BY NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR HM WARD

Money. Power. Sex.

This can't be happening. Maybe storming off to the club and getting sloshed was a bad idea, but I couldn't handle all that's happened. Forget for a while, that's all I wanted. After dancing with the wrong guy all night I planned on forgetting everything troubling me while rolling around in his bed. The problem is the guy is Pete Ferro and I'm me. It's a horrible plan to get all sinful and sweaty with him, but it's exactly what I need. One night with no connections, no worries, and a guy who isn't after my money or my family.

Screw it. I'm going to get lucky.

What can I say without giving away any spoilers??...Ha-ha I’m going to try peeps.
This is a MUST read book. Honestly one of Holly’s best works! I admit I am a super fan but I did not see this plot coming. It was just brilliant!
So we already know that naught ex-boyfriend Anthony, has a cat fetish. Hehe…so gross. What I did not expect was Regina’s jerkface dad, Reginald, taking his side. I mean really. Shouldn’t father’s be protective of their little girls? At least take family over a colleague. But no, he defends Anthony’s actions while blaming the entire encounter on Gina! Who the hell does that? Crazy people, that’s who. Poor girl needs to put on her big girl panties and put her foot down. No more letting her father walk all over her. It’s sad how he belittles her.
Meanwhile Gina and Pete or should I say Jenny and Pete lol, put some spice in their relationship. They’ve been dancing around one another far too long. Things get hot and heavy and wow I need a fan. Their encounters are always hot and entertaining. I love the chemistry with these two.
And last but certainly not least, Constance Ferro. Well let’s just say this woman knows how to run a business. She sees what she wants and takes it. Totally cut-throat. I admire her, really. She’s good at what she does.
Don’t miss out. Get it, read it, love it!!

This book...what can I say other than WOW!!! I like to think with as much as I read, that I can see things coming, I have an idea as to where things are gonna go, and honestly, that never bothers me, it doesn't stop me from reading a series just cause I think I know where it is most likely going, BUT, Holly gets me every freaking time!! In all the stories of hers I have read, I did not see this at all. This one was different. I liked the interaction with Gina & Pete, I loved there being much more Pete, I loved the banter back & forth between them. I have so much more to say but I don't want to give any spoilers, lol. I am so angry at Gina's dad, and Cat Man, and I go back & forth with Gina's mom. I am ready for Gina to tell em all to go to hell, lol. Constance, she is the one you love to hate...I loathe her, but damn is she awesome!!! Love seeing her in the story. I am so in love with Gina & Pete, though I am dying for the next step, I often find myself liking her more than Sydney...interesting thoughts as to where this story is heading for Miss Gina & Pete, especially now with the cliffhanger...part 6 cannot come soon enough.

This book was great, I love Pete even though there were many times in this book I wanted to punch him. There were also times in this book that I wanted to scream at Gina, tell your father to shut up, to tell him no you won't just overlook what Anthony did, I did not understand why she did not put her foot down and move out if she had to. I love the soft moments between them, when he placed his hands on her cheeks and brushed her cheekbones, so soft and loving. It is so sweet him holding her, running his fingers through her hair, of course this is the Pete we know and love even though he rarely showed it during this time frame. Then the funny moments between them, I laughed when he commented about her "twin towers of wantonness" and she says "Gentlemen do not comment on when the ladies are cold!" then he calls them "hypnotic high beams". Then her saying "Well aren't we cocky?" and he says "Perhaps, but you're the one who keeps talking cock, not me. You mentioned it twice already, peacock and cocky. I think you have a fixation, Miss Granz." Then she said "I think you have a bird phobia, Mr. Ferro." As soon as I read that all I could think about was Mr. Turkey lol. Of course there were the moments when we got to see the feisty side of Gina, it was great when she threw her heels at the door right next to his head, demanding an explanation, why was he walking away from her again, and when she look at Anthony and told him to "Go cough up a furball." Then when Gina is going to give him his jacket back he tells her "Keep it, I kinda like it on you. It makes you look like the tough little chick I know you really are." Then the shocker happens when Mrs. Ferro shows up at Gina's parents house, I am not saying anymore about that except "WOW"

