3.75⭐️ I swear this book had so much potential! It’s not normal that the last book in the series doesn’t hit the same. I felt like there were so many directions the author wanted to take us but was not flushed out.
Did I miss books about The Banks Fam as a whole? Or was this book a set up for the brothers to each have a book? I felt like I missed serious storylines about them.
The editing in a 3rd book is really a bit unacceptable. From repeated sentences to typos of names. It just really took from fully enjoying the story.
Now I was anticipating this story and did not start the series until III came out and I’m happy b/c I would’ve been pissed had I had to wait for this.
In saying all that. I loved Prime & Z! I loved his unapologetic stance on “handling” it! Z worked my nerves b/c I cannot stand secrets and shit could’ve been “handled” sooner than later! Lol. Yusef was my heart. Mehar, that girl is a whole survivor.
The scenes in LA were cool; b/c I love reading about my home so I can see if folks “get it right”
The ending brought things back, but I was kind of done with Zainab after the Yusef incident and the Thad stuff. She couldn't let Yusef wait one more day to go to the mall? On top of that, when she got the text, she literally called everyone BUT him. The Thad stuff literally made no sense at all. The same way she told Prime to hold off because she wanted in, she could have done that from the door. WHY would she let that man roam free around her sister and nephew, especially since she didn't know the details of the hit?? What proof did she need with Prime other than her two eyes? Come on. Her explanation was wack! Camille and Prime trying to comfort her telling her it wasn't her fault. YES, IT WAS!! Also, how many times does Prime have to prove that he would move heaven and earth for her? How many times does he have to come through?? She just kept creating messes that were avoidable. She promised that man no more secrets. Like good lawd!! She really disappointed me and I was pretty much done with her but Prime loves her so much I couldn't write her off entirely. The ending was nice. Prime deserves every happiness. That man is a true ride or die.
Quest/Mehar - I mean, I guess. I thought if someone was going to have a connection it would more be her and Justice. I possibly wanted Quest with LaLa when she's out, so she could be part of the family. If Quest and Mehar get a book, I'll see. If Quest allows her to dominate him in any way shape or form past her initial comfort, I'm out. Lots more story to tell with Quest. And I still feel we're leading up to Mehar being some kind of hitwoman which...meh.
Camille was disappointing, sigh. I had such high hopes for her. Her situation was another one that didn't make sense. And I really could have done without Grandma Rita bringing that daggone rose up all the time. Lady, stop lol. She made up for it with that scene with Rashid though. That was awesome!
I loved Yusef's progress, but he still hasn't talked about what happened to him. Maybe in a future book? And after causing all that drama, Zainab never once mentioned/went to see/exacted any revenge on Thad. She didn't even think of him when Prime asked her if she was happy. Soo..also, maybe in a future book?
Farah...sigh. Let's hope that wasn't a mistake.
Serenity continues to be a hot mess and if she gets a book, I will be skipping that. Sorry.
Prime III: The Banks Empire continues the drama from the previous book and drops readers straight back into the complicated world of the Banks family. If you enjoy stories filled with secrets, power struggles, and characters who constantly make you question their decisions, this book definitely delivers.
The characters are one of the most entertaining parts of the story. Everyone is intense, emotional, and fully committed to whatever chaos they’re involved in especially Prentice (Prime). Whether it’s loyalty, love, or revenge, nobody in this book does anything halfway.
The pacing keeps things moving, and just when you think things might calm down, another twist shows up. There were definitely moments where I had to pause and wonder why certain characters—Zia in particular would make choices that seemed guaranteed to land them right back in trouble.
Overall, the story blends family loyalty, ambition, and plenty of drama. The Banks family proves that sometimes the people closest to you can also create the biggest problems. If you enjoy fast-paced stories with strong personalities and lots of tension, this one is an entertaining ride.
The conclusion of the Prime series effectively tied up the loose ends related to Prime and Zainab’s direct storyline. However, there were noticeable editing issues that should have been addressed prior to publishing. For example, the author repeated a sentence unnecessarily, and there was a descriptive inconsistency regarding the nephew Yousef’s age, along with a few other minor errors. These oversights disrupted the overall reading experience.
Although I am interested in continuing with the next book centered on the Banks family, *Quest*, I am not invested in the anticipated love interest between Quest and Mehar. The author strongly implied this pairing at the end of the book by presenting a scene reminiscent of the wedding reveal in The Best Man—which felt predictable and somewhat forced. Additionally, the obvious age gap between Quest and Mehar makes their potential relationship unappealing to me as a reader.
