Evan Cole runs the historic Bellamy Hotel with surgical precision. From the angle of the orchids in the lobby to the thread count in the suites, every variable is managed, optimized, and controlled. It’s the only way he knows how to keep the world—and his past—at bay.
Enter Lucas Reed.
Chaotic, charming, and carrying his life in a battered leather duffel, the corporate consultant is everything Evan isn't. He’s here to audit the hotel’s operations, but he seems far more interested in dismantling Evan’s composure.
When a plumbing disaster destroys the guest penthouse, Evan is forced to do the share his own suite with the enemy.
Suddenly, the "Strictly Professional" lines are blurring. Late-night arguments over coffee turn into heated encounters in service elevators, and the quiet intimacy of a shared living space begins to crack the walls Evan has spent years building.
Lucas has spent a lifetime leaving before he can be left. He doesn't do "permanent." But as he uncovers the man beneath the suit, he starts to wonder if he’s finally found a place worth staying.
When Evan’s terrifying need for control collides with Lucas’s deepest insecurities, the foundation they’ve built threatens to collapse. Can a man who manages everything learn to let go? And can a man who always runs finally decide to unpack?
Checked Into Him is a steamy, high-heat M/M romance featuring the "Grumpy x Sunshine" and "Forced Proximity" tropes, a emotional hurt/comfort arc, and a guaranteed Happily Ever After.
I expected something fluffier, it isn't heavy but isn't fluffy it feels longer that it is and I think it could be shorter it's a bit repetitive and verbose some things here and there fell through the cracks but isn't not a bad book