Holy crap. Gina's life has taken a turn for the bat shit crazy. After being cheated on by Anthony she confronts her parents and him about it and lets just say it doesn't go like I thought it would. I imagined her dad as the kind of guy who would crush a man for being doing that. It was the complete opposite! He basically told them they were now engaged and boys will be boys! Are you kidding me! OMG! After the day that Gina had with Pete I was feeling pretty good but, after that I was so angry! By the end it Gina goes from one forced situation to another. Mrs. Ferro has a lot of balls to do what she did. Will Gina be able to live with herself?

I loved that Pete and Gina finally got a regular day together. Surprisingly it didn't go straight to sex and regret. They were like normal people getting to know each other. When Pete dropped her off at her house in front of her parents and Anthony I was like HA! Take that! I really wanted Gina to just kick Anthony in the balls a few times. Although the cat comments were quite awesome!

What do I want to happen? I want Gina to have some control of her own life. the situation at the end of the book, in my opinion, is a little better then the previous situation. Not great because she still doesn't get to have her own life but, better. Her story is beginning to make more and more sense the more we see. Volume 6 should be seriously intense! Bring it on.

***I received this book as an ARC for an honest review**

Sexiness, betrayal & blackmail all rolled into one!! I didn't think this story could get any hotter! Finally Gina is coming into her own & it's Pete she wants...desperately!! Who wouldn't!!
After being betrayed by her boyfriend, Gina has had enough of always playing the perfect daughter/girlfriend role. She just wants to be herself. The only person who seems to see who she really is, is Pete.
Once again, it is Pete who takes care of Gina. The push and pull between them is so amazing!! We are seeing a different Pete. A protective Pete over Gina.
However mother dearest has other ideas. The queen of all things evil, Mrs. Ferro comes in and gives Gina's father all the evidence from the fire. The same time Gina is blown away by this evidence. At the same time, Mrs. Ferro also informs everyone, including Pete of what is going to happen!!
It's an OMG! Holly throws in the best blackmail ever!! I can't wait for the next story!!!

I received an ARC of Life Before Damaged Vol 5 by H.M.Ward for my honest review.
WHAT?! The ending is… Oh My God! Seriously, I never ever expected that to happen! Jeez!
If you are reading the Life Before Damage series you won’t want to miss this one! You need to read it ASAP! The ending will have you shocked! I can’t believe that is happening!
Moving on… I didn’t expect Gina to be so awesome when I first started reading Life Before Damaged. I love her and I think she is one of my favourite characters. She is so funny I love the things she comes out with. At the start of this volume I did feel sorry for her and it had a tear in my eye when she opened up to Ferro. I can’t stand her Father he is so cruel and horrible!
Life Before Damaged Vol 5 won’t disappoint you. It has Ferro goodness in and is very hot and sexy!

I'm so caught up in Gina' s story that I want to know all of it, now. I received an Advanced Readers Copy for my honest review. I read this in about two hours because once I started it I couldn't put it down. Pete keeps saving Gina, she's not sure why because she is not his type. I'm not seeing why he thinks that he was so bad when he was with Gina. I don't think that this will cause Avery to change her mind. There is a huge surprise at the end, I didn't that coming. Well as always H.M. always has surprises at the end, that keeps you coming back for more. Thank you so much, you are awesome.

Aaaaand…I’m out. I got 1/2 way through this series and I’m done. I’m not going to challenge myself to finish like I did with the 26 books in The Arrangement series.

Gina’s father finds out her boyfriend cheated on her and he says it’s fine because men “have urges” and forces them into an engagement. Everything blew up about the rave incident and Mrs. Ferro stepped in to “save the day” by manipulating everyone the way she always does. Everyone is a chess piece in her games. I just don’t have the stomach for all the drama anymore. Some is fine, but it’s endless here.