Action packed! Drama intensive. And a love story!.Definitely a Happy ending for one brother and a budding adventure for the next. I gotta say Zainab really annoyed me with her faulty plans. B
This was a beautiful ending! It didn’t feel rushed at all! N’Dia Rae set the right pace for every Prime book. Zainab and Prime went through hell on earth, but baby, that Prime Banks don’t play bout his family. 🥰Especially the one he got to choose for himself. 💯 My highlights of Prime affirming and speaking life into Zainab is my absolute favorite! 🙌🏾How he takes immediate parental responsibility for Yusef without a second thought 😩 I love that man, I do!!!!
Now, I went ahead and got my own hopes high off of a possible new storyline for Mehar and Quest!! Ms. N’Dia Rae, 😇 I’ll kindly take a nice lil 200,250,300 sumn page book about them getting together 🤗 idk if you’re working on it or if it’s even a tab in your drafts. But honey, I need dat 😩🥹 real bad!! He needs a honest woman who won’t play games, and she needs to experience real unconditional love and happiness outside of what she provides for herself. They are that plus some for each other 🥰🤞🏾
Side-side notes: I don’t know if Farrah’s story ended how I liked…I mean, I accept it lol but miss thang was the President of Delulu country. Her still being out there & free just don’t sit well in my soul 🫣. Thad was written how [unfortunately] some men are in the real world. 😤 I wanted his ⚽️🏀’s cut off for all the f’ckery he did and caused! Vivica, Vivica, Vivica. 😬[deep sigh]. Oh, and what bomb drop, finding out about her and ol dude! Maybe Quest can dive a little deeper into that, in his and Mehar’s book 😏Eh?! See what I did there Ms. N’Dia Rae? (😩I really want that book to happen y’all 🥹😂)
But overall, that’s just good writing, and N’Dia Rae wrote a hell of a storyline here 🔥✍🏾😮💨 This book series gets a 9/10 ⭐️ rating from me!
I’ll be honest — Book One was a little annoying for me. It felt like a lot of buildup, and I wasn’t fully locked in at first. But Book Two? Absolutely amazing. And Book Three delivered just as strongly.
I loved the lengths Prime went to in order to protect and provide for his family. His loyalty and strategic mindset really stood out, and it was powerful to see how far he was willing to go to make sure they were safe.
Vivica deserved everything she got — and so did Thad. Their outcomes felt justified and necessary for the story’s progression.
One of my favorite character developments was Mehar finding her power. After everything she endured, watching her reclaim herself and step into her strength was incredibly satisfying. It was also heartwarming to see Yusef begin to embrace being a kid again after everything he experienced — especially the torture and trauma. That healing felt meaningful.
Between the Banks brothers, Creed, Riot, and Cannon, they are truly a force to be reckoned with. Their collective collaboration was exactly what was needed to make all the pieces fall into place and protect their family. The unity, strategy, and loyalty within that group elevated the entire storyline.
I would absolutely love to see Justice, Quest, and Serenity find their forever as well. There are clearly more secrets waiting to come to light within this family, and I’m definitely staying tuned for what’s next.
It has taken a LOT to get to this point. And I mean that. These characters have had drama, betrayal, and just plain old chaos coming at them from every direction imaginable. Every time I thought they were about to catch a break? Nope. Here comes another storm.
And through it all, Prime has been carrying the weight. This man has been carrying everything on his shoulders, and by the time we get to Book 3, it’s clear that he’s not going to stop until every single threat to his family is eliminated. Not managed. Eliminated. Period. We all remember how Book 2 left us hanging, so to step into this finale was to prepare for impact.
There has been so much going on that I honestly don’t know how Prime and Zainab have managed to survive it all and still hold on to their love. But they do. And that’s what makes it so powerful. Through all the violence, secrets, and scheming, their love remains intact. Prime is completely and utterly focused on protecting his woman, his children, and everyone they love. And when he sets his mind to something? It’s done. Period. No hesitation.
Now let’s talk about Mehar for a second because… whew. Is this really who life has shaped her into? She’s been through more than enough, and I truly believe we haven’t seen the last of what she’s capable of. There’s a force building there and I cannot wait to see it all!
This trilogy is intense. There are a lot of moving pieces, a lot of players, and a lot to keep up with but if you like high stakes, powerful men, layered women, and a love story fighting to survive in the middle of chaos?
Start this series. Just buckle up first. And don’t expect peace. 😮💨🔥📚
I love N’dias writing , how she leaves no tables unturned. She makes sure there are no loose ends!
WHEWW this story was so fun lol , I really enjoyed it but it was sooo stressful I mean this book there was like 4 pages of peace lmaooo.
Zanab I have a love hate relationship with this lady . She HAD to be strong and step up but also I feel she didn’t listen to anybody … at ALL. Like sista look where doing stuff yourself got you! I support women’s rights AND wrongs so imma let her breathe bc she’s just a girl who misses her twin 💔.
Prime prime prime , when I tell you every book he just got better??? I cant believe it. I mean when you talk about a MAN making sure his was good. THINK OF PRIME.
