whole best friends to lovers theme but it was hard to even like the main characters throughout the entire series. I only stuck through it because I can’t stand to leave a book or in this case series unfinished I kept my hopes up that it would get better but sadly it didn’t. This last book had a little more depth to it but not enough to make me love the series.

There were way too many complications in this book and the series. It felt like the author threw in every dilemma possible, including the kitchen sink. the prostitution, car accidents, lies, family relationship issues, drugs, death, and so just did not make the story feel authentic. I loved the characters just not the whole package.

Perfect almost end to a almost perfect story

This is the third book in the series. This series is absolutely awesome. I feel that it should be read in order. That is the only way to know what is going on. This one does not have the cliffhanger ending. But leave you with all things answered.

I really, really enjoyed this trilogy of one tale (Although I don't know why it was split into 3 books, other than to get more money out of me!) I loved the story line. I liked the characters. I liked the setting. My only gripe that it was very repetitive in places. But, other than that, I loved it.

Audiobook review - 3.5 thoroughly enjoyed this series stars....the trilogy was 3 short books combined read as a novel ...nd there were plenty of twists nd turns even though I saw them coming ...but the anticipation to read more was always there...can definitely read it again...maybe even give the 4th book a try. The writing was not that good ...it was only the storyline that kept it all together.

Love Should Always Be Forever!

I wanted to go on reading all 3 books in the series. Friendship and happiness should go on forever! I feel some of the bad language wasn't necessary...that was my only disappointment.

This is definitely the best one from the series. The story is such a rollercoaster ride but in the end I was really happy. And to hear there is another book as a standalone is great news!

Oww, the disgusting level has been brought to the sky.
This book has too much drama in it to be bearable, no beautiful love story here, no empathy possible, I am so glad that it is over.