Two words... HOLY SHIT!!!! Seriously H.M. Ward, I don't know how you piece together these literary works of art, but you're truly amazing!!! Just when you think Gina and Peter are finally giving in to their intense attraction, things get very interesting.. With that said, I feel it's my epic duty to warn you that LBD5 will leave you picking your jaw up off the floor while simultaneously turning the page because there has to be more!!! Cannot wait for the next installment!

Ok I need something higher than 5. Omg I love this, I am so excited about the ending even though the character are not. Can't wait for part 6. I won't give anything away but some serious twists. Though I'm getting nervous because I know the only reason there is a life before damaged is because Gina dies. This most surly will be devastating and I will cry like I didn't know it was coming. I hope 6 comes out soon. Love love love Peter. And right now loving his mother - thou she's a total bitch!

Holy hell, never seen that ending coming in a month of Sunday's, I got an ARC for honest reviews and have to say I have never given her a bad review because her books are amazing. Anyway book picks up where 4 left off, this book is more Jenny than Gina and we love Jenny, does she get to kiss her Peter? Will she finally be rid of cat loving Anthony?.
I laughed and cursed a few times esp at the final words said at the end of the book "welcome to the family" not saying who says it but you will be very shocked and surprised

Wow well they haven't had hot sweaty sex yet. I'm dying slowly waiting for pete and gina to admit their feeling. And dearest mom Mrs. Ferro she's a player. Blackmailing people is what she does best. Now Gina is engaged to two men now. Holy cray cray going on now.

Finally this series gets good. I knew I'd finish the series no matter what but this book finally pulled me over. So much happened and it was about time. We are finally starting to get somewhere. Although I think Gina needs to grow a pair she is starting to let her stronger self out. I kind of predicted where this was going but it still made for a very entertaining read. This book has so many reveals in it, I loved it. Now as the story get's juicier we head into 6. Here we go.

Gina is a weak, childish female lacking in true depth of character. Her redemption had better be spectacular for me to like her by the end of the series. Right now, she has few endearing qualities.

*****ARC REVIEW (SPOILER WARNING)*****

Holly you have done such an amazing job with the Ferro family I feel like I should kiss your feet (no not literally) but seriously you have
done so amazing with the series for each man Im glad I got the chance to read all about them! Pete has by far been the most interesting
and has become my favorite Ferro out of all them. This book was completely Jaw dropping I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it in
an hour! World record! Im sad for Gina cause it seems like nothing has gone right for her and in the end she doesn't get to experience her happy
ending.

This was completely shocking throughout it all!

This book took me by surprise with how everyone looked the other way (Gina's mom and dad) and completely blamed her for being childish! dear good I started to hate her family more and more by that second... I on the other hand would have continued to fight back arranged marriages are completely 40's. Anthony on the other hand I would have kicked some serious ass just to prove a point even if my parents were in the other room lol

Peter, Peter, Peter, tsk... tsk... tsk... I knew I felt something was up when he felt guilty for almost having sex with her. I understand she might be different in his eyes but only different because of something else cause he always storms off mad or upset about something and it didn't fit. The way he also was so forceful with his warning to stay away from his mom was understandable but after the second he found out Gina met up with her for lunch and his reaction was definitely something sketchy.

I guess in the end I that shocked me to my core!
Constance is definitely something else... I definitely wonder were she gets the skills for blackmail and her IDEAS she come up with for her sons
and getting what she wants only if it benefits her family!!!! This B*** is crazy lol

This books was by far the best I've read out of the LBD series the Cats finally out the bag (pun intended) lol

I cant wait for the next 3 books!

For the sake of clarity, I actually received an ARC from the author, but it expired before I got to read it, so I ended up buying it and then reading it.

I know I say it every time, but Life Before Damaged Vol. 5 was definitely my favorite installment thus far. It picks up pretty much immediately where Vol. 4 left off, and right from the start, I was hooked. I love seeing Peter and Gina's relationship evolve, and his head-butting, pissing contest with Ricky at the beginning was hilarious.