It was a lot going and a lot of point of views , but everybody was loyal. Like this family don’t play.
This book is an emotional rollercoaster , I’m not used to reading books where the fmc is the problem LMAOOO. But like I said , she did what she thought was right .
This series deserved soooo much more than 5 stars!!!… Quest is WHOLE HOT MESS and I love how light hearted he was, even when things were serious!!!… I was happy Vivica finally got what she had coming, because her arrogance was way too much for her boots!!!… Prime and Zainab was such an imperfect perfectly made couple!!!… Yusef, tugged my heartstrings every single time he spk and was mentioned!!!…I was so happy to see him come out his shell because his heart was so pure and big!!!… Camille, where is she with the baby!!!…I bet she didn’t cheat on Quest and he just didn’t give her time to respond to his accusations!!!… I love me some Grandma Rita!!!…You can tell she put a whole lot of her personality in Quest!!!… Mehar came from sheltered to a beast in her own way and I love that for her!!!…I love how she’s handling Thad though!!!…Babyyyyy, she said you wanna act like an animal, imma treat you like one!!!…
I have a love/ hate relationship with this author. books and story lines are GOOD but waaay too long. after a 3 book series that were 400+ pages each EVERYTHING should be tied up at the end and I shouldn't have any questions. I would've liked Yusuf to have a moment talking to his family about what happened to his father. that was main reason he went silent and that part was rushed and looked over. plus the whole thing about the man who killed her sister seemed like a plot hole m itv made no sense. she said she kept her life a secret and the people she worked with didn't know about her life or sister but he was able to send someone to find her before she even made it home? but somehow didn't recognize her? should've spent more time on the plot and less time repeating the same things OVER AND OVER. and if the love interesr is who I think it is in Quests book I'm skipping it. I can't stand her😭
I just finished Prime III: The Bank Empire by N'Dia Rae (read all three books) and wow, so much drama and trauma. It eventually leads to a happy ending, but I’m absolutely exhausted from the ride. The book’s tone and recurring moments wore on me, and I found myself skipping pages just to reach the conclusion.
By the end, the author teased a new story about Quest, the eldest Banks brother, and Meher Ali, with lots of unresolved family business still brewing. I’m sure it will be full of drama, but I’m not sure I’ll dive in right away. I fear some Prime I-III repetition, which would probably frustrate me again, so I’m planning a break from this author. I might explore a new writer or revisit a favorite author’s catalog for something I haven’t read yet.
Overall, this book earned 1.5 stars for me. I’m glad it’s over. What did you think of the series?
Prime doesn’t play about his family. That’s really the only thing you need to know. Seeing him soften was not what I expected but it was perfect. His growth was so evident in this book. The way he poured into that family and spoke life into Zai, top tier man.
The jail scene was so beautifully written, I got emotional. I hated it and loved it in the best way. Zai was a strong woman. She had been through so much and while I didn’t see much growth in her, I was rooting for her the whole way.
I wonder what is going to happen with Serenity. And honestly, I hope she pulls it together. Meanwhile, I just could not get into Mehar. I hope I get the chance to learn more about her so that maybe her character can reel me in.
I am super interested in Quest and wonder what his journey will be like. He seemed to lose so much in this book.
This one was intense, but it definitely tested me at times. Everything came together and the stakes were high, but some of the decisions, especially Mehar’s, had me side-eyeing the entire time. Watching her realize too late that she didn’t really know who she was dealing with was frustrating.
Zainab finally telling the truth was a relief because the secrets were getting out of control. Her storyline, especially having her babies while locked up, was heavy.
Farah telling the truth shifted things for me. I still don’t like her, but what happened to her was serious.
Yusef continues to break my heart. The fact that he still hasn’t told them what really happened with his father says a lot about what he’s carrying.
Overall, I was invested the entire time, but it didn’t hit the same as book two for me.

I enjoyed this series for the most part. Prime can definitely talk you thru it 😉. There was a lot of drama and obstacles for them to get their HEA. However, the inconsistencies and typos in this book were peeling my nerves. The talk about Zainab's tan line on her engagement finger made no sense. The damn ring had only been on her finger a good 30 seconds before she was arrested. So how was there a tan line? When they mentioned Vivica and her assistant, Prime found his mother giving Vivica the business, not vice versa. I was surprised there wasn't a POV from Vivica after her arrest. Also, I felt some type of way about Z and Prime not including Yusef in the photos at the end. Overall good story. I wasn't sure if I wanted to read about anyone else from this family, but Quest & Mehar have me intrigued.
OMFG.....this series/book is the bomb dot com! I love all things Prentice "Prime" Banks. This series is definitely in my top five.
Prime ain't no joke. You mess with his, it ain't gone end well for you! He took care of everyone that caused Zainab grief and pain. And Mehar, whew Chile, a force. Can't wait to find out what's up with her and Quest. I was thinking it was going to be her and Justice, but nope.
