The Florist: An Audible Bedtime Story

Audible's Bedtime Stories are designed to let you drift off with no nagging feeling that you need to listen through to the end. Their purpose is to let you slowly fall into peaceful, restful sleep.

Spend a peaceful morning in a flower shop, where sunlight warms the petals and the air is sweet with blooms. As the florist trims stems, arranges bouquets, and ties ribbon with quiet care, they reflect on the gentle language of flowers and the joy of brightening someone’s day.

The Florist was a lovely little listen and worked really well as an Audible Bedtime Story. It has a gentle, soothing quality to it that makes it perfect for winding down at the end of the day.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the simplicity of the storytelling. It isn't something particularly complex or dramatic, but I don't think it needs to be. The slower pace and calming narration are very much part of its charm, and I found it easy to relax and just let the story wash over me.

It didn't quite have enough depth or emotional impact for me to give it the full five stars, but for what it sets out to be, it does a really good job. Short, comforting and pleasantly escapist.

A sweet and relaxing listen that I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for something gentle before bed.

I actually loved this. It’s the perfect bedtime story. Honestly, nothing much happens. It’s more a “day in the life” tale in a small florists shop. It was a great reminder to take things slowly, enjoy silence and do things not for others to see, not for praise, but just for oneself.
I did fall asleep only a short time into it, but I was enjoying it so much that I listened to the rest of it this morning when I got up.
I especially loved the descriptions of all the flowers along with their common and scientific names. Kudos to Stephanie Hsu for all the correct pronunciations!
Can recommend but only if you are in serious wind-down mode as it’s slowly read, almost like a guided meditation and I found it very relaxing.