Along with Gina, I'm still trying to figure out how Peter's mind works, since he can be very confusing and frustrating at times! But there's always that hint of someone so amazing, kind, and lovable that just draws me to him and makes me unable to stop reading about him. I fell in love with him in Damaged, and I love seeing how he progresses from the jerk from Life Before Damaged into the sweet guy that I love from Damaged.

There were some scenes that just made me want to scream. Gina's father is probably one of my least favorite characters EVER. Seriously, the guy just has his head up his butt and needs to knock it off! He's such a condescending jerk, and I HATE him! Usually I like her mother, but I wanted to smack her in this installment as well.

However, the ending was incredible, and I'm so mad that I don't have the next installment in my hand. I honestly couldn't have predicted any of it, but it came as little surprise, if that makes any sense. Except for the last couple sentences. They were frustrating and amazing and had me smiling all at the same time. I am VERY excited to see how this all pans out!

OH. MY. GOD.
Holly, you are amazing!
Absolutely brilliant plot twist! I only give five stars to books that are good enough to read again, and I would read this installment of Life Before Damaged again, and again, and again. I feel like we've been waiting for this huge falling out and it finally happened, it's so exciting!
Peter and his lack of self control got him on Gina's bad side in the end, but I suspect it's temporary. Come on, no one could ignore that man for long. He's in there Gina (or should I say Jenny...), you can bring him out!! I love how Gina's witty, confident side is finally showing itself. It's great getting to see her grow through these books and help Pete along the way. My favorite quote from her in this one was "Go cough up a furball." LOL!
Oh man, Anythony, see ya loser! I have to say her parents reaction to the whole Anthony situation was so typically expected, especially with how her dad has treated her in the past. No respect at all. He should embrace his daughters talents and brains instead of making her into a trophy wife for a complete loser. Oh well, he got his handed to him by Mrs. Ferro herself, HA! Love that women! Oh god, isn't she just perfect in her own screwed up way? And I'll leave you with a perfect last line from this amazing book: "Welcome to the family, dear." And it begins...!!

**Taken from my book blog at http://booknerd0116.blogspot.com/2015... **

This fifth installment shows us a much more relaxed Gina. Then again, throwing back drink after drink at the club probably had a lot to do with that. Regardless, she lets down her guard a bit and lets loose with the goal to finally have some fun, only hours after her world fell apart. Gina has only one thing on her mind and is determined that something is going to happen that night. She has no idea that she'll run into Pete once again.

For a second time Pete has the opportunity to have whatever he wants from Gina but he proves once again that there's more to him than the fact that he's a Ferro. In fact, he is starting to, more often than not, show Gina that he's really nothing like she originally thought he was. There's far more to Pete than Gina ever imagined.

LBD 5 gives us more of an inside understanding of just how evil and wicked the Ferro family and their matriarch really are as well. We learn that she will do just about anything to protect her family name and get what she wants. This could really benefit Gina too, or so it seems. You never know what's in store when the Ferro family is involved though.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

If you're looking at reading this book, then you've already read 1-4. You're going to read this book regardless because it's next BUT hold on to your hats because this one ROCKS!

1. The heat is ON for Gina and Peter. Palpable sexual tension makes for good reading material, just sayin'.
2. The banter between Gina and Peter is fantastic. There's emotion in the banter. 75% of the book is just the two of them. The readers have been waiting for this exchange. It builds the characters and makes them real.
3. The Ferro power and influence reigns supreme. I won't say more because I like to keep my reviews spoiler free, but you'll understand more when you read it. It's especially intriguing because you know the ultimate end to the story but you don't know how it gets there.
4. You'll develop a new level of loathing for Mr Granz and Anthony. Arrogant, chauvinistic characters.

Bottom line, I read H.M. Ward's books because they're entertaining. But this installment is particularly excellent because of the reasons above. Now start reading!!