I don't want to give away too much, but just know that Vivica, Rashid, Thad, Kasim, India got what they deserved. Farah is still questionable. I believe Prime let her off too easy. We shall see. I feel like she is going to resurface.
Anyway, read this series. You will not be disappointed.
My new book boyfriend’s PRIME & Quest. My favorite read this year. I love a long book that is interesting from beginning to end. This book made me happy, sad, Laugh (Quest talking about the twins they got a Benjamin Button thing going on. They looking like they already pay taxes. Like they got strong opinions about the economy and the state of the housing market), cry and think. The storyline and writing ate. Secrets were just blowing up💥💥💥 one after the other and PRIME & Quest were knocking them out back to back. With all they were doing for Z, she still couldn’t be honest with PRIME. I’m glad they had peace in the end. Can’t wait to read Quest story.
YES!! i absoluteli love this endin, z and yu been through ALOT! Prime bein HIM! and his brothers standin ten toes dwn handled all threats. Aww...kheri and idris, them guards was horrible shout out to lala she did tht! 👏🏾, i couldn't stop readin, vivica got her day wit her evil self, tht farah didn't knw when to stop, Z survival mode was strong! Mehar is nw a whole nother person. Thad was so wrong but he's findin out not to play wit women whom he thought was weak 🤷🏾♀️, he would of made a good man hd it been real🤦🏾♀️ he was everythin mehar needed but played the role🤦🏾♀️, but...i peeped her and quest at the reception 🤔... We gon find out lol, sereniti hope she realli got it together, we gon c. 🫵🏾Did tht! ✍🏾🔥! Never a dull moment! 👏🏾
Let me tell you, this series had me in a choke hold.when I started the first book and it ended like it did. I was like”man I know this book didn’t end like this!”😂 i could hardly wait to get home from work to read the second book in the series.I don’t do roller coasters but when I tell you, by the time I finished this book I felt like I had been one of the most twisted roller coasters ever. Every page , every chapter had me on the edge of my seat. Prime was not one to mess with. He gave a whole new meaning to “What you won’t do for Love” If you love a good urban romance. Then this is the series for you.
Prime and Zainab have been through so much. Just when you think things are going to be ok for a little while... BAM... something else happens. I had to step away a few times because Zainab was working my nerves. Mehar is transforming into someone more than a survivor. You want her to thrive but also want her to pump the breaks a little. Quest is laugh out loud, hilarious. Vivica is ruthless. She uses and tries to destroy everyone. Also, did I miss Yucef telling them what happened in the basement? Was it implied that he revealed that? I'm ready for Book 4 now. Come on Quest!!
The editing and the mistakes!!! The 1st two books had lots of errors this book the same, she needs a more experience team behind her writing. The reputation of sentences wrong events from the previous books were just wrong. One prat that really annoyed me was she had the nephews location why didnt she check it? After everything she has been through why didnt she think rationally. Call Mehar's phone to see if it was real. This was just one part of the book that I really couldnt get over. I kept reading because I needed to see how she ended it. However based off the many mistakes I cannot rate this a 5 not even a 4 star.

Oh my goodness this book was so good when I tell you these Banks Men don't play they don't plat, Prime was a beast and he knew it and will hurt you about his Family. Thad was crazy and doing some crazy stuff and the nerve to be crying....... Camille knew better than try to trap Quest he don't want any kids, Mayor Banks you got what you deserved. Quest and Mehar that book is going to be on and popping and I bet it's going to come out about his real father..... Can't Wait😀😀😀
There is nothing more I need from this story, and that is the mark of excellent storytelling. No stone was left unturned; N'Dia Rae gave us a clear beginning and a truly complete ending. The men in this series protected, provided, and proved that the women in their world were indeed a priority. They even extended grace to women who didn't deserve it. Most importantly, the brothers showed up for each other—blending families and growing legacies. A highly recommended read! 💛💚💜💐
This was one of the best stories I've read in a long time! It was really heartbreaking how Vivica treated Prime her own baby boy! I loved Primes and Zainaps love story! I have to say I hated how Prime cut off Farrahs ear, she didn't deserve that! Yes, she was a casualty but, he once looked at her as a Lil sister, he didn't have to disfigured her. I'm glad Vivica got what she deserved as well as Thad! Quest and Mehar i think he's too old for her, she needs someone her age. Doesn't seem right her husband was an old man. All in all I loved it!
Absolutely loved this for Prime. He deserved to finally find a live that was genuine and true. But I know Vivica trifling, sad behind not gonna stay in that jail forever!!!! And who’s going to tell Quest about his real father? And will that affect him in any way. Would love to see Mehar and Quest get together and do some jobs together as well and see how their live story plays out. Will Farah attempt to come back? Will Justice ever find love again and be happy?