Absolutely loved and found myself unable to stop reading. H.M. Ward has written another amazing, romantic Ferro story with a cliffhanger that keeps you suspended in air waiting with anticipation for the next volume. I received an ARC for an honest review.
Pete Ferro drives a drunk, sexually aggressive Gina to his house. She wakes up wondering if they did anything and depressingly finds out nothing happened. What is wrong with her when her ex-boyfriend, Anthony, finds sexual enjoyment with other women, and the sexually alluring Pete Ferro who is known to be a sex machine will have sex with any other woman but her?
As Gina is summoned to her father's office, she has a feeling her father knows everything about the warehouse party, will have her arrested for the fire and sent to jail but........Don't miss out on reading more about the Sexy Pete Ferro, a storyline that captivates the reader from the beginning and ends with a cliffhanger leaving the reader hanging unto the edge of his or her seat. Can't wait for Volume 6 by the extraordinary, awesomesauce H.M. Ward!

I received an ARC of Life for Damaged for an honest review.

Wow I was not expecting what happened to happen in this last installment. Peter is definitely becoming more swoon worthy than I ever expected. I like how Gina could see Sean for the damaged person he is, which only Avery ever seems to see.

Gina after dealing with her "break-up" tries to forget what happened and ends up spending the night with Peter, just not the way she wanted.

Now she's home and when she thought her parents would be there for her they side with her ex and now she's engaged. When she thinks it couldn't possibly get any worse Mrs. Ferro shows up (EVIL) and everything Gina has worked for is about to come tumbling down.

I enjoyed this last installment, but I didn't love it. This part felt drawn out when the others are usually quicker in pace. I still enjoy Gina's character a lot and can't wait to see what happens with her and Peter.

O.M.G....then BAM!!!!

First off I just wanted to say that this is my first written review ( I know, sorry lol).... Just finished this book and let me tell you, Holly is the ULTIMATE STORY TELLER MASTER at keeping her reader's on the edge of their seats!!
With every page you turn, needing to find out more, hearts pounding wildly, shock factor in place, emotions all over the map, jaws clenching, excitement grows, then.....she leaves you AGAIN PLEADING and SCREAMING for MORE!! PURE GENIUS!! :-)
In this installment you can just FEEL Peter struggling between desire and being a better person, not only for himself, but for Gina as well. You also get a little of our beloved Sean (sigh!!!). And that manipulative bitch Mrs. Ferro. Put it all together you get one hell of a recipe of pure adrenaline rush!! Job VERY well done Holly!!! Can not wait for the next installment

Okay, I have to admit something: I was very excited to finally have another story on Peter (He's MY favorite Ferro) and was disappointed at first, not by the story but the description of what we would get to read. I was under the impression that it would be Gina's Journals so I expect more Diary'ish, and not story telling.

With that being said I can now say OMG I don't care how its being told - I'm in love with this story and sitting on the edge of my seat. It's mentally climactic, full of desire, anticipation and inner turmoil. The build up is small, slow and steady to only be overcome by the most mental climax one can ever receive.

I've loved every Ferro story but this by far has to be one of the best unexpected, breath holding, mouth dropping Saga's I've ever read.

Ummmmm one word WOW!!!. You seriously can't deny what's between Gina and Peter. I can't believe the way Gina's dad is treating her and forcing her to do something she doesn't want to do. He really should have listened to her because he basically got screwed. Peter is hot and cold. He wants Gina but then he doesn't want Gina. If I was her I would Punch her stupid boyfriend in the face just saying lol. This was book had some many surprises it kept you on your toes. Peter's mom is crazy for what she did and doing. I'm trying real hard not to spoil anything. Holly this book is amazing I can't wait to read more. Keep it up.

WOW!!!! What a highly explosive book with all the twist and turns with Peter and Gina's love story. The emotions that these characters bring out the romance is so vibrant and exotic that you feel that you are living the whole story with them.

I am so excited for the next part of LBD. People you need to buy these books because they have you hooked and you will not be disappointed with your purchase.

Thank you so much H.M.Ward for the insight of that marvelous and exciting brain of yours and sharing your work. It is a wonderful pleasure to read your books.
